💛 Chapter 25: The Search Party 💛

~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~
After casting a few spells on the Pines twins, they all floated up to the Fearamid. They landed at the door, walking inside as loud music boomed throughout the entire place.
Many demons of many kinds danced the apocalypse away, laughing and smile as if they were young adults in their first college party, having the time of their lives.
However, at the snap of Bill's fingers, the music stopped, making everyone look at him in shock. "Party's over, everyone out."
All the demons grew confused, glancing at each other as if debating whether or not he was being serious. When no one moved, Bill's glare only sharpened. "I said out, now!!"
They all gasped at his reaction, pure silence invading the room. The twins hid behind the overly tall man, afraid of whatever could happen to them.
Instead of following the demon's orders, they all grew angry at his sudden change of tone, one of them speaking up. "Sir, have you started to regret your own plan?"
"Maybe I just have better things to do, now leave my home."
But none of them listened, they only got angrier.
That's when a golden chain suddenly tied itself to Bill's wrist, pulling him down to his knees as his eyes widened in surprise. The twins screamed and jumped back, only for more chains to wrap around them, unable to move a limb. With a deadly glare, Bill looked at the other demons, who only laughed at the sight. One snapped its fingers, and the chains dragged the three away as they yelled. "Let the party continue!!"
Dropped in their own separate cells, Mabel immediately began to tug and punch the iron bars in anger, yelling at the top of her lungs for someone to set them free.
On the other hand, Dipper looked at Bill with confusion. "Aren't you suppose to be all powerful?! How could you get caught so easily?!"
There was no reply, only more of Mabel's yells, and he leaned closer. "Bill!!"
This time, there was a faint chuckle, and as seconds passed by, it grew louder and louder, now a confident cackle as the demon stood up, shooting them a cocky smirk. "You really thought some chain would take me down?"
Dipper only glared. "Well we're here for a reason, aren't we?!"
"Word of the wise, kid." Bill snapped his fingers, the chains and iron bars that trapped them in place disappearing. "If you wanna take down an enemy, give them a false sense of security, let them think they have the upper hand."
Mabel hopped out with a smile. "That's some good advice, Mr. Dorito!"
"I can still turn your skin inside out, pipsqueak, don't test me." He shot her a glare, making her squeak in surprise as she hid behind her brother. Bill then looked around. "Now, she must be down here somewhere."
"Rescue mission!!" Mabel cheered, raising her arms.
The demon flicked his wrist, a few weapons and some armor appearing on both siblings, making them look down in surprise. "We'll split up, it'll be faster that way. These should help you out incase you bump into one of the party freaks."
"Thank you, we won't let you down!" Mabel gave a salute, then ran off down one hallway.
Bill fixed his sleeves a bit, then noticed Dipper still staring up at him with a serious expression, making him raise an eyebrow.
"What now, Pinetree?"
"You really care about (y/n), huh..?"
He stayed quiet for a bit, then nodded. "Yeah.. She's the only mortal who didn't care about hat I was.."
A small smile grew on the young boy's face. "Maybe I was wrong about you, Cipher.." And left to fond his sister.
The blonde demon stood in place for a while, thinking of his words. He really had gone soft, he wasn't even half of the power-hungry monster that zoomed through space, not at all. But that was a good thing..!
As a smile grew on his face, he began to roam the halls, searching for the one he had grown to care about so dearly.
Praying that he wasn't too late..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fear filled his heart as he walked down the maze of a floor, turning every corner, checking every cell.

But to no good.

There was no sign of his friend, as if she was never here. Maybe she was never captured? But if so, where could she be? Were his senses wrong, had she already left the town? Had he.. lost her forever..?

He gripped his shoulders at the thought, tears had been stinging his eyes for the past ten minutes, and he'd always blink them back. It was still not something he was used to, and being honest, he didn't really want to get used to them, they were useless anyways.

However, just as he was already losing his hope, he felt a small tug in his heart, making him glance back up. He gripped his sleeves even tighter, looking around to whatever this sudden new feeling meant. Was it a spell? A new potion?

It wasn't unfamiliar, but could he still trust it..?

... Yeah.

This was a good thing, he could feel it.

So he followed it down a few more halls, and eventually noticed something that made his eyes grow wide.

Lying down on the floor of one of the dungeon cells was (y/n), her back facing him as she tightly hugged herself, shivering at the cold environment, teeth jittering, skin an unhealthy pale.

"(y/n)..?!"

Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
