Chapter 11 - Don't Call Me That

Gazing out the window he sat by, he observed the quiet forest that surrounded their school campus. A small family of rabbits could be seen scurrying away as a hawk swooped around above them, angling itself before going for the dive.

'Oh no...' he thought, pulling at his soft green locks, it was going after the baby in the back.

He could already feel the bird's sharp claws as they dug their way in and around the infant creature. With a powerful flap of its wings, it pushed itself off and away from the forest ground and into the clear blue sky it went, the baby rabbit barely struggling anymore.

Saddened by what he'd just seen, his attention was brought back to homeroom as someone called his name from across the room. Turning to face the source of the call, he recognized the all too familiar face of his best friend.

"Uraraka! Good morning!" he said, his spirits rising at her enthusiastic smile.

Before taking the bus this morning, he had reminisced on the past, on days that he'd tried very hard to erase these past months.

'I guess he's still able to open old wounds.' He thought as he imagined the blond sitting in front of him.

The bus ride had been rather awkward, at least that's how he felt it. In a silent agreement, they decided to keep quiet the whole ride to school. Though he was happy that Kacchan had decided to sit with him.

On more than one occasion, when the bus would make a sharp turn, he'd feel their shoulders and arms press upon each other, sending a small jolt through his body, electrifying all his senses. Never had he ever felt something so...'unique' he thought.

He tried comparing it to the warmth he felt at having Todoroki's hand in his grasp the day before, but it was nothing like that. With Todoroki, it felt warm, oddly enough, he felt at peace and that relaxed him.

Though he and Kacchan weren't holding hands on the bus, nor was there any skin to skin contact, he could feel the heat the teen let off, it was on a whole different level than Todoroki's.

He felt as if every nerve ending was set on fire as they sent one electric impulse after the other, nonstop, never tiring, wanting more.

'This is new..' he thought to himself. He'd never felt anything quite like it. It was scary but it was also good, pleasurable in a sense.

Though not quite sure what it was he was feeling, he knew he wanted more. He craved it, as if his body was asking for something that it had once lost, as if it belonged to him.

He was quickly engrossed in some random gossip Uraraka wanted to share with him once she had made it to his desk, thoughts of a certain blond leaving his mind as quickly as they came.

Our angry blond wasn't doing any better himself. Though much more reserved than the nerd behind him, he didn't let this sensation get the better of him.

He had been staring at the nerd and called him 'beautiful'. He was beyond shocked at his crazy ass mind playing such messed-up jokes on him.

He had wanted to get off the bus when he noticed what he had said to the nerd, that is until he perceived his words had fallen on deaf ears, the nerd was too caught up watching the fucking sun.

Still not 100% sure of what was happening to him whenever the nerd was near him or when something reminded him of the green Deku, he felt at peace with something inside of him since yesterday. Even his dream last night hadn't left him waking sad or angry, but rather perplexed and giddy.

The kiss he had 'forced' upon the nerd in that vivid dream of his had left his waking lips with a burning sensation as they craved for more contact.

Though he knew it was just a dream, it had felt so real to him, and it conflicted him considering he had thought he hated the nerd. So, why was he dreaming about such things now?

Listening to the two nerds behind him, he gave a soft irritated growl as he heard Deku whisper to the round faced Uraraka that the half-and-half bastard had held his hand on their walk home yesterday,

'What the hell does he think he's doing letting random people grab his hand?' he thought as he looked up at the sight of a short girl with a slender build and rather large hands walk up to him.

'Great, now the frog wants to chat.' He thought as she greeted him.

"Hello Bakugo-chan." she said, giving a polite wave of her hand. Staring him down.

Figuring she wouldn't get a response; she stated her business.

"I would like to speak to you whenever you get a chance today, just look for me when you're ready. Kero." And with that, she left.

Having no time to really say anything at all to her, he just sat there and contemplated her request. He wouldn't yell across the hall to tell her 'no'.

"Tch! Fucking extras." He spat as their teacher walked into the room, indicating the start of their school day.

"Alright, as I said on Wednesday, today you're going to be evaluated on your ability to work together and how well you adapt to one another during an encounter with a villain." He said, noticing how his words were creating an excited atmosphere within his students.

"Keep in mind that the objective isn't to capture the villain or hide. It's very simple: work together to confront the villain for 15 minutes and nothing else." He said, getting ready to wrap it up.

"Now, you have 30 minutes to get into your hero costumes and meet me at training field 3. Get moving or get out." Were his final words as he grabbed his things and walked away.

"Whoop! Whoop! Hell yeah am I hyped for this!" yelled an overexcited Kirishima, "Let's beat them with our manliness Bakugo!"

"Shut up shitty hair!" Shouted the explosive blond walking to the door, not ready to put up with his partner's excessive energy so early in the morning.

"It's alright Bakubro! We'll show 'em anyways!" he said, following his friend through the door and putting an arm over his shoulder.

"Don't fucking call me that! And get your paws off me!" was heard from outside, as Midoriya and Todoroki walked out of the room together.

"Prick's gonna fail." He stated, no emotion held whatsoever in his words. Todoroki focused his look down the hall at the two bickering teens.

"Don't say that Todoroki. You state it as if it were a fact." Said Midoriya, failing to put any weight behind his words.

Facing his friend as they continued walking to the locker room, he wanted to say so many things that would put the blond boy below the worst of the worlds scum. Deciding it not his best idea, he settled for something else.

"Midoriya, I have something important I want to ask you today." He told the boy.

As he spoke these words, he could feel his heart wanting to take the next flight to farthest fucking country possible. He was scared and he hadn't even said what he truly intended to say.

Falling into the trap laid out by the older boy, Midoriya couldn't help but wonder what he was talking about.

"Oh? That just makes me want to know what it is. And please don't call me that, you can call me Izuku." He whined, pushing his bottom lip out as he made puppy dog eyes at Todoroki, "Tell me now, pretty please."

Tripping over himself as he had been staring at the adorable face his crush currently putting on display for all to see, he grabbed the boy's hand to steady himself.

"Don't do that Izuku, I'm not telling you until later." He said, getting his bearings and continued their walk, happy he was on first name basis with the boy.

As they were nearing the locker rooms, Midoriya stopped acting like a spoiled toddler and huffed as he went in to change.

He spotted Kacchan in the locker closest to the far end of the room, shirtless about to take off his shoes. He could feel his throat go dry at the sight of a muscular milky tan back, how those toned muscles moved around at his every command.

He quickly imagined the blond wrapping a pair of very muscular arms around him. Shaking those thoughts out of his head, he began changing his own clothes.

'What's with these intense ideas?' he asked his inner self.

As Katsuki Bakugo finished he began walking towards the exit and his eyes couldn't help but drift off to the where a certain mop of green hair was removing its clothing.

His wandering gaze caught a glimpse of plump round butt cheeks tightly enclosed in black boxer briefs.

'Damn!' he thought, bringing his eyes back into focus.

From the other end of the room, a bicolor-haired teen could be seen observing little Midoriya shedding every piece of clothing.

Suddenly, a dark figure blocked the wonderful view he had of the teen across the room. Lifting his gaze he was met with the intense glare of the one and only.

"Fucking perv!" spat Bakugo, challenging him to fight back.

Surprised he'd been caught staring and Izuku, he simply ignored the blond and sat down to tie his shoes. After a few seconds, he gave a quick sideways glance and noticed both teens had already left the locker rooms.

As the students made it to training field 3, they partnered up and waited for their sensei's instructions.

A few minutes later, a soft "Quiet!" was heard as their sensei walked to the front. As the room fell silent, Aizawa began explaining.

"Ok, the first group to will be Momo Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jiro. You know the objective, you know the rules, you have 15 minutes. Get out there." He said rather unenthusiastically.

"The rest of you, follow me to the screening room." He said, leading the way, he just wanted some sleep, why didn't they understand him.

Team after team went up and so far, they had all accomplished the mission. These students were proving to be much more than he had considered.

'They might just make it.' He thought, watching the screens that showed the students currently being evaluated as the 15-minute marker indicated they had completed the assignment.

"Next is up Denki Kaminari and Minoru Mineta. Go!" he said, as two students made their way into the room.

"Ladies, good job, you passed." He congratulated the girls and turned back to face the screen.

"That's wassup! Up top!" celebrated the hype purple girl known as Mina, as she stretched her arm up into the air waiting for her high-five.

"Kero?" said Asui, wondering what her friend was doing.

Face palming, Mina walked up to her friend and tried explaining.

"You're supposed to take your hand and slap it onto mine, it's called a high five, Tsu." She did the motion.

"What's the reason behind it? Kero." She asked, dumbfounded.

Giving up, Mina gave a frustrated sigh and went to take a seat towards the back. Her clueless friend had other plans.

She beelined through her classmates in search of the blond. Spotting him in a corner, she walked up to him.

"I believe if you were given the opportunity to look for me, you wouldn't, so, I've decided to come on my own." She said, kneeling in front of him, meeting his gaze without fear.

"What do you want frog?" he asked, not forgetting the nickname he'd given her.

"Please call me Asui, you are not my friend to have such confidence towards me, only my friends may give me nicknames." She stated, no stutter could be heard from the confident teen girl.

"Tch! As if I cared." He was quickly getting annoyed.

"No, you do not care. For anyone around here, and the other day I couldn't help but notice you wanting to speak to Midoriya-chan." She grabbed onto what he had said and continued bashing on young Bakugo.

Taken aback by her rash statement about him, he made quick work of trying to get rid of the girl.

"Why do you care if I talk to him? Leave me alone. Go hop into some pond or something." He told her.

"I care because Midoriya-chan is my friend and I have seen the way you treat him, and that's considering you're supposed to be 'childhood friends'." She stated matter of factly, not backing down.

"I will not stand by and watch as you use him to figure yourself out, there are better ways of doing that." She said.

Pissed beyond what seemed logical, he took a deep breath as he remembered that their sensei was still in the room

"Mind your own fucking business frog!" he wanted her to leave him alone.

"I told you before, you may call me Asui." She reminded him, still not frightened of the boy, "And I will mind my business when I'm sure my friends are in no danger whatsoever. Kero."

With that she finished and hopped off to find an empty seat within the room.

'Fucking extra, going on about the nerd.' He thought, 'Why is everyone suddenly so interested in him, he used to be nothing.'

His ears perked up as the 15-minute timer went off again.

"Next up! Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki. Go!" said their sensei, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Alright Todoroki, let's show 'em what we've put together." Said a rather excited Midoriya pulling Todoroki out of the room, hand in hand.

Though the room was dark, Bakugo saw it, their hands. He wanted to stand up right then and there and blast the fucker through the wall for grabbing his Deku's hand.

'Wait! Since when is he mine?' he scolded himself. This was getting out of hand. He needed to calm down, and soon, Kiri and he were the last pair.

As the pair walked out of the room another pair was seen making their way back in, Mineta leading a braindead Kaminari to a chair.

"Tch! Fucking Pikachu." he scoffed placing his eyes on the screen.

Out in the training field, both teens had placed in their earpiece to listen to their sensei. As the timer began, both teens stood there not hearing anything on the earpiece, after a few seconds they decided to get to moving.

The training field was composed of buildings of different heights, debris littered the area, evidence that they weren't the first ones out here.

Deciding they were too exposed out in the middle of the street, they moved into a small alleyway to their right as they began going over their plan.

"So, when we find him, that's your cue Todoroki." Midoriya said, getting ready to walk down the street for all to see.

As they observed their classmates making their way through the field, Uraraka walked up to her sensei, slightly worried.

"Sensei, shouldn't we let them know that we can hear them, and that they can't hear us?" she asked knowing what Todoroki had in mind.

"They'll be fine." He quickly put her worries aside.

Back on the field, little Izuku walked around nervously, 5 minutes having passed already and there was no sign of the villain anywhere.

He was about to turn back to Todoroki when out of nowhere and explosion was heard two buildings down the road, as the pro hero Midnight jumped out into the streets.

"Oh! Alone are ya? Where's your little friend Mr. Hero!?" she laughed, walking towards the teen.

Before she could take another step, a giant wall of ice could be seen forming between the two as Todoroki ran out and Midoriya activated his quirk and jumped up high into the buildings.

"Now!" he yelled down at his friend as he landed on the rooftop to the right of Midnight.

Todoroki quickly activated his fire quirk and began melting the ice way past its boiling point, leaving a thick fog in the area, making it nearly impossible to see anything.

Midoriya could see, he had a vantage point from high above. Locking onto Midnight, he pushed off the buildings edge slammed his shoulder into her chest knocking her back further into the fog.

"Wanna play rough! I'll knock you out before you ever know what hit you!" she said, getting a hold of herself, she made a quick left sidestep as Midoriya dashed past her and crashed into the building ahead.

She took his mistake and made a dash for him, taking out her whip she snapped it barely missing his cheek.

"Get up little hero!" she said, mocking the boy.

Back on his feet, he ran to his right back into the fog. Looking around, he no longer knew where he was.

"Todoroki! I can't see!" he yelled at his friend, praying he heard.

"Kick it away Midoriya!" he answered his friend, making his way over to the building on his left, holding on it, preparing for what was coming.

"Right!" he said to himself as he positioned his feet tightly on the ground, "Full Cowl! 20%!" he said before taking off directly into the air above him.

Midflight, he took his right leg and pulled back, he then let it go as a gust of pressurized wind blew the fog away and sent him spinning around.

Midnight wasn't expecting that sudden rush of air, so she was pushed up against the building closest to her as she waited for it to pass, barely being able to move.

Todoroki saw his opportunity, he stretched out his hand and as he was about to shoot some ice in her direction, their eyes met, and the wind subsided. She rapidly pushed off the wall and hid behind the building.

"Shit! She got away Midoriya!" he said to his friend who had just landed.

"Don't relax just yet, remember, she's a pro hero." He had spoken just as the air was filling with what seem to be a sparkly pink dust.

"It's her quirk!" Todoroki recognized, "Don't breathe it!" he warned his friend.

"Hurry! Burn it! It's gas, it's gotta disperse!" Always being quick minded, said Midoriya, praying it worked.

"Midoriya, you know I don't used my father's quirk to that extent..." he tried, as his mind rushed to form another idea.

"Just do it or we're gonna pass out!" he screamed now, his lungs burning from the lack of oxygen. He got into position and rushed up into the buildings to attack from above again.

Unsure of what was going to happen, Todoroki shot his hand out and closed his eyes as a blazing jet of red-hot flames came rushing out, burning everything in its path.

He felt as the left side of his body began lighting, opening his eyes, he saw the fire consuming Midnight's gassy quirk, and soon they were out of control, they began going in every direction. His eye caught sight of Midoriya as he was about to cross paths with the scorching hot flames in his attempt to attack Midnight.

"NO! MIDORIYA!" He shouted, barely able to pull his quirk back. The flames had grazed the boy's arm, he had fucked up, he had hurt his friend.

He ran, but it wasn't going to be enough, so he gave himself a push directing his left arm behind him to let a jet of flames out. He was going to make it, he had to.

Back inside the screening room, every teen could be seen on the edge of their chairs, surrounding the screens, scared as they saw the boy make his way towards the flames.

"Sensei stop it!" said Mina.

Katsuki Bakugo was no longer sitting, his nerves were on edge, he was getting ready to blast the fuck out of there and go after the stupid Deku. That is until he looked at the screen and saw it.

Peppermint boy stretched his arms out and caught the falling boy. They both landed on the street and he crouched with the boy still in his arms.

"Kami Mido, I'm so sorry! That wasn't supposed to happen!" They could all hear as he apologized. All let out a breath they didn't ever know they were holding.

"Time for bed little ones." They heard Midnight say as she activated her quirk only a few feet away from the boys on the floor.

"Hurry, enclose us in an ice shield, the gas won't make it in." Groaning a bit from the pain in his arm, they could see Midoriya as he held onto Todoroki as he spoke.

'Good idea nerd', thought the blond, transfixed on the scene.

Before Midoriya had time to finish speaking, Todoroki was already making the closed igloo, trapping them inside. He could be seen holding on tighter to the boy still in his arms, as he apologized once again.

"Todoroki, don't worry, I wasn't careful enough and took the risk when I jumped." They heard Midoriya say trying to calm his friend down.

Just when they were about to think of a way out of the ice, the 15-minute timer could be heard going off, allowing them to let out a sigh as they had officially finished the assignment.

"Alright you two, you're up." Aizawa said as he turned to the last two students.

A smirking blond turned around ready to leave with a hyped Kirishima when he heard something coming from the screen.

"Midoriya, earlier I said I wanted to ask you something, remember?" Todoroki asked his friend as they stood.

"Don't call me that, you know you can call me Izuku. But yes, I do remember, are you going to tell me now?" he heard the Deku answer back.

Before Todoroki went on, Uraraka made her way over to her sensei and begged him to turn it off.

"I can't, Kaminari reversed the circuit earlier." He explained. She sighed and sat back down.

'Don't do it Todo, just wait a few more minutes...' she thought looking worriedly at the screen.

Bakugo had seen how the round faced extra had begged Aizawa to shut it off, something was up, and he wanted to know.

Looking back at the screen, he saw the peppermint bastard melting the ice as he spoke.

"Alright, I was wondering if maybe you'd do me the honor of going out on a date with me, Izuku?" He continued melting the ice, not having the courage to really face Midoriya.

"Huh?" was the last thing Katsuki heard before storming the fuck out of there.
