Okay, I really don't understand this one.

Is it just me, or do non-Moonwalkers take this obsession thing to another level?

I'm constantly faced with this conversation:

Non-Moonwalker: Hey, if you're a Michael Jackson fan, then when was he born?

Me: Easy! August 29, 1958 at thirteen seconds past 7:33pm on a Friday.

Non-Moonwalker: Ewww, how do you know his birthday? That's so sad!

Okay ... I'm sorry, but why did you ask if you're just gonna call me sad? That's the most ridiculous thing ever (after saying Michael is a Paedophile).

Like, I'm a Moonwalker. You may not have heard of that, but it's a fan of Michael Jackson.

You know what a "fan" is, or is that too hard for you to comprehend as well?

A fan is a person who devotes some of their life to an idol, meaning that YES, they DO know a lot about them!

Mind-boggling, isn't it?

So ... it's mostly boys who have taken part in that conversation with me. Let's do this from a boy's point of view.

So ... you're into what? Games? Cars? Girls? God knows, cos I'm not a boy.

If I were to ask you a question about any topic you're interested in, you would be able to give an answer, wouldn't you?

Would you like me to call your interest in that topic "sad" as well?

So ... in conclusion, non-Moonwalkers, don't say that it's sad to know my idol's birthday. It's simply something fans know about their idols.
