Whey-hey! I'm back! Did you think I'd forgotten about my rants? Hell nah. Just exams keeping me busy. They officially started today. Damn.

Anyway, I've got some time to rant, so I think I'm going to take advantage of that time.

This topic really, really makes me laugh. I can't say I've ever experienced this, but I've seen other Moonwalkers experience this. Basically, you're talking to a non-Moonwalker on Wattpad, and they make this lovely comment:

"You write fanfiction ... for a dead man?"

Isn't that a cute question?

Like ... seriously?

And ... why is that a bad thing?

Okay, okay. First off, Fanfiction is called Fanfiction for that exact reason. It's fiction ... which fans of a certain person write. Is it that hard to comprehend?

Last time I checked, Michael Jackson is the kind of person you'd be a fan of. He's a celebrity, no?

Exactly.

So, um ... does that not mean we can write fanfictions about him?

Is it because Michael's not attractive to you, non-Moonwalkers? Because that's a matter of personal taste. You can't judge someone for who they find attractive. That's not fair.

Is it because Michael is too old-fashioned, non-Moonwalkers? Hell, he still has millions of fans today. Can't be that old if he's still loved today.

Is it because of all the rumours and his personal life, non-Moonwalkers? Damn, you need to do your research. Most, if not all of the rumours have a valuable explanation. Sorry about that.

Then if it's none of those reasons, it has to be the classic "He's dead", as mentioned in the title of this part.

Um ... why does it matter whether or not he's alive? There are plenty of fanfictions for celebrities that aren't alive any more, but I don't see you judging those.

And anyway, Michael being gone is another excuse to write Fanfiction; it's our way of escaping the harsh reality of knowing he's gone, instead to create our own imaginary world where we are always with him. Because ... we love him. Is that such a bad thing?

I think you get my drift, anyway. Non-Moonwalkers, never question a Moonwalker about their fanfic writing. Chances are, they'll get angry or offended by it, because it's just downright rude.

I mean seriously ... fanfic is about anything you want! Michael's allowed to be included, surely!

If I ever catch you saying stuff like this to a Moonwalker, then I'll slap you across the face with my replica of the Glitter Glove. I've said this before, and I've said it again. You've been warned, heheh.
