It was Edge who made the first move in terms of dating. He didn't know much about the topic, but he knew that beings did this to get know their partners and bond, so he was going to try at least. Using a dating hand guide he'd found, he learned the basic steps. Take him somewhere nice, wear nice clothing, compliments and food were usually involved. It couldn't be to hard. Despite all of the complications of his first date, he'd managed to follow the steps to impress Carrot. He'd even put on his best armor. Deeper and deeper into the forest they walked, Carrot had no idea what Edge was planning. "edge stop." Edge turned to Carrot. "WHAT IS IT?" Carrot looked around before looking to his boyfriend. "where are ya takin us? what's goin on?" Edge took up Carrot's hand. "IT'S A SURPRISE, JUST TRUST ME.."
"i do trust ya, i'm just confused." Carrot replied. "WE ARE ALMOST THERE, JUST A LITTLE MORE." With a small tug, Carrot followed Edge to... a clearing? Yes, it was a clearing in the center of the woods that had a small frozen pond. In the center of the clearing was a blanket with a microwave in the center. Carrot didn't ask why. "edge... w-what is this..?" Carrot could hardly believe it. "THIS IS A DATE, OF COURSE!" Hearing Edge actually say it was even more staggering. "I HAVE TOOK A LOT OF TIME AND PREPARATION INTO THIS DATE, SO IT BETTER BE GOOD!" Edge dragged Carrot over and they sat down. "ya really set all this up?" Carrot asked wondrously. "IT IS WHAT COUPLES DO, NO? AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THE DATING GUIDE SAID." Carrot almost laughed. Even a place like Underfell has the infamous dating guide? This will be interesting.

Edge opened the microwave to reveal piping hot plates of lasagna. "IT WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD THINK OF TO KEEP IT HOT IN SNOWDIN'S WEATHER SO EAT QUICKLY." Carrot still adorned that amused smirk which confused Edge greatly though he didn't question it. It was probably an Underswap thing. The two started to eat in silence as Edge ran through the steps in his head. Take him somewhere nice. Check. Where nice clothes. Check. Food. Check. What was he missing? "so what next, on this date?"

Edge suddenly felt like he was put on the spot and technically he was. He swallowed, desperately trying to remember what he was missing. "YOU LOOK HOT WITH YOUR HOODIE OFF!" Oh stars did he just say that!? His cheeks burned and Carrot looked pretty thrown off himself. He debated throwing himself in the pond to escape his embarrassment. The two ended up swapping clothes, curious about how each other looked in the others clothes. Of course it was only the hood and the chest plate, but it was enough to leave both a blushing mess. The hoodie was a bit to big for Edge and Carrot found his frustrations with the hood part adorable while Edge's armor was just a little to small for Carrot and he could barely see the beginnings of his ribcage. "oh my stars, your face!" Carrot laughed good-naturedly. "SH-SHUT UP!"
"heya edgy." Said skeleton stopped trying to fix the hood again. "HM?" Carrot grinned at Edge. "thanks for the date, i am having a great time!"
