💛 Chapter 12: A Demon's Past 💛

~~~~~~~~~Third Person POV~~~~~~~~~
From a simple human's perspective, planet Earth is huge. Ocean, continents with tons and tons of countries, and billions of people, trillions of wildlife and nature. It's beautiful, it's grand, it's home.
But for a demon?
Small.
Just a miniature rock that floats in space, so tiny in comparison to other places, so dull, so boring.
When you've been everywhere, seen everything, met everyone, life loses its meaning. There's nothing exciting anymore, nothing to look forward to.
That was what he felt, flying around the universe with no destination, hoping, praying that there will be something that grabs his attention.
That's when he first learned about Earth.
The year was 1346. At least, that's what these earthlings said it was. People dressed very differently, spoke very differently, behaved like savages. If you didn't agree with society's standards, you'd get your head cut off, simple as that.
It was a small minded world, sure, but it grabbed his attention. So he decided to spend a little while among them.
What he didn't expect was to meet her...
Isabella Bennett, a simple peasant, the daughter of a blacksmith. Her skin was light and looked like porcelain, her beautiful golden locks reached her shoulders, her eyes resembled shining diamonds, and the freckles above her nose only made her stand out even more.
Needless to say, she was beautiful...
He had never felt this way, about anyone, about anything, it was.. brand new..!
The warm feeling in his chest, the heat on his face, how he always smiled at the sight of her. He wanted to stay with her.
So he did.
According to Isabella, she was supposed to get married to a stranger by next week. She was already nineteen, she had to be married!
However, Bill didn't know what that was, not the slightest clue about it.
When she told him about it, he wondered: what he felt towards this mere mortal, could it really be... love...?
But... why...?
Why now? Why her?
He didn't know. But he didn't care.
He was... happy...!
Finally, after so many centuries! He was genuinely happy!
That week was the best week he had ever experienced in his entire life, and because he had chosen to seem like a wealthy human, she was allowed to marry him instead, and she had agreed!
Things couldn't possibly be any better!
He was so comfortable with Isabella, he could trust her, he could tell her anything.
...
But...
No one could ever love a demon...
Isabella proved it the day before their wedding...
"WITCH!!! You're a witch!!!"
"What? That's not what-"
"Get away from me!!! The wedding's off!!!"
"W-What?! B- but I- I don't understand, I'm still the same guy you fell in love with!"
"Love?!? You're a monster!!! How could I ever love someone like you?!?
I NEVER WANNA SEE YOU AGAIN!!!"
...
Those words stung...
But he did as told.
After causing a little disaster known as the Plague which killed a huge portion of the population, nothing special.
He was enraged, humans were pathetic little creatures with such closed minds. He never wanted to harm them, he had no intentions to, he just wanted so learn new things.
But she broke his heart, even demons have feelings, you know?
Not that they care, mortals don't care, their lives are so short, they don't care about how they impact others. Useless, pathetic, weak. And they made him feel that way.
So, he was taught something after all.
He was taught to never let his guard down, he was taught to destroy others before they even choose to destroy him.
All he needed was some time to rebuild himself.
And he came back to earth around the 1980s, where he met a strange man who went by the name of Stanford Pines; a peculiar fellow who was casted aside from society simply for having an extra finger.
A perfect little host for him to start his perfect plan.
Well, his plans were brought down by no less than two twelve year olds related to that same main, his great niece and nephew.
How lOvElY...
He hated them. He hated the Pines Twins, he hated Stanford, he hated Isabella, he hated every single human that had ever been born on this shit of a planet!!!
He wanted it to die, he wanted it to crumble down!!!
That's what he wanted, that's all he's ever wanted, all he-!!!
"Bill?"
He jumped a bit at his name, turning around to see (y/n) peeking her head from the trapdoor on the roof. "You okay?"
"Of course I am!" He floated over with his usual smile. "How cute of you to worry about me though, little (f/g)."
"Stop calling me that, Cipher."
He stuck his tongue out to her in a playful manner, to which she rolled her eyes, though a tiny smile still on her face. "Anyways, Cerby's getting kinda hyper, and it's kinda scaring me."
"I'll be there in a sec!"
She nodded at his reply and climbed back down to her room. Bill's expression quickly grew serious when she left, cold.
That whole thing about him being forced to be her demon servant? A lie.
As if he'd ever serve anyone!
He just wanted to gain her trust, she was a Pines after all. Everyone who destroys his plans, anyone who even dares to try and hurt him again?
Well, that just won't end well for them...
Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
❤️❤️❤️
