It's a bit surprising how time can go by, how sometimes it's as fast as a second, and sometimes it feels like an eternity.

A whole year had passed by since the incident in Gravity Falls, and for me, it was longer than an eternity.. The first few months, I spent mourning the latest lost in my life, someone who I misjudged at the start, someone who I grew to care for..

And someone who I miss.. so much..

The few months after, I tried to move on. I tried to continue with my life, made new friends, and although I kept being told I should start dating, I still have him in my head..

How he said he'd come back to me, someday..

Cerberus has made things a little easier, he always tries to cheer me up in his cute little dog ways, and I was a bit relieved I could talk about it with my siblings.

Summer recently started up, and I was given a break to visit my family once again. As I drove through the town I had learned to care for, memories of last year started coming back to me.

Memories of all the chaos..

All the monsters..

And of course... of Bill...

There was a small stab of pain in my chest as I thought of him, biting my lip a little to keep myself in focus. I know he's done a lot of bad things, but deep down inside, he'd simply someone who wanted to be cared for..

And then he just.. risked his life for us..

Well, maybe not his life, he's said many times he can't die, so maybe his freedom..?

Either way, he was gone from my life..

Finally reaching the Mystery Shack, I parked in front and stepped out of my car, taking in a deep breath. Forest air always feels the cleanest.

"(y/n)!!!" Before I was able to turned, I was tackled by Mabel in a big bear hug, making me laugh. "You're here!!"

"Yeah, sorry for the wait."

Dipper then ran outside. "Could you for once greet her like a normal person?"

"Nope!" She pulled away, grabbing my wrist and starting to lead me inside. "C'mon, we've all been waiting for you!"

But there was something I want to check..

Deep in the distance of the forest, something caught my eye, something I wanted to see for myself. I don't know why, but I had a feeling that it was important.

"Wait.. I'd like to see something first.."

Both of them looked to the forest, and I think they understood what I meant, giving me a nod before walking back inside.

I hadn't spent much time in the forest, maybe around ten minutes, but I still got a little lost around her. It was normal, I barely spent any time in this town, and this forest.

But after a little while of walking, I found a place that was familiar to me..

The clearing in the forest, with trees all around it, and an empty space. The evening sunlight lit up the area perfectly, the leaves gracefully falling around the place.

But something was missing..

The statue..

The statue I had first found when I was here, of him.. The triangle with the bow tie, and the cane, and the tiny top hat on his head.

I hadn't even realized the memories brought tears to my eyes until I felt a few drip down my cheeks, and eventually hit the ground. However, once it did, a strange feeling surrounded the place, making me look back up, my eyes widening at a sight.

The statue that was nowhere in sight was slowly forming in front of me, making me freeze in place.

Was this..

W-was he..?

Once the statue completely formed, I stared at it for a long while, feeling my hands starting to tremble.

And then, without thinking, I shook his hand, hoping for what happened when we met.

I waited.

And waited..

... and waited...

I felt a cold rush go through me as my hand lit up in harmless blue flames, quickly pulling it back as the statue began to glow a soft yellow. It didn't take long until he was now standing in front of me, just like I remembered..

His eyes slowly opened, and soon widened as they landed on me.

"... (y/n)..?"

I couldn't stop myself from wrapping him in a tight embrace. Every feeling that had taken over me last year all came flooding back to me as I felt his familiar warmth.

"Y- You're here, you're back!!"

"Heh, sorry for the wait.." He wrapped his arms around me, resting his head on my own as I sobbed into his chest, but a smile on my face.

"I-I've missed you... so s-so much..."

"I missed you too, (f/g).."

We stayed in each other's arms for what felt like a long time, but I didn't regret any of it..

I had him back, after so long..

And I never wanted to let go..

"W-where were you anyways..?"

"Back in the stone prison.. But it wasn't so bad, at least I had good memories to keep me company this time.."

"I'm just glad you're back.."

He gently picked up bridal style, my cheeks hearing up as he placed his top hat on my head. "That makes two of us.."

Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pressed my lips against his, and he didn't hesitate to kiss me back. Though it only lasted for a little while, I didn't care, I was just to happy he was back with me..

"C'mon, you came here to relax, we should take you home.."

"Will you stay with me..?"

"Forever and always.."

I smiled at his words, letting him place a kiss on my forehead before taking me back home..

Back then, my life had been a rollercoaster of emotions and pure chaos at some points. But now looking back? Meeting Bill was the best thing to ever happened to me..

I love him, I always will.. no matter what..

"Heh, I love you too, (f/g).."

"O-oh, right, forgot about that.."

I am thinking of making a sequel, but that isn't set in stone yet, I'd still need to think of the full story.
