When trying to think of a chapter idea, I was seeing what I had already talked about and somehow I have missed out one of the key elements of M/T. SUSPENSE.

Suspense is every writer's friend, best friend, husband, wife. And to most M/T writers it is almost like the oxygen we breathe because it keeps your story ALIVE. Getting your readers on the edge of their seats (to the point where they are almost falling off this hypothetical chair- I mean who has actually fallen off a chair while reading?) is what you aim for.

There are some very simple ways to create suspense:

- have spooky surroundings. Put your character in some dark forest
-make your character find a note/sign which is obviously very sinister
-have some creepy noises in the background for a nice atmosphere

Idk I can't think of anymore ways. If in doubt, just have the main character asking rhetorical questions.

Where am I?

What was that noise?

Why is there a note on my desk?

Why is this man walking towards me?
