The year 3054. One thousand years after all of Minecraft has been forgotten, after all the YouTubers we know and love today have died.

What nobody remembers is the incident involving the YouTubers.

They were once thrown into an alternate dimension because of an evil god, jealous of his brother, who was living in the real world. His brother has died long ago, but in the dimension he comes from, everybody is immortal unless they fall in battle. He was enraged when the YouTubers escaped, and began plotting his next step to ruin their lives: finding their youngest descendants and trapping them.

Fiona Dahlburg, Hayden Williams, Johnathon Stokes, Mitchell Hughes III, Annika Dreymond, Samuel Wendel, and Jay Robinson have no idea who their great-great-(with maybe even more 'greats')grandfathers are. They live in an era where video games and the internet lie forgotten, where all fossil fuels have been used up, where power is scarce. They live in a world where school is not required because it's enough of a challenge to survive. Somehow they're living in the same area; maybe it's because there are few places left that aren't deadly.

When John finds something completely strange, he can't help but tell the others; and they in turn can't help but investigate. But the investigation leads to a twisted turn of events as they all become trapped in a strange world that they have no experience living in. With Mitch and Jay constantly at each other's throats, John hating every peaceful animal that crosses his path, Hayden loathing Fiona for showing him up at every turn, Annika facing an internal crisis, and Samuel not getting along with anybody, escape seems all but impossible.
