WHY IS THE OC ALWAYS A RUNNER

AND I MEAN NOT LIKE THEY RIGHTFULLY EARNED IT BY TRIAL AND ERROR BECAUSE I'D BE FINE WITH THAT

BUT AT TIMES THEY JUST KIND OF

sometimes the OC will even be at another job and then be like "nah, i don't like this one" and then they drop everything to become one and it's like...that's not how it works boi

for my story "Different" i had dylan become a runner from going into the maze but then later she realized she was awful and became a track-hoe (that sounds so weird why did jdash do that)

but most of the time they ~*Magically Know*~ they need to be a runner like:

"Now," Newt began, "every morning when those doors open, the Runners look for a way out."

And at that exact moment, I knew I was destined to be a Runner.

it's one thing for them to be curious because i mean who wouldn't be ??? but for them to think "WOW WHO CARES ABOUT THESE OTHER JOBS I NEED TO BE A RUNNER IT IS FATE"

and they always have the perfect stamina to keep up. they seemingly only get tired when minho does.

i have asthma i'd be dead within the first thirty seconds
