Righty-ho! (Ooh, how British of me).

This one kinda ties in with the previous part about knowing Michael's birthday.

I'm sure that the majority of Moonwalkers that read this chapter will be able to agree with this part ... cos it happens so BLOODY often!

How many of you have been told:

"Your obsession with Michael Jackson is sad"?

Because, just from my personal experience, it's A LOT. And I mean ... A LOT. In fact, almost every day when I'm at school.

Let's get started on this ... this madness.

Firstly ... no one can physically define "sad" in the sense of describing an obsession. Each person has a different view on what "sad" is, so therefore we cannot define "sad" at all, and all agree on it.

Secondly ... what part of our obsession or idolisation (right word?) is "sad"?

Is it because we know his birthday?

Is it because we know his middle name?

Is it because we know his favourite number or colour?

Hey! Maybe it's because we know the release order of all his albums!

But tell me ... how is that sad? If we weren't fans, we wouldn't have attempted to find that stuff out.

But ... we are fans.

Wait.

No we aren't.

We're Moonwalkers, and we're a family at that.

So ... why is it so wrong to find out a lot about Michael?

One Direction fans don't get judged if they know the birthday of Liam or Harry or Zayn or Louis or ...

What's the other one?

Oh ... Niall.

Sorry! I don't care for them SO much, I forgot one of their names.

That PROVES MY POINT!

If you don't care for a singer, you don't learn about them.

If you DO care for a singer, you DO!

Wow! What rocket science! Too complicated for tiny brains to handle ...

Mentioning no names. (Non-Moonwalkers).

So ... our obsession isn't sad, non-Moonwalkers. We have a strong devotion and love for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, so ... why shouldn't we take time to learn about him?

And besides ... he's Michael Jackson. It's kinda hard not to know at least a few things about him, even if you don't like him.

So, in conclusion, non-Moonwalkers, NEVER tell a Moonwalker that their obsession is "sad", otherwise I'll make YOU "sad" in another kind of way when I take my giant Michael teddy and gently high-five your face with a "HEEHEE, OAW, SHAMONE!" and knock you to the ground. 😊
