💛 Chapter 9: Learning More 💛

~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~
It had been days since that whole incident.
I hadn't seen Bill since he brought me back home, and I didn't really bother summoning him either, I needed the privacy.
Dipper and Mabel had ran back home to tell Stan and Ford, but they calmed down when they saw I was already here, asking what had happened.
Obviously I didn't tell them about Bill saving me from falling into a cliff, so I just said I outran the gnomes.
They didn't seem to believe me, probably from having tried it before.
I had no idea this place could be so dangerous!!
"Oh it's more than that." I tensed up at the new voice, shifting over to see the floating golden haired man near my bed. "Gravity Falls has all sorts of things, you should've done your research."
I rolled my eyes. "I did, almost every website I saw said it was a ghost town."
"It is, literally!" An innocent grin grew on his face as he spoke, then pointed to the wall beside me. "I'm fact, there's a ghost right next to you!"
"What?!?" I quickly flinched away, scooting to the other end of my bed.
He only began to laugh, holding his sides as he did, making me glare at him. "I'm just kidding, kid, ghost tend to stay as far away from the shack."
I growled in anger. "You're a dick."
"Whoa, profanity, (f/g)." He crosses his legs, as if sitting on the air.
I lied back down on my bed. "And stop calling me that. I have a name."
"Right, yes, (y/n) (m/n) Pines."
Turning to him once more, I raised an eyebrow. He only sighed, giving me an 'I've told you before' look. "I'm an all knowing demon, I know basically everything about you."
"You do not."
"I know Chase Hutson is the only reason you were able to go on this trip."
Chase..
I should probably call him soon, I haven't talked to him since I got here, I need to catch him up on- ... everything.
Thinking for a while, I finally sat up, crossing my arms with a serious expression. "Alright, 'All Knowing Demon' Billy-"
"Bill, it's Bill, is that really so hard to get?!"
"I know it's Bill, I just like pissing you off." I said with a snicker, then cleared my throat. "All Knowing Demon Bill, what is something that no human knows?"
"There's a one billion - three hundred million - ten thousand - eight hundred and sixty nine planets in the whole universe." He stayed quiet for a second, then snickered. "Heh, sixty nine.."
"Wait, seriously?!"
"What, sixty nine jokes are funny!"
"Not that, idiot, the planet things!"
"Oh. Yeah, that's true, and more will be created." He took off his top hat, sticking his hand inside it and pulling out what seemed to be a room sized hologram of space!
It was honestly really beautiful..!
"Whoa..!!"
He pointed at a tiny white spot beside me. "This right here? That's your galaxy, the Milky Way. One of the smallest, and most boring if you ask me."
I looked around the room, it was all so detailed, so colorful..!
Walking over to a larger blue spot, I turned to Bill. "What about this?"
He shrunk to a miniature size, floating over and sitting on my shoulder. "In English, it would translate to Glowing Crystizomia."
"Crystizomia?"
"It's the strongest element in their galaxy, fifty times stronger than your diamonds."
"Their?"
He laughed a bit. "Yes their, you didn't think humans were the only living creatures in this whole void of existence, did you?"
"So aliens are real?"
"Aliens is a racist term in most galaxies."
"Oh, sorry.." I looked down at him as he floated over to be in front of me. "So you've been to all of these places?"
"More than once."
"What sort of creatures have you met?"
"Where could I ever start! I've met you humans, Gordos, Livenings, Fortenos, Dirtorians, Magnimiums, Bubujize-"
I raised my arms, signaling him to stop. "Okay okay, I get it."
"Those are some the ones that share similar features as humans, but there are so many more that look or act nothing like you guys." He said as he flew over to a yellowish spot in the room. "Like the creatures from the Golden River galaxy, they kinda look like headless lions with three legs."
"That sounds cool!"
He turned into a creature I had never seen before, but suited the description he had given me, the headless lion thing.
"Not as cool."
He let out a laugh before turning back to his human form. "Not as pleasing to your earthling eyes, huh?"
I rolled my eyes, ignoring the small smile that had grown on my face before continuing to look at all the different things in the room. "Wow, your life must be so amazing..!"
Instead of the usual cocky replies he'd give, he simply shrugged, his expression falling a bit. "It used to be."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, when you have the gift of immortality, you try all sorts of things and do everything you possibly can. But.. after a while, it all just becomes dull, and boring.."
He floated over to my bed, sitting on the edge. "There's also the side effect of eventually losing every mortal creature you meet.. Everything everyone in this whole universe share is that they're somehow created, they live their life, then like everything, they die.."
Something ached in my chest when I turned to him. He stayed down at his hands with a distant look in his eyes. It was clear he had lost someone important to him at one point.
To be honest, the thought of being immortal had always been a bad one to me, for exactly those reasons. Seeing everyone around you grow old and die, it must be a horrible feeling..
"I'm sorry you've had to go through that.."
He crossed his arms, giving a shrug. "Eh, it's fine.. It's just the price I have to pay."
Seeing him like this, I could actually see the humanity in him.
Maybe he wasn't as annoying as I originally thought..
Thanks for reading!!! Till next time!!!
