This is just a basic list of scenarios, and what they usually strive for. Some roleplays will have differing scenarios, but these are some of the ones I've come across.

Timeline: This type of scenario usually sticks to the timeline of a certain movie or show, for which the rp is based on. It starts either at the beginning of the show/movie or some point after the start, and makes its way in a neat progression towards the end. Characters often engage with canon characters in scenes directly from the show/movie.

Slice of Life: This type of scenario can be from a certain scene in any show/movie, or it can be completely made up. These scenarios are low action, and are more calming and enjoyable for those who enjoy day to day activities. It could be as simple as a movie night with a canon character, or as complex as your character traveling the world just to sightsee.

Angst: This type of scenario really digs into the feels. It's used commonly to hurt your character or a canon character, to put them through strife. It's a scenario to pull at the heartstrings, like your character getting shot or stabbed, and it's a race against time to save them.

Hurt/Comfort: Alike to angst, this scenario is also meant to put your character or canon character through turmoil, but also focuses on the recovery from the hurt. Say your character gets shot, and your comfort character then has to help your oc heal up, talking with them and keeping them company until they're well.

Future: This is a timeskip sort of scenario. It takes place in the future of whatever fandom you're working with, and is often based around your character and another. It can be scenarios such as a wedding, a new member to the family, or your character getting their future dream job they've always wanted.

Romance: This scenario is focused on two characters who have a romantic interest for each other. Whether it be Oc x Oc, or Oc x Canon, or Canon x Canon. It can be a date night, or even something spicier.

Character Based: These are just random scenarios based off of your character or a canon character. They don't belong to any particular time of the show/movie, but are meant to explore the character and their qualities.

WARNING
Doing the scenarios are fine and dandy, but it may cause issues if you repeat them over and over again. Beating a dead horse will not get you very far. While rping with the same person, try branching out and trying new scenarios!
