They'd been dating for six months now. They cuddled, they kissed, they hugged, they hung out, they... did other things, but Edge still hadn't told Carrot that he loved him. At first Carrot thought it was because he was uncomfortable or even scared. It WAS Underfell after all. He tried to comfort him, tried to let him know that it was OK to tell him and he wouldn't tell a soul that Edge showed such 'weakness'. "IT'S NOT THAT.." Edge told Carrot. Carrot gave him a confused look. "then what is it..? i love you, you know i do, but if you don't love me back it's ok.. just... please tell me?" Edge hated to see Carrot so heartbroken. It wasn't that he didn't love him, he did. He was just.. waiting for the right time. He supposed that, now would have to be it. Edge sighed. "CARROT. I WANT YOU TO TRUST ME AND CLOSE YOUR EYES, BECAUSE THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, UNDERSTAND?" Carrot shifted uneasily in his spot. "ok, edgy... i trust you.." Carrot closed his sockets and awaited whatever Edge had to do or say. All the 'What if's' started to run in his head.

Edge swiftly went to get Carrot's gift. Seeing as he wasn't very good at expressing himself, dog collars were his way of showing he cared. It was the original reason why he got Sans his dog collar. With his infamous temper though... things had gotten out of hand. The collar was orange with little studs (in place of the diamonds), and a heart in the front to signify is love for Carrot. He tightened his grip on the collar and walked down the steps. Carrot was still waiting for him, getting more and more scared of the possibilities. Edge stroked one of his cheek bones to calm him a little. He fit the collar around his boyfriend and leaned in next to his 'ear'. "HONEY, I LOVE YOU~" He purred and pulled away quickly to watch Carrot's reaction. The wait was worth it. Carrot's sockets shot open in surprise at Edge's declaration. Edge smirked, looking from Carrot's face to the collar and to his face again. "YOU'RE MINE NOW~" He teased as Carrot looked down at the collar. He blushed heavily. "e-edgy.."
"I AM NOT THE BEST WITH WORDS, SO I GOT YOU A GIFT." From then on, Carrot always wore the collar, his collar. He knew Edge, he knew that it wasn't just a sign of ownership. He no longer doubted Edge's feelings for him either. Even if the skeleton didn't say it often, he knew that Edgy loved him.
