HOW TO SURVIVE A JELLYFISH STING!!!⚠️

Prevention: Not only do jellyfish stings hurt like hell, but can be deadly.

(1) Learn what jellyfish live where this is important because not all jellyfish are harmless.

(2) Learn when they might be most active so you can avoid these arrears.

(3) Going into the water where harmless jellyfish live is fine you may get stung but it will not be fatal unless you happen to have an allergic reaction, but going onto waters where dangerous jellyfish live isn't smart. Not only will it hurt like hell but could kill you.

(4) Touching them. Even if it washed up on sure it can sting you. So, do not touch it!

(5) Where a wet suit or other type of protective clothing. Diving stores sell protective skin suits or stinger suits.

Habit: Almost everywhere.

(1) Coldwater. Warm water.

(2) Saltwater. Freshwater.

(3) Everywhere! God are these things annoying.

Signs and symptoms: Pay attention to the following jellyfish sting signs and symptoms. This will vary depending on what jellyfish stung you.

(1) Burning, prickling, stinging pain.

(2) Welts or tracks on the skin — a "print" of the tentacles' contact with the skin.

(3) Itchiness (pruritus).

(4) Swelling.

(5) Throbbing pain that radiates up a leg or an arm.

(6) Stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting.

(7) Headache.

(8) Muscle pain or spasms.

(9)Faintness, dizziness, or confusion.

(10) Difficulty breathing.

(11) Heart problems.

First aid: I hope with all my heart you will never have to use this.

(1) Add vinegar to the affected area.

(2) Remove the stinger's tweezers then use a credit card to get out the metastasis from your skin.

(3) Soak the skin in hot water. Use water that's 110 to 113 F (43 to 45 C). It should feel hot, not scalding. Keep the affected skin immersed or in a hot shower until the pain eases, which might be 20 to 45 minutes.

(4) Stay calm. Packing will increase heart rate which will make the venom travel through your body faster.

(5) Don't move. Moving will increase heart rate which will make the venom travel through your body faster.

(6) Wait. All you can do now is wait for the ambulance or helicopter to pick you up. ( If you know it is not a venomous jellyfish sting do the following but don't call 911 unless you are having difficulty breathing have an allergic reaction or other life-threatening symptoms. )

Don'ts: Never do the following.

(1) Scraping out stingers.

(2) Rinsing with seawater. ( You can use seawater to rise it if you don't have vinegar, but vinegar works best. )

(3) Rinsing with human urine. This is so gross I can't believe it is a thing. Oh, wait yes I can. Humans are so stupid.

(4) Rinsing with fresh water.

(5) Applying meat tenderizer.

(6) Applying alcohol, ethanol, or ammonia.

(7) Rubbing with a towel.

(8) Applying the Pressure Immobilization Technique will not help.

(9) A tourniquet will be more of a problem than anything.

Fun fact: Some jellyfish are immortal.

Fun fact: 150 million people are stung by jellyfish each year.

Fun fact: You could be one of the 150 million.
