None of them went inside the shack, not yet. There was still business to be done. They couldn't just leave the town like this, they had to fix it somehow.

Dipper tapped his chin in thought. "But how can we return everything to normal? We don't have a mind erasing machine anymore, and I don't want to use such a thing again."

"Mr. Triangle, you brought all this here, do you know what we can do to fix?" Mabel tilted her head in question.

However, the demon she spoke to was awfully quiet, his gaze distant, as if he were not even present. (y/n) gently cupped his cheek, which brought him back to reality. "You okay, Bill..?"

"Yeah, I.." He cleared his throat and stood up straight, but his eyes still didn't meet hers. "I know how we can fix all this."

"How..?"

Lifting his hands a little, a strange device, almost like a futuristic gun, floated on his palms. "You have to make me disappear."

Her eyes widened at his words, immediately taking a step back. "What?! No!! I'm not doing that!!"

"(y/n)-"

"There has to be another way!!"

"The only way is for me to vanish, that way it'll reverse all that I've done."

"No, I- I refuse!! I'm not gonna lose you again!!!"

Bill was stunned by her words, staring at her as tears already started to form in her eyes. Of course he didn't want to be sent to another eternal statue prison, especially now that someone actually cared for him, but what choice did he have..?

He bit his lip, gently taking (y/n)'s hand and placing the gun on her palm. "I'm sorry, (f/g).. But you have to do this.."

"P-please, no, there- there has to be s-something else we can d- do..!!" Tears were already streaming down her cheeks, trying not to choke on her sobs as she spoke. Her hands trembled as she gripped the gun, desperately trying to find another way.

But to her surprise, the tall man cupped her cheek, wiping away a few tears with his thumb, and placed a kiss on her head, mumbling softly. "I'm really sorry..."

With another sob, she threw her arms around him in a tight embrace, her face buried into his chest as she cried, gripping the back of his jacket for dear life, as if he could slip through her fingers at any moment.

They stayed in each other's arms for a long while, her siblings watching the scene as they tried not to cry themselves.

Soon enough, Bill pulled away, patting his thigh softly. At the action, there was a small spark beside him, and out came Cerby in his usual puppy spirit. He gently picked up the pup, offering it to her. "Here, he'll keep you company while I'm away.."

"W-while you're away..?"

He nodded, his expression serious. "I will try my best to come back to you, (y/n).. I swear it.."

She stared at him for a little while, sniffing as she gently placed the demon dog back down, and pointed the gun at him. The gun itself trembled beyond belief, even if she tried to keep her hands steady, she just couldn't stop herself.

Lifting his arms a little, Bill closed his eyes, and so did (y/n) as she looked away, biting her lip, and eventually pulling the trigger.

An electric noise was heard through the air, and when she looked over, she saw that the demon was surrounded by a strange gray glow, sparks dancing around him as the winds picked up.

He then walked over to be in front of her, moving some of her hair behind her ear. "Thank you.. for everything.. I haven't found true happiness like this in a very, very long time.."

She didn't reply, but quickly grabbing his face and pressing her lips against his. He didn't hesitate to kiss her back, the kiss only lasting a few seconds.

Because he was already disappearing..

(y/n)'s eyes widened at the sight, tightly holding his hands. However, he simply gave her a warm smile.

"I love you, (y/n).."

And just like that...

He was gone...

As soon as he disappeared, everything went back to normal, just as he said. The skies were blue, the grass was green, and although most building were still destroyed, the people were all alive and well.

Her legs finally caved in after ten seconds of realizing, falling on her knees and burying her face in her hands as her loud sobs covered the whole area. The twins quickly rushed, hugging her for comfort, and Cerberus snuggled against her stomach.

But it just wasn't enough to ease the pain..

It was as if a hole in her chest had been completely cut off, leaving nothing but a feeling of emptiness inside, emptiness and agony.

She just wanted him back...

"P-please... come back...!!!"
