HOW TO SURVIVE A FISH STING!!!⚠️

Prevention: Steping on a stonefish is really really painful and deadly. There are also so many other fishes you need to watch out for.

(1) Stay away if you see a lionfish don't touch it. They aren't deadly unless you are allergic to the lionfish venom. If so go to the hospital.

(2) Don't touch a dead lionfish stonefish or pufferfish. They can still sing you when dead and even touching a pufferfish could kill you.

(3) Ware the right clothes. A stone fish can still sting you through your shoe and wetsuit. Water shoes may provide a barrier to the dorsal spines or reduce the depth of a puncture.

(4) The best ways to prevent contact with a stone ish are to wear water shoes and shuffle your feet when wading in shallow waters.

(5) Stonefish can get watched up on shore and live out of water for one day. If you step on one your flip lop will not save you. Ware think soled shoes and watch where you are walking.

Habit: Three fish a lot of places.

(1) Stonefish. Indo-Pacific to Africa, and even the Tuomoto Archipelago. They mostly live among coral bottoms, under rock ledges, and sometimes found around rubbles. I love warm water so stay away.

(2) Lionfish. Coral reefs in the tropical waters of the South Pacific and Indian Oceans. They are also invading Florida. God help us all.

(3) Pufferfish. Marine habitats from coasts and reefs to open pelagic waters and deep ocean, but some pufferfishes live in freshwater rivers in Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa.Signs and symptoms: A sting from a stonefish is a b***h and really painful. Not all of these symptoms will happen for puffer and lionfish stings. I pray to god you are in the Hospital or on the way there before most of these set in.

First aid: Well, a lionfish sting will hurt most of the time it isn't deadly Stonefish and pufferfish stings are always dangerous and you will need to go to the hospital.

(1) Act fast. Get out of the water and onto land as fast as you can. You have around 45 to 60 minutes to get help before things get really bad. I hope you are in a Hospital getting treated before the 60-minute mark and your life is up.

(2) Put the sight of the sting in hot water. Venom is heat serves and hot water can weaken it. The water should be 60 degrees Celsius or 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the sight of the sting in the water for 30 to 90 minutes. If you are waiting that long you are probably dead.

(3) Stay calm. Panicking will make the venom spread through you faster.

(4) Stay still. Moving will also make the venom move faster. If you want to see god moving is a good way to do so.

(5) Pulling the spine out of the wound can help. Be sure not to squeeze any venom glans that might have broken off in the wound.

(6) Take a painkiller. This will help with the pain well you wait to get taken to the Hospital.

(7) Call 911. Give them the person's age, weight, and condition, the type of fish, if known the time of the sting, and the location of the sting. This is all impotent information.

(8) Get antivenom. If you make it to the hospital antivenom will be administered to you.

Don'ts: No. Don't!

(1) Walk barefoot.

(2) Hole any of the fishes talled about.

Fun fact: They are the most venomous fish in the world.

Fun fact: Their venom sacs are found in their dorsal fin spines.

Fun fact: They are very fast predators.
