Once in his arms, a yellow glow began to take over us, forcing me to close them out of fear. I tightly gripped his tux, afraid of whatever or wherever he wanted show or take me.

He was still more of a stranger to me, God knows what he actually wants!

There were a few seconds of cold and silence, until a warm atmosphere suddenly filled the area. I didn't pull away though, I was too scared. It could be a fire pit, a cave of cockroaches, or- ... I don't know, anything!

Bill let out a snicker, then spoke in a soft tone. "You can open your eyes now.."

I blinked a few times, adjusting to the new lighting, before my eyes widened at the sight.

The place was absolutely beautiful...!

He placed me down as I looked around, amazed by the place. I had expected monsters, and I got this instead! It was a cave, that much I knew; there were shining crystals all over the walls, ceiling, floor, everywhere! With so many different colors!

Though it could still be a trick, an illusion..

I'll still keep my guard up, just incase...

"Where are we..?"

"The Crystal Caverns, a bunch of large underground tunnels filled with every gemstone the Earth contains. And even a few from other planets that got stuck here centuries ago."

"It's amazing..!!"

"Wanna know something?"

I turned to him, raising an eyebrow. He had a proud grin on his face. "This tunnel is right under the Mystery Shack. Well, hundreds of feet underground, but yeah."

"How many people know about this place?"

"That are still alive? No one."

I turned to him, slightly panicked. He then broke into laughter, probably reading my thoughts. "As in, the people who did know passed away in general, not because of this place."

"O-oh, okay.."

"Your face was priceless though."

"Shut up." I crossed my arms, feeling my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

My blood soon turned cold at the sound of tiny feet running around the stone floor, my shoulders tensing up. The sound soon stopped as I looked around in worry. "Uh.."

I turned at the sound of growling, backing away before picking up a small rock for self defense. Cuz a rock would totally help in situation.

Tightening my grip on the rock, I stayed still and quiet, when Bill suddenly stood in front of me. "Cerby!!"

At the mention of the name, I heard barking, then something tackled Bill back to fall on the ground. A small pup, black with brown patches and perked up ears, its tail a little wagging nub.

There was just one problem.

It had three heads!!!

Bill smiled widely as the pup- or pups? Pup heads licked his face joyfully, standing up with them in his arms. "I missed you!!"

"Um..?!"

"Oh, (f/g), this is Cerberus, my dog."

"Your three headed dog?!"

"Yeah, haven't you read anything about Greek Mythology? This is Cerberus Jr, descendant of Cerberus the First who belonged to the one and only Hades." He laughed a bit. "I should visit him soon."

I dropped the small rock with a sigh. "So he's harmless?"

"Well, depends on the occasion."

The three heads looked over at me; one tilted its head in curiosity, another growled at me, and the other didn't really seem to be paying attention.

Bill scratched the head on the right. "This one's Happy, he's the peaceful one, barely ever misbehaves."

Happy barked, smiling at me before Bill scratched behind the middle head's ear. "This one's Snappy, the toughest of the bunch. Be careful around him, he won't be afraid to bite off your finger."

Snappy growled, making me back away a bit. "Noticed.."

He then pet the head on the left. "And this one's Derpy. He usually just does his own weird things, always getting distracted."

"Do they live down here?"

"No, Cerby usually runs around dimensions doing whatever he pleases. But he'll always come back to me after a while." He nuzzled his dog's heads. "Isn't that right, buddy?"

Happy licked his nose, making him laugh. Seeing Bill like this, sort of being a fatherly figure? It was honestly really sweet..

"So, wait, are Greek gods real?"

"They are."

"That's the religion that exists?"

"All religions exists." He shrugged before patting my head. "But I won't get into it, you humans have such fragile minds."

I smacked his hand away. "Stop that."

He chuckled, placing Cerberus down. "So, What do you think of Gravity Falls now?"

I paused before looking around once more. "It.. also has its beauty."

"Mhm."

Crossing my arms, I let out a sigh, a small smile on my face. "Alright, I'll give it another chance.."

"Atta girl, (f/g)!"

"(y/n)."

"Yeah yeah." I rolled my eyes at his reply, before he offered his hand to me. "Anyways, you ready to head back home?"

I nodded, placing my hand in his. He picked me back up, making me let out a small squeak in surprise, and we were back in my room after a few seconds. Even Cerberus was already lying down on my bed when Bill placed me down.

Happy nudged my hand, and I let out a small giggle as I pet his heads, making him bark happily.

"... Thanks, Cipher.."

He tilted his head. "For what?"

"Giving me a reason to stay in this odd town for a little longer." I turned to him with a smile. "I get the feeling I might like it here after all."

He stared at me for a while, then smiled back. "No problem, kid."
