HOW TO SURVIVE A MOSQUITOE BITE!!!⚠️

Prevention: Yeah, go on laugh, but just so you know mosquitoes are the deadliest animals on the earth killing 1,000,000 people each year worldwide. Humans coming in at a close second with 475,000 killed each year. Well, mosquito bites are annoying at the best of times it can be fatal at the worst.

(1) Wear bug spray. This will keep the mosquitoes away.

(2) Get rid of any shallow water. Mosquitoes will leg eggs in here and we don't want more of the blood-sucking twerps.

(3) Fabrics that are thick, tightly woven, or constructed with overlapping layers are difficult for mosquitoes to bite through. Make such you are wearing long sleeves shirts and pants.

(4) Werh a mosquito's clock. This will keep the bugs off of you.

(5) Avoid scented products. This can be tough, but it's definitely worth a try if mosquitoes are terrible in your area. Any scented perfume, lotion, or soap could potentially attract mosquitoes.

(6) Sleep under a mosquito net. Whether you're setting out for a camping trip or staying somewhere with screens or unsealed cracks, sleeping under one of these is a good call.

(7) Mosquitoes are turned off by several natural scents: cinnamon, peppermint, cedar, citronella, lemongrass, patchouli, catnip, lavender, and more. Find a favorite, and use it when you want to spend time outside.

(8) Eat garlic. Mosquitoes have the smell. If you eat enough of it your sweet will start to smell like garlic. If you don't want to eat a lot of garlic you can use garlic oil on your skin to keep the mosquitoes off you.

(9) Stay indoors at night when they will be out.

(10) Swat them away.

Habit: Almost everywhere.

(1) In shallow pounds or any shallow water.

(2) In forests and tall grass.

(3) Near people. Isn't that just fricken fantastic?!

Signs and symptoms:

(1) A red itchy bump.

First aid: You will have to use this at least once in your life.

(1) Wash the area with soap and water.

(2) Apply an ice pack for 10 minutes to reduce swelling and itching. Reapply ice pack as needed.

(3) Apply a mixture of baking soda and water, which can help reduce the itch response.

(4) Use an over-the-counter anti-itch or antihistamine cream to help relieve itching. Follow the product label directions.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following after a bite:

(5) Throat swelling.

(6) Trouble breathing.

(7) Wheezing.

(8) Hives.

(9)Nausea and vomiting.

(10) Lethargy.

Don'ts: I don't really have anything to say, but don't.

(1) Let them bite you. Easier said than done.

(2) Scratching. I have done this. For most people, the first reaction is to scratch an itchy mosquito bite. But unfortunately, scratching will only provide temporary relief. What's more, scratching will actually inflame the area and cause the itching to get worse. You may also increase your chances of infection. If you must do something - tap or slap the bite, which will momentarily pause the itchy feeling.

Fun fact: Only Female Mosquitoes Bite.

Fun fact: Mosquitoes Do Prefer to Bite Some People Over Others. If you are covered in bites now you know why.

Fun fact: The females stockpile sperm. That's right. Female Aedes aegypti mozzies only need to mate once. The more you know.
