#3 - How to get good plot ideas?
HOW TO GET GOOD PLOT IDEAS?

Good plot ideas can be found in many things if you open you're mind to possibilities. It requires creativity and the drive to craft your own stories.
1. Interesting Conversations.
You're riding a bus on the way to school, holding your notebook and your pen, you tried to think of anything that might add to the plot you have in mind for your story when you suddenly hear the person seated in front of you converse with someone angrily on her phone.
That's based on my observation though, and I find it somehow helpful because it inspired my imagination. So yeah, try it guys.
2. Prompts.
There are tons of sites and apps where you can get prompts for free. Like Pinterest, or you can just search prompts in Google. I also highly recommend writing prompts on Instagram because aside from tons of ideas those miniature and monochromatic photos can give, some of them are funny.
Try to draw an idea from this example: Avengers: Infinity War where everything's the same, except Thanos doesn't know how to snap his fingers.
3. Books.
Stephen King once said, "If you want to be a writer you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot."
Our ideas aren't original, other writers did it, other writers told it already, other writers used it but what makes those ideas different is the way you write it... The way you form the words so that it shows scenes vividly depicted on the reader's mind.
4. Movies and Music.
Good movies and some series can inspire the inner writer in you. Sometimes spending your day wasting away in your own room, with a cup of coffee in hand or perhaps popcorns, facing your laptop and binge-watching anime series, Netflix series, and those good old movies might just be the right choice.
I also recommend listening and watching spoken poetries on YouTube.
5. Think of Twists.
But please bear in mind that you need to give some hints on the previous chapters about this twist so that you're readers won't be baffled as to why it's so sudden. You need to build up the momentum, or put other conflicts on the story that your readers will focus on before dropping the bomb, but they can't blame you as long as you hinted and gave some clues as to why the story twisted into that path.
Also put in mind that no story is perfect and that ideas suddenly popping out of the blure aren't all worth writing... Some are just passing fancies and inspiration, and inspiration won't guarantee a completed novel. So before building a plot and after the brainstorming of ideas, ask yourself... Is this story worth writing?
Sana may natutunan kayo!
