Mark's POV

I waited until Gun finished talking to Boat. I tried my best not to eavesdrop on their conversation.

I took a quick glance on Gun's face after he swiped his phone screen to end the call. He looked disappointed.

"What's going on?" I couldn't help asking.

"He canceled," Gun said.

"What did he cancel?" I prompted him to tell more.

"He was supposed to come over to my apartment and hang out with me cuz it's Friday night," he said, no longer bothering to hide the disappointment in his voice. In fact, he was pouting as well.

He looked so adorable pouting. I wanted to kiss those pouty lips.

Then I realized there was a golden opportunity that just opened before me.

"If your plans have been canceled by your no good friend..." I started to say but he interrupted me.

"He's not a no-good!" he declared strongly, glaring at me. He was almost yelling at me.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," I made several steps back with my hands held up in the air. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to badmouth your friend. I was just trying to say that if your plans to hang out with him is no longer happening, why don't you hang out with me this evening? We could watch a movie for as long as we are already here at the mall."

He did not reply right away. He seemed to be thinking it over while I stopped breathing while waiting for him to make up his mind.

After what seemed like an eternity, he finally asked, "What movie did you have in mind?"

Yasss!!!

"You wanna watch a triple X rated film?" I asked but of course I was just kidding.

He started to walk away.

I ran up to him and grabbed his wrist.

"I was kidding, I was kidding," I said. "But what I meant was that animated film for general audiences and actually its title is Triple X."

"I swear I'm not kidding," I said when he looked at me doubtfully. "Come I'll show you which theater it is showing."

He reluctantly followed me to the escalator.

The movie houses were located on the third floor close to where the general food court was.

When we reached the third floor, we made our way to the row of movie houses. We had to pass by the food court to get to the movie houses.

Suddenly a very angry red faced but handsome young man approached us.

"With how many more men are you gonna cheat on me, Gun, huh??? First it was Boat, and now it's this elementary school kid..."

I was initially just willing to be a bystander and watch the altercation between this young man and Gun but because he had attacked me, I had to step in.

"I am not an elementary school kid," I had to correct his wrong impression of me. "I am a university student. I am probably older than you."

He ignored me.

"Stop making wrong conclusions," Gun scolded him. "I am just here to..."

Suddenly another young man joined our small group.

"What's going on, P'Pond?" he asked, looking a bit confused. "You just stood up from our table without a warning."

"That ... that ..." Gun started to say, pointing his index finger directly to the newcomer's face. "He is the one you've been cheating with on me!"

"What???"  The guy named Pond started to laugh hysterically.

The newcomer also started to laugh but not as much as Pond.

"Gun, this is my childhood friend and neighbor, Phuwin," Pond explained seriously after his laughter died down. "We hang out from time to time whenever we can."

"We are not in any way romantically involved," Phuwin added for good measure, to reinforce Pond's statements.

When Gun just stood there not making any reaction, Pond suddenly said, "You know what, Gun, I've had it. We cannot continue with a relationship that's very much lacking in trust. You can have your boy toys and I will go on my merry way. It was nice knowing you."

And with those words, Pond grabbed Phuwin by the wrist and walked away from us.

Gun tried to run after him but I held him back.

"Don't lose your pride by going after him." I told Gun firmly. "If he really loves you, he will go back to you."
