Saga entered her room a started packing things she's gonna need for her journey and wrote a letter to her mother. She really wanted to tell her in person but if Eric would find out that she's going away to find something that's only a myth for him, he would lock her up somewhere.
Saga and her brother always got along great but since her father got sick and Eric became chief because Saga refused to be chieftess while her father couldn't, thier relationship changed. Eric changed. It is as if he waited his whole life for the moment he could be chief...
Saga was completely lost in thoughts when it knocked on her door. She hid everything she had packed and most importantly the letter. While she hid the stuff a voice from beyond the door said: "Saga, I know you're in there you can't trick me, I hear you in there." Saga was relieved that the voice doesn't belong to her brother. It belonged to her best friend Brenna. She was pretty chaotic sometimes but what do you expect from the daughter of Ruffnut and Snotlout that was mostly raised by her uncle Tuffnut?
"Finally. I waited for ages, what took you so long? Did you hide your secret lover?", was the first thing Brenna said before she stepped inside the room. Before Saga could realise Brenna picked up a piece of paper from the ground and started to unfold it. But before she could read it Saga thought: Shit, the letter!
She took the letter from Brenna as fast as she could, hoping that Brenna didn't read anything. If Brenna knew she was leaving she would want to come with her and she really didn't wanted to put Brenna in danger.
"What the -" Brenna wanted to protest but Saga interrupted her.
"It's a love letter and I don't want you to read it!"
Saga realised what she just said when Brenna smirked at her.
"A love letter? From who? A secret lover or my brother?" She wiggled with her eyebrows while she said it.
"I don't know, it's not signed", Saga lied hoping she would believe her.
"Pity" was the only thing coming from Brenna before she added: "Wanna go outside?"
She thought about how many she still has to do and decided to not go out.
"Sorry, but I don't feel so good and..."
"It's ok. I'll go, have fun with your lover." Brenna winked at her and left her room. Saga locked the door after her to make sure she won't return. Sometimes Brenna could be really annoying but when you really needed her she was always there and Saga was very glad to have her. She thought about leaving her best friend, her mother and her home behind. Was it really a good idea to leave?
She thought about her brother who was a horrible chief. He even said once he wants to marry her off, without their mother knowing, to a complete stranger. My brother has become a horrible person..., Saga thought. She also thought about her father.
Suddenly her worries were washed away and she was determined again. She would leave tonight.

When it got dark and the whole village was asleep, Saga snuck out of her room to put her stuff on a boat she already prepared for her journey. She went back to her room one last time to get the last bag and leave her letter there.

"See, I told you she's going away", a voice from a hiding spot that Saga just passed whispered.
"Maybe she's just going fishing", said another voice.
"With so much stuff? Sometimes I really think your sister got all the brain", said a third voice.
"We should go with her. Follow her, you know?", said the first voice again.
"Are you serious? Where is she even going?", said the third voice again.
"I don't know. I just found out that she's leaving but not where", said the first voice again.
"You're so insane, you know that right?", said the second voice.
"I know", said the first voice again then it was silent.
After seconds of silence the first voice said again: "I don't know about you, but I am going after her." Then the owner of the voice snucked out of thier hiding spot.
"Wait, you can't follow her. She's 19 years old and she can make her own decisions", said the third voice again.
"Oh and how I can follow her. I'll show you", the first voice said determined and walked towards the ship.
"Come on. We're going too", the second voice said and the two walked out of thier hiding spot to the ship.

"I knew you would follow", said the first voice when the others arrived at the docks. "It's good that Saga choose such a big ship, means enough hiding space for us."
The three persons hid in the ship.

Saga returned to her ship and got on it. She prepared the the last things and then the ship left the island.
The wind run through Saga's brown hair and she enjoyed the thought of going on a journey, far away from her brother, to save her father.
She opened her bag and took out her father's map. He gave it to her years ago because she was always so facinated in his stories about the world.
She looked at the map and got lost in thoughts again, not knowing about the three persons that hid on her ship.
