When?

A twenty-year-old Astrid Hofferson was standing in front of her mirror. She was wearing a creme colored dress, and her hair was in a beautiful braid. She sighed, today was the day where two of her friends were marrying, while she was still waiting for her boyfriend to propose to her.

She and Hiccup were a couple for six years now, and they already moved in their own apartment, but he still didn't propose to her. It was kind of frustrating to be honest. Now,two of her friends were marrying, while she was still waiting for her dork of a boyfriend to propose.

Heather and Fishlegs have been a couple for four years now, and it was about half a year ago, when Fishlegs finally proposed to his girlfriend. Heather had told Astrid that he proposed to her right after the two of them went to one of those fancy restaurants. She said it was magical, and Astrid was really happy for her, but disappointed at the same time. Disappointed because her boyfriend still didn't said the four magic words, "will you marry me".

Well, today was the day where Fishlegs and Heather were marrying, and Astrid was chosen by Heather to be the bridesmaid, while her boyfriend, Hiccup, was chosen by Fishlegs to be his best man.

"Babe, can you help me real quick?" The blonde girl called out, while fixing her hair once again. Shortly after, her boyfriend entered the room, wearing black trousers, a suit jacket, underneath the jacket a white dress shirt and a black tie. His hair was in his usual shaggy style and Astrid felt her heart flutter when she saw the love of her life.

"What's wrong, M'lady?" He asked, a little bit of worry in his voice.

Astrid giggled and turned around, now facing the mirror again, "can you pull up the zipper of my dress, please?" She asked, Hiccup nodded and took a step forward.

He took the zipper and started pulling it up slowly, "you look beautiful, M'lady," he complimented her, Astrid smiled, "and you're smoking hot as always," he said, his voice a low growl. Then he finished pulling up the zipper, hugged her from behind and kissed his girlfriend's cheek. Hiccup then started placing a few kisses on her neck, as Astrid tensed a little bit, smiling.

"I love you," he suddenly said and Astrid's lips escaped a low moan. The auburn haired boy chuckled.

Astrid then smirked, "when do we have to be at the church, babe?" She asked Hiccup.

"10 am," he murmured as he continued kissing his girlfriend lovingly.

"And what time do we have now?" Astrid questioned and Hiccup smirked.

"8:30 am," he replied, "so we have one and a half hours left. But Fishlegs told me to be there half an hour earlier. Just in case he's starting to freak out," he said and sucked a little bit on the soft skin of Astrid's neck, making her moan again. "Also, the drive to the church takes half an hour," he told her.

"So we have half an hour left before we have to go," Astrid said, Hiccup just nodded in reply.
"Do you have an idea of how we can kill the time?" She asked in a voice that she knew Hiccup found attractive.

[ ^ Idk how to write this omg, my English is so bad ^ ]

"Well," the 21-Year-Old young man said, "I do..." He didn't finish his sentence because he already knew what Astrid wanted to kill time with. Astrid smiled at him through the mirror as Hiccup started to zip the zipper back down again...

{Sorry I'm too lazy to write a lemon part}

Astrid placed her head on Hiccup's bare chest, both of them panting like crazy.

"That was good," Astrid admitted and trailed a hand back down to his private part.

Hiccup smiled down at her, "very good," he said then took a glance at his watch, "it's 8:50, babe, we should get ready." Astrid nodded and got up, putting her underwear back on. Hiccup took his time an watched her doing so, he wasn't stupid after all.

After Astrid started to put her dress back on, he got up too and took his boxers from the ground, putting them on. It took them almost 25 minutes to get ready, so they left the house in a hurry.
They got in the car, shared a quick kiss and started driving to the church.

{I'm too lazy and I got a headache so I'll skip the ceremony}

After the ceremony was over, the guests - mostly family and friends - made their way to the cove, which technically was a big, modern house at a lake, surrounded by a beautiful forest. It was about 1 pm and the ceremony was great. Before the ceremony had started, Fishlegs was freaking out, since he was sacred he will make a mistake and ruin the whole wedding. Hiccup helped him calm down and everything was alright.

They arrived at the house and Hiccup helped Fishlegs' parents to carry a few things inside the kitchen of the house, where a few chefs would be making the food that would be served later on.

While her boyfriend did that, Astrid kept Heather and Fishlegs company, along with Snotlout and the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut. Ruffnut and Astrid were Heather's bridesmaids and Snotlout, Tuffnut and Hiccup, Fishlegs' best men.

Astrid got kind of quiet while the day carried on, so Heather decided to have a talk with her while the boys were goofing around.

She grabbed Astrid and went to a room in the house, where no one would disturb their talk. "Tell me what's wrong, Astrid," Heather said as she let go of her friend's arm.

Astrid looked down and shrugged, "tell me," Heather demanded.

The blonde girl sighed, "okay, well, Hiccup and I are a couple for six years now," she began, "and he still hasn't proposed to me yet," she finished and rubbed her arm.

"Astrid, what are you saying?" Heather asked a little bit confused. Sure, she understood what her friend meant, but why is she worrying that much about Hiccup proposing to her, the two of them were inseparable anyway!

"What if he doesn't want to marry me?" The blonde exclaimed, looking right into her friend's green eyes.

Heather snorted, "are you serious?!" She said, "he loves you, Astrid. He always will, just give him time. Fishlegs told me it took him three months to finally find the courage to ask me to marry him, maybe he just doesn't has the courage to ask you yet," the young woman said, placing her hand on Astrid's shoulder.

"I guess you're right," Astrid said and smiled a little bit.

"Believe me, he will propose to you, maybe sooner than you expect."

// One hour before //

"Heather, can we talk for a few minutes?" An auburn haired young man asked, Heather looked at him with a puzzled look, but nodded nonetheless.

The two of them went to the same room Heather and Astrid will have their talk in and Hiccup sighed.

"What's wrong?" Heather questioned him as he just stood there, staring at her.

"First of all, you look great in that dress," Hiccup complimented her, Heather rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, you already told me that after the wedding," she said, "now, what do you want to talk about?"

"Oh yeah, right," Hiccup said awkwardly, "I wanted to ask you, if..." He hesitated, "well..."

"Hiccup, spill, there are people who still want to congratulate me," Heather said impatiently.

The young man nodded, and took something out of his pocket. It was a small, red box, he then opened it and inside the box was a beautiful ring, with a small blue sapphire on it. Heather gasped, "do you think Astrid will like it?" He asked her and Heather instantly punched his shoulder.
"Ow?! What the heck? That was a simple question!" Hiccup exclaimed as he nearly dropped the box.

"Of course she will!" Heather whisper shouted, "it's not about 'do you like the ring', it's about 'will you marry me'!" She exclaimed and Hiccup scratched his chin, Heather then noticed that he was growing a stubble, took him long enough.

"I know, I know, but I'm so nervous, I wanted to ask her later," he said and Heather smiled widely, "do you think it's a good idea to take her for a walk and then ask her?" He asked and Heather shrugged, then placed a hand on his shoulder.

"it doesn't really matter where or when you propose to her, Hiccup," she assured him, "as long as you do propose to her..."

Hiccup smiled and put the box with the ring in back into his pocket, "okay then, I'll ask her when the sun starts to set."

// 7 pm //

The pictures have been made, well not all of them because the photographer was waiting for the sun to set so he can make more pictures of the two newlyweds. The food was going to be served at 8 pm after the sun has set and Hiccup kept fidgeting his leg underneath the table. He was nervous. Very, very nervous.

'What if she says no?' And 'How am I going to ask her?' were the two main questions inside his head. Hiccup took a few deep breaths and rose from his seat. He was seated with his friends, the bride and the groom. "Astrid?" He said and the blonde girl looked up at him, "w-wanna go for a...walk?" The auburn haired young man asked. His girlfriend nodded and stood up.

Hiccup reached out his hand and took a quick glance at Heather, she just have him a reassuring smile. Hiccup smiled back as he and Astrid started walking towards the forest. The sun has just started to set and Hiccup felt his heart pounding in his chest. The two of them walked for half an hour, until they arrived at an opening of the forest. It was some kind of hill, or cliff, from where you could overlook the lake. You could even see the house where all the guests of Fishlegs' and Heather were sitting, chatting happily.

There was a bench and a small fence to prevent people from falling down the cliff, right into the lake. Hiccup leaned on it, letting go of Astrid's hand. Astrid walked next to him and the two of them overlooked the water, which was glittering magically in the light of the setting sun.

"It's beautiful," Astrid whispered, barley audible, but Hiccup was still able to hear her.

"Just like you M'lady," he said, turning his head to look at her with a smile. He could see Astrid blush at his compliment and chuckled. After all those years, she still blushed when he complimented her. The two of them were quiet for a few minutes until Hiccup took another deep breath. He then turned to Astrid, taking both of her hands in his.

The sun was kissing the line between the horizon and the earth, creating a beautiful reflection on the still glittering water. The light was reflecting everything in beautiful red, orange and yellow light, making everything looking like a dream for both of them.

{ ^ I don't know how to explain that either, it's like their first kiss in Race To The Edge, only that half of the setting sun has already vanished ^ }

"We are a couple for six years now, Astrid," Hiccup started, his heart beating fast, almost jumping out of his chest, "we've been through everything together, and if you ask me, I never want that to change," he said, "the past six years with you as my beautiful and amazing girlfriend were more than just amazing. I can't explain how much you mean to me M'lady," Hiccup said, then he got on one knee in front of her, he let go of her hands and got the tiny, red box out of his pocket.

Hiccup opened it and it revealed a beautiful ring, with a blue sapphire on top of it.

As he did that, Astrid's heart skipped a few beats, she felt like passing out, her hands flew to her mouth."I want you to know, that I do, and always will, love you with all my heart," Hiccup said, taking a deep breath,

"and that is the reason why I ask this here and now, will you, Astrid Hofferson, marry me?"

The time stood still for a few seconds before Astrid found the words to reply.

"Oh Thor, yes!" She almost squealed, Hiccup chuckled a little bit, then he took her hand and gently slid the ring on her finger. He kissed her hand gently and smiled at her.

Astrid then pulled him up by the collar of his jacket, and kissed him. The kiss was hot and passionate, and Hiccup found himself melting into it once again. Kissing the love of his life is the most amazing feeling he ever felt. He wrapped his arms around her waist and tilted his head, deepening the kiss. Astrid's hands were around his neck as she pressed her body against his, feeling his heart beating fast.

The two of them pulled apart a few seconds later, smiling widely at each other.

Hiccup sighed in relief, "there will always be a Hiccup and Astrid," he said and Astird giggled.

"Always."
