Crash II

You wanted part 2, you got it! :D

--------------------

Hiccup's been living with the Hoffersons for a week now. It's been a good week for him, the best he had since his father died.

Astrid and her family, yes, even her father, welcomed him in their home, taking good care of him. Hiccup hadn't felt this save in months, and he was really happy that the Hoffersons let him stay at their place for as longs as he needed.

It was a Wednesday, Hiccup just arrived at the Hofferson house after school, ringing the doorbell, waiting for Astrid's mother to open the door for him.
Astrid was still at school since she had volleyball practice every Wednesday.

Hiccup was surprised when instead of Ingrid Hofferson, Sven Hofferson opened the door for him, with a serious expression on his face.

Hiccup gulped, did he mess something up?

Sven Hofferson normally wasn't home when he arrived, he was always at some meetings for a new movie or whatever, which is why Hiccup was really surprised to see him.
"I-is everything okay, sir?" He asked as he slowly walked past Astrid's father who followed him after closing the door.

Sven gestured Hiccup to sit down on the sofa in the living room, Hiccup did so. He was a bit scared, is he gonna kick him out? Did he really mess up? Oh gods.
"I want you to do something for me, boy," Sven stated, taking a seat opposite of Hiccup.

Hiccup swallowed thickly, "w-what would that be?" He asked, his voice sounding a pitch higher than usual.

Astrid's father chuckled, "nothing bad, really," he said, sensing Hiccup's nervousness, "I just want you to keep an eye on my daughter," he told Hiccup.

After he said that, Hiccup sat up straight. This was about Astrid. He hated to admit it, but he did develop some kind of crush on Astrid. They got along really well at home and at school, even though Astrid was one of the popular people at school, she didn't treat the unpopular, like Hiccup, like trash. Instead, she's openly friends with the auburn haired boy.

She always helped him getting upstairs with his crutches, carried his backpack and sat with him at lunch. A lot of rumor about the two of them spread within a week, some of them saying they were a couple, others saying they were hooking up and other teenage stuff. Hiccup was a part of Astrid's tiny gang of friends now, too, which was amazing, since all of Astrid's friends were really nice people if you got to know them.

At home Hiccup and Astrid always hung out, they did their homework together, watched TV together, they often talked about their lives and school and Astrid made Hiccup feel comfortable about opening up. He told her a lot about his past, about his parents, about his whole life in particular. They were really, really close friends now. And all of that happened in just a week.

There has also been that one time where the two of them fell asleep on Astrid's bed together while watching TV. The next morning Hiccup woke up with an armful Astrid, and it was the best thing to wake up to in his opinion.

Yes, Hiccup and Astrid got really close within a week, and that's why Hiccup was eager to fulfill Sven Hofferson's request.

"Not that she isn't capable of making her own decisions and everything," he continued, "but I'm still worried when she goes to those parties."
Hiccup nodded in understanding. He's never been to one of those parties himself, simply because he got never invited, but Astrid had already told him about them, told him how rough they could get and that sometimes really horrible things happened at those parties.

"So, you, you want me to keep an eye on her while she's at those parties?" He asked, receiving a nod as answer, "yeah, I mean, yeah I'd totally keep an eye on her but," Hiccup hesitated, gesturing helplessly with his hands, "d-don't you think she's gonna be a little bit upset you sent me to keep an eye on her? I-I mean, she's pretty independent, she won't really like the idea of me stalking her on every party she goes to," Hiccup explained.

Sven nodded, looking up like he was thinking, "yeah, I guess you're right about that, but if you could just sneak into a party, Astrid wouldn't even have to know you're there, you know?" He said, looking straight into Hiccup's eyes. "I just want her to be safe."

Hiccup nodded, "I'll try my best, but I'm not exactly the kind of person to go to any parties, nor did I ever get invited to a party," he admitted, "but I'll keep an eye on Astrid for you, I promise."

Sven smiled and shook his hand, knowing his daughter was safe as long as Hiccup was there to protect her.

Friday

"Hey"

Hiccup, who was currently laying on his bed, looked up from his book, seeing Astrid standing at his door, smiling, "oh, hey," he said, sitting up. Astrid walked into his room, sitting down next to him.

"I'll uhm, I'll go to a party with Heather now," she said, placing a hand on top of his. It was something she did every now and then, touching his hand or arm, sometimes she also pecked his cheek. It made Hiccup's heart soar.

"Oh, okay," Hiccup said, not knowing how else to reply. Astrid's parents both weren't home for the weekend, they left early in the morning and won't be back until Sunday night or something like that.

He was disappointed though, he was looking forward to spending the whole weekend with Astrid, but parties still seemed to be more important to her than he is.
"When are you going to be back?" He asked her.

"Mhhh, I don't know, I was hoping you'd go with me," she said smirking at him.

Hiccup's mouth hung open at that, "w-what? You seriously want ME to go to a party with YOU?" He asked surprised. He surely didn't expect that.

Astrid nodded and smiled, "yeah, sure, why not? I mean i-if you don't want to that's totally fine-"

"No, that's not what I meant, I-I've just never been to a party, that's all," Hiccup said, interrupting Astrid mid sentence.

The blonde girl chuckled and squeezed his hand, "don't worry I'm sure you're a great dancer," she said, winking at him.

Hiccup snorted, "yeah, dancing with crutches, pure fun," he said, voice dripping with sarcasm.

Astrid laughed, he literally was the most sarcastic person she's ever met, he always had a comeback, always knew how to respond. She really liked that about him, that he didn't let what other people say define him.

"Well, we'd better get going then," she said, getting up.

"Wh-what now?" Hiccup asked, scrambling for his crutches.

Astrid looked at him, "no tomorrow, come on, let's go!" She said, taking his hand and helping him up, almost dragging him out of his room.

"Hey, hey, hey," he exclaimed, "take it easy on the cripple!"

That made Astrid stop dead in her tracks, she quickly turned around and looked Hiccup straight in the eye. She had to look up to do so, since he was several inches taller than her. She poked his chest with her finger, "you're not a cripple," she told him, her expression stern.

"Well, I can't walk stairs on my own, so I technically am," he retorted, making Astrid roll her eyes.

"No, if you were a cripple, then you won't even be able to walk on those crutches, okay? Stop putting yourself down like that Hiccup," she said, retreating her finger. After she said that, something in Hiccup's eyes changed, she didn't exactly know what it was, but she really wanted to find out.
The blonde girl then looked at him up and down, seeing that he was only wearing some worn out clothes; old joggers and an old white T-Shirt.
"You can't wear that to a party, by the way," she said, gesturing to his outfit.

Hiccup looked down at himself, shrugging, "well, I didn't have much of a chance to get changed since this blonde girl which goes by Astrid dragged me out of my room without giving time to even grab some socks," he said, looking down at his right foot, wiggling his toes, "..or sock."

Astrid rolled her eyes again, "well then go get changed, Heather is surely waiting for us already," she said, looking out of the window.

"W-what do you wear for parties though?"

"Uff, this is gonna be fun."

10 Minutes later the both of them were in Heathers car, on their way to the party. Astrid discovered that Hiccup didn't have much to wear, the only things he had were a few old jeans,
T-Shirts and three old sweaters. She mentally made a note to take him shopping one day.

Hiccup was now wearing a white T-Shirt, a red sweat-jacket and jeans. It was the best party outfit Astrid could think of. They were both seated in the back of the car, since Heather's brother Dagur was driving them to the party and Heather took the passenger seat.

They arrived at the party, loud music sounding through closed windows. Through the windows of the house you could see a lot of people dancing and drinking.

Hiccup shrunk back in his seat, he really hated parties. Too many people, too much noise. But Astrid's father asked him to keep an eye on her, and Astrid invited him so he didn't even have to sneak in. The only thing he had to do was grab some water, and watch Astrid until she wanted to go home.

The car pulled to a halt, and Heather and Astrid instantly jumped out. Astrid handed Hiccup his crutches and helped him get out of Dagur's big SUV.
"Have fun guys," the carrot haired man said, "and call me when I should pick you guys up," with those words, he drove off.

Astrid grabbed Hiccup's hand and tucked at it, "come on, let's get inside," she said, smiling at him.

Hiccup exhaled and followed her and Heather inside, seeing people all around. Most of them had some alcoholic drinks in their hands, others were dancing. Hiccup also saw a few people making out as he and his friends made their way through the party.
Hiccup felt really uncomfortable.

They then stopped at a less crowded spot in the house,"I'll get us something to drink, what do you guys want?" Heather asked, looking at Hiccup and Astrid.

"I- uh, water?" Hiccup said, though it was more of a question, Heather nodded, then looked at Astrid.

"The usual," was all the blonde girl said, Heather nodded and walked off.

Hiccup looked at Astrid, a puzzled expression on his face, "what's the usual?" He asked her.

"Uh, a little bit of Jägermeister and a lot of cola," Astrid told him, looking around.
She saw a few people eyeing the two of them suspiciously, especially Hiccup.

It was mostly girls that stared at him, and Astrid couldn't blame them for staring. Hiccup was really good looking in her opinion, with his bright green eyes, his shaggy auburn hair, the freckles and the light stubble that was growing along his sharp jaw.

He didn't seem to notice his attractiveness himself though, completely unaware of at least five girls staring at him. Astrid could already see their mouths watering at the sight of him.

And the worst thing was, she felt the same.

Hiccup was just... something else. He wasn't like all the other guys at school, his ego wasn't bigger than his brain, he wasn't overly confident and sure of himself. He didn't know how
good-looking and handsome he was.

Astrid was lucky enough to get to know him the past week, and she's never felt this drawn to a boy before. His personality, his jokes, the sarcasm, his beautiful eyes. Astrid liked everything about him and she wondered if he felt the same.

She didn't realize that she was zoned out, at least not until Hiccup waved a hand in front of her eyes, trying to snap her back to reality, "hey, you okay?" He asked, his brows furrowed in concern.

Gods, he was so cute.

"Oh? Yeah, yeah I'm fine, just a little bit zoned out," she said leaning slightly on him.

Hiccup chuckled, "yeah, I noticed," after a few seconds of silence he said, "so? What are we gonna do here now?"

Oh yeah, and Astrid also loved how innocent he was.

"Well, if you weren't still on crutches I'd dance with you," she said.

"So, now you're gonna dance without me?" He asked, looking down at her.

Astrid chuckled, "no, I can't do that," she told him.

Hiccup raised an eyebrow in confusion, "why not? Aren't you here to dance and have fun?"

"Well, I can't leave you alone since if I leave your side all those girls back there are going to swarm you and they WILL make you non-innocent offers," she explained, nodding her head to the girls that were still staring at Hiccup.

Once the girls noticed Hiccup was looking at them, one of them made a very suggestive gesture to Hiccup. Hiccup's mouth hung open, not a word coming out. After a few seconds, he finally managed to speak again, "y-yeah, it, it'd be better if you don't leave me," he said stepping a little bit closer to her.

Astrid laughed, "you're not up for it?" She asked him, desperately hoping for a definite NO as answer, which she got.

"Hell no, the only thing they want seems to be fun for one night and I'm not the type of guy that's up for this one night stuff," he explained, leaning on his crutches.

The blonde girl hummed, "so you're looking for something serious then, huh?" She asked, not just asking the question because she wanted to do smalltalk with him, but because she was very interested herself.
When Hiccup answered with a yes, she knew that she wanted the same thing as he did.

And if she was lucky, she might've already found the right guy for it.

The party went on and Heather eventually started talking to some random guy from another school. The guy seemed like one of those guys that just wanted fun for one night and then Heather would never see him again, but the raven haired girl didn't seem to mind.

Heather and the guy then made their way upstairs, Hiccup nudged Astrid slightly, "Heather's leaving," he told her, nodding his head to where the girl and the stranger were slowly disappearing upstairs.

Astrid looked into that direction and shrugged, "she's with a guy and apparently they're on their way to a private place to have some alone time."

Hiccup rolled his eyes slightly, "yeah, I know, but aren't you gonna go after her and stop her from getting laid by that dude?" He asked, looking at Astrid questioningly.

The blonde girl looked at him again and laughed, "no, you and I might not be the type of person to like that one-night-stuff, but I know Heather is," she explained to him. Hiccup's mouth formed an 'O' then he nodded.

"H-hey can we sit down somewhere? My foot and arms start to hurt," he said looking around, seeing only occupied seats and still a lot of people.

Astrid nodded, "sure," she then took his hand and led him through the crowd of people, all having fun and enjoying themselves. The blonde girl led him to a place away from all the noise and people, a small sofa in the far corner of the house as it seemed.

They sat down and Hiccup sighed, resting his crutches on the side of the sofa, leaning back on it. Astrid watched him and chuckled, seeing him relax now that he was away from the noise and the other teenagers. "You're not a party person, are you?" She asked him, also leaning back on the comfortable sofa.

"Not really, I don't like to be around that many people, especially not when I'm not able to run away from them," he joked, turning his head to look at her, a smile playing across his handsome features.

Astrid looked at him and raised a brow, "why'd you come with me then? You could've stayed at home and relax there," she said.

Hiccup chuckled nervously, looking away from her. He couldn't tell her her father wanted him tot keep an eye on her, she wouldn't like to hear that and would probably be upset with her father. Hiccup didn't want that so now he had to think of an excuse.
"Well, uhm, I-" great, now he wasn't even able to form a sentence anymore.

"You...?"

"I guess I wanted t-to spend more time with you?" He said, looking down at his feet, playing nervously with his hands. It was supposed to be an excuse but it was the truth. He really enjoyed spending time with her, but he would rather be at her home right now, watching some series or movie with her, instead of being at this stupid party.

He missed the relief that flashed through Astrid's eyes, unaware of the fact that she also wanted to spend more time with him. She took his right hand gently, smiling at him, "I have to admit that I also wanted to spend more time with you, Hiccup," she told him. Hiccup looked up at that.

"Really?"

Astrid laughed a little bit, "yes, otherwise I wouldn't have asked you if you wanted to go to this party with me," she said. Astrid looked around, still seeing no sign of her best friend Heather. Maybe she went home with the boy she met or something like that? Astrid let go of Hiccup's hand and fished her phone from her pocket, writing Heather a message that she and Hiccup would be going home now.

They would have to walk which may be a problem for Hiccup on his crutches, but to be honest, the only thing Astrid wanted right now was to lay on her bed, snuggled close to a specific auburn haired boy while watching some random movie.

Astrid suddenly got up, "where are you going?"

She turned around to Hiccup, handing him his crutches, "we'll be going home."

"What about Heather?"

"I texted her, she'll be fine," Astrid replied, helping Hiccup to get up, "we'll have to walk home, though," she said.

"As long as we get out of here," he said as they made their way back into the living room to reach the front door of the house. A few minutes later they were out on the street, walking home alongside each other. Hiccup grunted, "ugh, I'll have arms like Eret when we're back at home."

Astrid chuckled, "hopefully not, I like the lanky type more than the buff type," she said, making Hiccup smile.

"You might be one of the only girls out there that does."

20 Minutes later they were back at Astrid's house, both changed into their pajamas and ready to watch movies for the rest of the night. It was 1am right now, the both of them watching some random animate movie, laying together on Astrid's bed. They weren't laying close enough for Astrid though. Hiccup always kept some kind of safe distance from her, making it look like he doesn't want to disturb her private space or anything.

it kind of frustrated Astrid, since the only thing she wanted all evening was Hiccup to do just that. After a few more minutes Astrid huffed and decided to take matters into her own hands. She quickly scooted closer to the auburn haired boy, making him jump in surprise.

Astrid then leant her head on his shoulder and placed her left hand on his right upper leg. She heard Hiccup exhale shakily before he slowly put his right arm around her shoulder, pulling her even closer to him. Hiccup then gently leant his head on hers and closed his eyes, absorbing the warmth of her body so closely pressed to his.

His heart was beating fast and it felt like it was about to jump out of his chest, he hoped Astrid couldn't hear it. What he didn't know was that Astrid felt the exact same thing, her heart never beat that fast because of a boy before. It felt amazing for both of them.

They sat like that for a while, until Hiccup lifted his head again, looking down at the blonde girl that was snuggled into his side. He never even dreamed of getting this close to her, ever. And he also never dared to dream about what happened next.

Astrid also lifted her head and smiled at him. The blonde girl then leant up, brushing her lips against his for a brief moment. Both of them felt like lightning hit them, a hot spark racing through them.

Astrid leant up again, but this time, Hiccup also leant down, their lips meeting halfway. Their lips moved slowly with each other, sparks erupting from them.

Hiccup slowly unhooked his arm from Astrid and placed his left arm on her waist, positioning half of his upper body above her. Astrid's left hand found his cheek, stroking it slowly, tracing a finger along his sharp jaw, feeling the light stubble tickle her fingertips. Her hand then moved back to rest on his cheek where she slowly drew small circles with her thumb.

Tilting his head to the left a little bit, Hiccup deepened their kiss even further while also slowly caressing her waist with his hand.

It felt like they had kissed for hours when they slowly broke apart, both of them a little bit out of breath. They smiled at each other, Hiccup leaning in to kiss on her cheek. He then slowly removes his hand from her waist, putting it around her shoulder again.

Astrid let her head slowly drop down on his shoulder again, smiling, she felt Hiccup press a light kiss to her forehead. She scooted even closer to him then, not a centimeter of space left between their bodies.

She felt warm, but not just because of the body pressed close to her, and the arm securely draped around her, also because the spark from their kiss turned to a fire which was now burning brightly inside her heart.

And not just inside her heart, in his also.
