3 - The groups of verbs in French and some verbs

Hi again students ! How are you today ? I hope you are fine. Today I will teach a thing you probably don't have in English : the groups of verbs ! There are 3 groups.

1st group : common verbs that finish by "er" in original form. Some examples :

Chanter (to sing)
Manger (to eat)
Tuer (to kill)
BUT! There is a exception! "Aller" (to go) belong to the 3th group.

2nd group : a little bit irregular verbs, they end by "ir" and anyways have "issons" with "nous" in present. Some examples :

Finir (to finish)
Grandir (to grow)

3rd group : they are irregular and they are the verbs we can't place in 1st or 2nd group, so they are like rejected verbs (R.I.P verbs of the 3rd group, nobody love them because they are complicated). Example :

Être (to be)
Avoir (to have)
Aller (to go)

"Être" and "avoir" are very important in French, so i will show you how to change it.

AVOIR

J'ai
Tu as
Il a
Nous avons
Vous avez
Ils ont

ÊTRE

Je suis
Tu es
Il est
Nous sommes
Vous êtes
Ils sont

They change a lot, like all the verbs of 3th group. So, let's see how a verb of 1st group change!

CHANTER

Je chante
Tu chantes
Il chante
Nous chantons
Vous chantez
Ils chantent

Now, still in 1st group but a little bit harder!

MANGER

Je mange
Tu manges
Il mange
Nous mangeons
Vous mangez
Ils mangent

You noticed ? There is a strange "e" in "mangeons" ! It is for the pronunciation. Without it, it sounds "mangon", but with the "e" we pronunciate it "manjeon". Strange, right ? But now, let's see how the verbs of 2nd group change :

FINIR

Je finis
Tu finis
Il finit
Nous finissons
Vous finissez
Ils finissent

And at this moment, I know you will ask me "But Sombre! Where are the verbs with ing ? Do you forgot them?! :(" He he, no! They don't exist in French, we have only basic times, not 2 times of a same time. We are easy sometimes (only sometimes.. not everytime). And now...

FRENCH WORDS TIME!

For this FWT (French Words Time), I choose the music vocabulary. ^^

- Chanson

It is like "music", but a "chanson" is ANYWAYS with lyrics. Like.. "la la la I love the potato chips!" (Ok I choose weird examples I know) or "I love cheese! Cheese my loovveeeee!", "J'adore ma vie la la la!" (I love a lot my life la la la!), all you want but it needs to be a sentence or a group of sentences like.. (Omg, Sombre become a music teacher!) :

"I love, love
MY LIFFFEEEEEEE
Forever I love it!
I love it!
La la la, I love it!
I want it!
I can die for it!
I know this music is stupid!
Something is wrong with me I think!
I love drinking!
Yeah yeah it is me the teacher of musiiiiiccccc !"

(Please, for the good of the world, never let me be a music teacher, please)

- Musique.

Same, but with no lyrics or human voice.

Have a great day students! <3 ^^ See you later, in the next lesson!
