Chapter 3
To be fair, she wasn't that surprised at the dragons. She was just surprised at the amount of dragons. There's a difference.
At Camp they have learned to fight dragons, as in a few dragons since in their- world(?)dragons only came either as individuals or pairs. The reason being that they were very, very territorial over both their mates and their space.
The fact that they were quite violent creatures didn't help at all. At least the campers didn't have to deal with more than one fire-breathing, flying war machine at the same time.
She felt a slight pang of loneliness at the thought of home, and shook it away.
Nebula had never seen anything like this before. It was absolute chaos. Was this what the wars were like?
The people- or villagers ran around wildly carrying weapons that were crudely made out of iron, stone, and wood. Some of them were carrying torches or passing weapons to others.
Meanwhile the dragons- which were barely visible in the night sky, trailing flames from their mouths- were swooping down grabbing sheep, Vikings and weapons and setting fire to practically everything. What caught her eyes were the fire raining down from everywhere.
The fires shone out brightly from the darkness of the night as a Viking threw down a torch onto a much bigger torch. It raised up into the sky to reveal hundreds of flapping dragons crisscrossing across the sky. You could barely see the stars or the moon. Oh, well, my hopes for a bit of stargazing are now... gone!
Nebula's eyes widened at the sight.
Casting her eyes down to the ground, she spotted a few lone teenage Vikings staying very close together. They were carrying buckets, and dragging behind them was apparently a barrel on wheels. Full of water, she assumed, as they filled their buckets up. Yup, definitely full of water.
They spread out, somehow managing to not get hit by the various fireballs, weapons and- what were those string like things?
They were ensnaring dragons by the head, tail and every body part they could reach. Nebula winced as someone's string-thing caught a chubby dragon by its legs.
That's useful. She ducked as a redhead with a long, long beard looked to the skies with grim green eyes. That was the color of the portal! she realized, peering over the various greenery tinged with reddish-orange from the fires. Nebula watched as the person's shoulder pads caught on fire. He brushed it off as if it was nothing and turned to the person on his left.
She tried to read their lips to no avail.
As she cast her eyes back down, she saw those teens carrying buckets again and took her time to count them.
Five teens, three boys, two girls. Hmm.
Well, she decided, they do seem pretty aggressive. Especially that girl, she's... radiating more malice than the dragons are.
That's an understatement.
Should she go down and try ask for help? She needed actual food apart from wild berries and wild fruits. They weren't growing well, and one of her plants died just yesterday. She wasn't exactly a Demeter kid.
But what if they attacked me? She was an accomplished fighter skilled with the sword, but it doesn't mean she can just march into a village full of angry Vikings with a confident smile.
No, she needed to be crafty.
Oh. She didn't need to be a Demeter kid now. This plan is crazy.
Good thing she was a Hecate kid.

Amy opened her eyes. Everything was blurry.
"This is the twenty-third time that's happened today." she heard someone grumble.
"Hannah?" Amy asked groggily. A picture of Nebula was stuck in her many, many visions. "Where am I?"
Hannah huffed unamusedly (apparently that isn't a word? I've been using it for ages and didn't even realize). "Again?"
"Like clockwork." America said unhappily, flipping her sheet of light-brown hair from her eyes as she regained her vision yet again. "She has yet to meet Hiccup Haddock."
"I don't understand why you're so fixated on this particular universe, y'know," The other tapped one of the holographic screens and typed in a 21-digit number from memory.

Hannah scanned the overview throughly, as Amy sighed and got up. "Despite that being one of the 'important visions' of yours, you still haven't Seen the outcome?"
Amy adjusted her glasses defiantly. "Yes."
Hannah muttered something under her breath that Amy didn't catch, and she grinned.
"Did I finally look like Professor McGonagall or what?"
