This is Berk, it's a small Island in the northern sea. In the earlier centuries, it was the home of Vikings - tough men and women were living here in peace and harmony. The people of Berk all knew each other, and each of them knew the Chief of Berk. A man named Hagan Haddock. He was a strong man and the best Chief Berk ever had.

Years have passed and Berk has evolved. It's not that small village anymore, it's a very busy city. It's a huge import and export city and a well sailed haven. A lot has changed, everything's modern now. But there's one thing that hasn't changed, the tradition. Christmas is still called Snoggletog and the Haddocks are still the Chiefs of Berk. Well they're not called Chiefs anymore, they're called Mayors. There's only one family called Haddock in Berk, and lucky me,  I'm one of them. May I introduce myself, my name is Hiccup Haddock The Third, I'm the son of our current Mayor Stoick The Vast Haddock and his heir. My father is a busy man, he's leading our home town by example, not by bossing everyone around. That's why everyone says he's one of our best leaders. I'm currently 18 years old and about to graduate. I mean, it's not that bad to be the son of the Mayor, we've got a big house and I can do whatever I want to do, just because my dad isn't home to tell me to stop. Don't get me wrong I'm not a bad boy, I'm a screw up that hasn't had any friends back in elementary school and has been bullied, but things changed and now I have six awesome friends.

Speaking of six awesome friends "Earth to Hiccup? Hello, uhm guys, he's in his own world again," Snotlout - my cousin - said waving a hand in front of my face.

"Wait lemme fix that," Astrid Hofferson - my crush oh my Thor I wish she was my girlfriend - said and before I could do anything she punched my shoulder, hard.

"Ow, why would you do that?!" I exclaimed, rubbing the sore spot. Astrid smiled and the other guys started laughing, "so not funny," I said.

"You were stuck in your own dream world again so I helped you, you're welcome," Astrid said and I just rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, thank you for another bruise," I said and turned away.

Snotlout was getting impatient, "ugh, come on now, we really need to plan this guys," he said with an annoyed voice. If you wonder what he's talking about, let me explain. So I'm currently at Night Fury Cafe with my friends Astrid, Heather, Fishlegs, Snotlout and the twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut. We're planning to have a sleepover at my place this weekend and Snotlout wants to have the 'perfect' one.

"This has to be a great sleepover so could we please carry on?!" Snotlout said and everyone nodded. "So Hiccup, you're buying the pizza, Astrid you help Hiccup and..."

"Come on I'm able to get a few pizzas, Astrid doesn't need to help me." I said cutting him off mid sentence. Though I'd love to spend more time with her.

"Do NOT interrupt me!" He said and scowled at me.

I just rolled my eyes, "yes mom," I said making the others laugh.

"I'll buy some movies, Ruff, Tuff you buy some drinks." He said and the twins grinned, "NO alcohol please!" Snotlout added and the twins' grins faded. "Fishlegs and Heather you go get some snacks." They all nodded and rose from their seats. "We meet at Hiccup's place tomorrow at 8 pm," he said and the others nodded again and left the cafe.

I walked beside Astrid, "uh... Since we have to get the pizzas we need to meet up a little bit earlier," I started and she looked at me and smiled, "so how about you come to my place at uh, 6pm?" I asked and she nodded.

"Maybe I'll come a little bit earlier than that," she said and continued walking.

I couldn't help but smile as we continued walking to the parking lot together. "Want a ride home?" I asked her and got my keys out of my pocket, since I'm eighteen, I already have my drivers license.

Astrid nodded, "yeah why not." I unlocked my car and we hopped in, "I can't wait to turn eighteen tho." She said and I looked at her while starting the car.

"Why? Being eighteen doesn't change that much," I replied and she looked at me like I just told her that I hate her.

"I don't get you anyway, you are eighteen but you never go out late at night to go partying, if I was eighteen I would go partying every Saturday! And when I turn eighteen I can finally drive a car!" She said and I chuckled.

"I'm glad that there's still time until your eighteenth birthday, I really enjoy all of this," I said and gestured to her and the car. Astrid chuckled and smiled.

"Me too you dork," she said and swatted my shoulder. Ten minutes later I parked my car in front of her house she smiled and looked at me, "thank you for taking me home, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked and I nodded, "okay uhm," she said and before I could do anything she punched my shoulder again.

"Oww, what was that for?!" I said and looked at her.

Astrid just smirked, "that was for being such a dork," she started, "and that," she placed quick kiss on my cheek, "for everything else." She said and left the car, leaving me paralyzed. My heart was racing and I stared after her, watching her enter her house. After she entered I pulled up and drove home.

Saturday, 5 PM

I was sketching something in my sketch book as the doorbell rang, I went downstairs to answer the door. I opened it and it reveled a beautiful blonde woman - Astrid.
"Why hello there M'lady," I said and she chuckled. I called her that Nickname before and she didn't seem to mind it so I still call her M'lady.

"Hey," she answered and I led her inside. Astrid looked around and shrugged, "so what are we gonna do now?" She asked.

"Well, you came here one hour early so you decide," I replied and tried to start a conversation.
"Why are you here one hour early anyway?"

Astrid blushed, "well uhm," she started, "I guess I wanted to spend more time with.... you?" She said and felt something warm rising in my chest. SHE WANTED TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH ME! Thor tell me this is a dream.

I smiled, "well, that makes two of us," I said and she smiled too, she seemed delighted tho. "I have an idea. How about we take Toothless for a walk?" I asked and she nodded, "great I'll get him real quick." I told her and searched for my useless dog. I love him though, he was a stray before I took him in. He already lost a few teeth and I have no idea why. Well, he's my best friend and I couldn't live without him anymore. I went upstairs and found him sleeping on his blanked. I softly patted him and he started to stir. "Come on, get up," I said and he got up quickly and ran downstairs. I laughed and followed him. I saw him in front of Astrid while she patted him and smiled, she liked Toothless too. I got Toothless' leash and we exited my house and began to walk to the park.

Toothless jumped in front of me and Astrid as we continued walking to the park. "He's cute," Astrid said breaking the comfortable silence between the two of us. I looked at her and back at Toothless who was looking at me like he wanted to say something like 'just kiss her already!'

"You think? Yesterday he woke me up at 3 am just because he wanted food," I said and she laughed.

"That's where your dark circles come from?" She asked and I chuckled, "not really." I replied.

We continued walking for an hour. When we came back to my house we ordered 10 pizzas for our sleepover.
"It'll take them one and a half hour to make the pizzas," I said as I put my phone back into my pocket.

"What are we going to do in the meantime?" She asked and I shrugged. I really had no idea, I just hope it won't get awkward.

An idea hit me, "how about Netflix?" I asked and Astrid rose a brow.

"Netflix and chill?" She said and I blushed a little bit.

"Uhm, yeah.. I mean no, ah I don't know." I replied and she laughed, then nodded. "Great, let me get some popcorn and some drinks," I said and left my room to get the snacks. When I came back to my room, Astrid was already sitting on my sofa, with Toothless' head laying on her lap. I smiled and sat down next to her, placing the snacks between the two of us. I got the remote and turned on the TV and started Netflix, "so what do you want to watch?" I asked Astrid and she shrugged as response, I chuckled, "okay then," I said and started some random series I haven't watched yet.

After one and a half hour, I turned off the TV and got up, "I think the pizzas will be ready soon, we should go," I told her and Astrid got up, pushing Toothless' head carefully from her lap. Toothless gave her a betrayed look, saying that he didn't want her to stop patting him. Astrid laughed and patted him one last time, before following me downstairs.

We left my house and got into my car and I started driving to Pizza Hut, to get our pizzas. "Are you already taking driving lessons?" I asked Astrid and she nodded.

"Yeah," she said, "I'm almost done and I'm about to receive my Drivers License," she told me and I smiled.
Though I was a little bit sad because that means, when she turns eighteen she can drive home by herself and I really enjoyed our little talks during our journeys. Astrid seemed to notice that and lightly swatted my shoulder, "but I promise you can still be my chauffeur from time to time," she said and laughed.

I shook my head and smiled, "what an honor!"

We picked up the pizzas from Pizza Hut and drove back to my house. We set up everything for the sleepover and shortly after, the other guys arrived with their backpacks and some blankets. I let them in and they all patted Toothless once they saw him, then made their way into my room. I followed them and closed the door behind me. "OH Pizza!" Exclaimed Tuffnut and was about to grab a slice but Astrid stopped him.

"Not yet, we have to set up everything first, you guys brought the drinks, right?" She said and the twins nodded and placed the drinks on my desk. Fishlegs and Heather placed down the snacks and Snotlout placed the movies he bought too and I looked at them and rose a brow, then laughed.

"Uhm, Snot? You bought a Barbie movie?" I said and the others started laughing.

Snotlout just nodded, "I thought we'll need some variation between the movie genres," he said and we laughed.

We started watching the first movie,
Ant-Man, ate pizza and drank some of the soda the twins bought. Astrid sat next to me and placed her head on my shoulder, as we continued watching the movie. I looked down at her and smiled, then placed my arm around her, don't ask me why, I just did. And she didn't seem to mind, so we sat there, looking like the perfect couple, watching a movie.

Should I end it here to leave you without a Hiccstrid kiss again? Nah, I'll continue :')

After the movie ended I took my arm back and Astrid lifted her head from my shoulder, we smiled at each other and I swear we were about to lean in but the twins suggested to play truth or dare and ruined the moment.
"Okay I start," Tuffnut said, "Snotlout, truth or dare?" He asked my cousin and Snotlout chose dare, "punch Hiccup," Tuff said and I widened my eyes.

"Wow, wow, wow wai-" I was interrupted by Snotlout punching me in the stomach. I inhaled sharply and winced, "what is it with you guys punching me 24/7?" I asked and they laughed.

"It's fun," Ruffnut admitted and I shook my head. "Not really funny if you're in my position!" I replied and Ruff rolled her eyes, "stop pouting H," she said and I turned away.

"Okay," Snotlout started, "Heather, truth or dare," Snotlout asked the raven haired girl and Heather chose truth since she wanted to 'take it slow'. "Do you have a crush?" Snotlout asked and I shook my head, that's such a classic truth or dare question.

Heather nodded, "yeah I have a crush," she said and Snotlout flexed his muscles, "but it's not you Snot," Heather said and this time, it was Snotlouts turn to pout. We laughed at his reaction and Heather chose Astrid for the next round, "Astrid, truth or dare?" She asked and Astrid, who was sitting next to me, looked up like she was thinking.

"I choose dare," she said and Heather nodded.

What she said next surprised me, "I dare you, Astrid Hofferson, to kiss Hiccup on the lips, for at least five seconds," she said and Astrid's and my jaw dropped.

Astrid turned to me and I stared at her, not knowing what to do, Astrid turned away, "and what if I don't kiss him?" She asked Heather and Heather grinned.

"Then you have to kiss Snotlout," she replied and Astrid huffed. She then turned to me again and I just rose a brow.

"Okay then," she said and my heart skipped a beat as we started to lean in. I slowly closed my eyes and soon after, my lips met her soft lips. It was the best feeling ever, I tilted my head to the right and placed my hand on her cheek, deepening the kiss. Astrid placed her hand on my cheek too and her thumb slowly caressed my jawline, then she tilted her head to the left.

The task was to kiss for five seconds but I think we kissed a little bit too long since Snotlout interrupted us, "okay, okay, no need to suck each other's face!" He said and Astrid and I broke our kiss and smiled at each other.

Heather and the others glared at him for interrupting us. I think they knew that we loved each other and that the two of us were just too stupid to see it ourselves.
The rest of the evening was kind of awkward since I wanted to talk to Astrid privately to sort things out but we had to wait until the others were asleep, otherwise they might think we left to make out or something like that.

It was about 3 am when everyone was asleep, the twins were sleeping on a mattress, Snotlout was sleeping in his sleeping bag, Fishlegs slept on my sofa, Heather and Astrid slept in my bed, while I slept next to Snotlout with a blanket, which was by the way very uncomfortable, but Toothless kept me company.

After everyone was asleep, I got up and sneaked to my balcony. I was joined by Astrid a few minutes after. She walked next to me and closed the door behind her, so the other guys wouldn't overhear our conversation, which I assumed, was about to get very deep and kind of awkward.

"So..." Astrid started and trailed off, I looked at her and smiled. I didn't know what to say either so I just leaned at the balcony parapet and turned back to stare at the dark night sky, which was only lighted by a few stars and the moon. I heard Astrid sigh and turned back to her, then I reached out my hand and she took it. I pulled her to me and placed her in front of me, so we could look in each other's eyes. Astrid smiled, then opened her mouth to say something, "what are we Hiccup?" She said and that was the only question that I hadn't prepared an answer for.

I sighed and placed my hand on her cheek, "I don't know, what do you want us to be?" I asked and Astrid placed a hand on mine.

"Maybe... more than just friends?" She answered more as a question and I chuckled.

I slowly stroke her cheek with my hand and leaned close to her ear, "mhh," I breathed out, "that, that would be great," I said and she smiled. "So," I said and took a few paces back, "do I have to say one of those cheesy speeches now?" I asked and Astrid laughed then shook her head no. I smiled, "I'll do it anyway," I said and Astrid shook her head lightly while she continued laughing, "well, I haven't done that before uhm," I started, "so, Astrid Hofferson, you are a beautiful girl and I think that I am the luckiest man or boy, on earth if I can call you my girlfriend, even if it's not forever." I said and hoped that it would be forever, because I couldn't imagine anyone else to be part of my life except her. I walked back to her and took her hands in mine, "so Astrid, will you be my girlfriend?"
I asked her finally and she punched my shoulder, "ow?" I managed to say and she laughed.

"That's for being such a romantic and sweet dork," she said and then, she pressed a kiss on my lips, "and that's my answer," she said.

I scratched the back of my head, " I guess that means yes?" I said and Astrid laughed and nodded, I smiled widely, "great!" I said and grabbed her waist, then pressed another kiss on her lips, but when I wanted to break it, she didn't let me and tilted her head again, deepening the kiss. I tilted my head to the right and pulled her closer...

Well, let's just say, we really had a make out session on my balcony. And it was kind of heated too. This sleepover, really was one to remember...
