Chapter nine
As he walked away, you muttered curse words that Carl would definitely not approve of and kicked an empty can. Jeeze, this was suppose to be a safe sanctuary, not a freaking junkyard ship thingy. But it was still better than nothing.
A blonde girl pulled up a chair and took a seat next to you, and you scanned her discreetly.

"Hello. I'm North. " She titled her head and gave a warm smile.
"I'm (Y/n)." You continued to glare at Markus's retreating back- honestly, who did he think he was, dressed in those robes like some kind of hobo saviour of androids? He had changed so much.
North followed your gaze and laughed awkwardly, "Don't mind him. He's actually pretty nice when he's not pissed off."
He literally is pissed off all the fucking time, though.
You sniffed,"Yeah, he says androids should be freed but then tells me I can't have feelings."
"Look, he says that because you used to be a child android."
"You scanned me?!"
"Like you didn't do the same." North replied drily, then continued,"He actually cares a lot about you, talks about you almost everyday. I think he treats you like that because he sees you as a child, how Carl saw you."
"How do you know about Carl?" You stood up and glared accusingly at her. Your family was a personal matter, and you hated that she knew so much about your life.
"Markus told me." Her eyes lit up whenever she said his name, and it was getting annoying.
Well, fuck, did Markus just blab about his whole life story to her?
You felt a sudden resentment towards North, and bitterness rose. How could Markus just tell a random stranger everything about Carl, and you?
Unless... what if North was more than a friend to him? Did he have feelings for her?
"I guess you two are really close, huh." You said innoncently.
"Yeah, we are." Oh my god, fucking heck, did he run away for this girl? But North didn't say anything else, as if there was no more to this conversation. Clearing her throat, she stood up as well and pulled her jacket from the chair.
"Give him some time, (Y/n), I'm sure he'll understand. But now, we have a mission to do." Her sweet smile had turned cold, and her lips were curled into a cruel sneer.
"Let's show these fucking humans how to run a show."
