Episode 4: Falling for Her
Episode 4: Falling for Her
Sorry for the long update, this was a hard chapter to write. Don't judge me, yet... Brandon.
Alright so I figured since this was kind of a cheap autobiography of my life, let me just tell you one thing. I'm a jerk. I thought I changed but recent events has proven otherwise. Clyde may be the man-wh0re, but I'm probably the biggest douchebag I know.
So one of the reasons I had taken so long to update is because I didn't know if I was going to go all out in this book. I decided to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so there you have it, by the time you finish with this chapter you'd probably disown me; here goes nothing.
It was near the middle of 2009 and my friends had noticed that I had spent so much of time on my phone. Also, sometimes when we were hanging out I'd just up and leave to go run "errands".
The errand was particularly one thing... I was doing Tasha. Nearly four to five times a week, I kid you not. This girl was on fire it was as if her hormones were freaking over producing and I did not mind at all.
However, there were a few things on my mind.
1.) I was betraying my friend, Daniel who was Tasha's current boyfriend.
2.) I was completing lying to my best friends.
3.) I was lying to my family.
4.) I was in love.
Yeah, you know how they say that there's this one big ass love of your life that comes along and blows you (literally) of your feet? That was her.
Honestly, I don't know how it happened or why it happened but it just did. It's weird how my memory is kind of fuzzed during this period because it was that amazing. The sex I mean was amazing, that's probably the only thing possible that would get a guys mind all fuzzed up.
I remember one incident that was really messed up and it started while we were watching a movie and drinking at Reece's place. My phone started buzzing and it was from Tasha. She just sent one word.
Busy?
I replied quickly saying no and got up from the couch.
"Get me another beer too," Clyde said cranking his neck from the side as his legs were sprawled over the couch.
"Uh, I gotta go," I lied and picked up my keys. Suddenly four heads popped up in the upright position.
"Where? It's 9 o'clock now," Roger said with a frown on his face. They definitely knew something was suspicious, it was a Tuesday night and we all had college the next day.
"I have something due and I forgot about it," I said as my heart started beat faster.
I couldn't tell them the truth, it was Tasha. They'd tell me the same old thing... that she was a cheater and a reputable sloot.
"Alright, take the spare keys and lock the door on your way out," Reece said with a slight squint to his eyes.
Reece definitely knew something was up; he was always the first one to catch onto things. I knew it wouldn't be long until shit got real. I nodded and left his place quickly.
It took me about fifteen minutes to get to Tasha's apartment and as soon as I stepped into her place, she grabbed me by the shirt. Like I said, this girl was on fire. I was probably her "booty-call" but hey, I didn't mind not one bit... usually.
So considering that this book isn't supposed to be R-Rated, I won't describe our raunchy scene. Yes, I know how much you'd love to hear a sexy thing like myself seduce this girl but let's just say I ravaged her like the force of three thousand soldiers during the First World War.
Anyway, that wasn't the important part. After we had done the deed, she got a text message from her current boyfriend, Daniel.
And my blood f*cking boiled. Up until this girl, I had never known how jealous type of person I was. Seriously, I wanted to throw that f*cking phone across the wall.
"Who is that?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"Oh, just Dan texting me," She replied. So now she's calling him Dan, how f*cking special.
"Oh," I said getting up and putting my shirt on.
"Sweety, you know I can't get out of it," She said getting up from the bed.
"Yeah," I replied harshly and left the room to get my keys.
All these new feelings were freaking confusing me. I felt so angry for no specific reason. He was her boyfriend, he supposed to text her but it made me so furious I swear if that guy was there in the room he would have got beaten the f*ck up.
I dated other girls but I never felt like this before, it was like I was out of my element and normally when it came to girls, I was the expert.
"Stay, I'll make some coffee," She said with my smile. I didn't want to stay because it would just cause a fight and I didn't have the energy for that.
"No, I have to go," I said.
So I left again and headed back to Reece's place. During the drive, I imagined all kinds of possible scenarios such as Daniel leaving her for someone else or Daniel moving to the opposite end of the world or even Daniel f*cking dying.
I opened the door to Reece's flat in hope that I would be greeted by silence and darkness but I had completely forgot that Reece was a major insomniac and was wide awake at two in the morning.
"Morning," He said with a smirk as he looked up from his laptop.
"Forgot you'd be awake," I said quietly. "Where am I sleeping?" I asked. Normally Dean, Clyde and Roger sleep in the guest room (two on the bed, one of the floor) and I usually crash in living room. Reece sleeps by himself because that bitch wonders about in early hours of the morning waking everybody up.
"You can sleep in my room, I'm not going back to sleep," He said still looking at me suspiciously.
I nodded and just as I was about to go into the passageway, he speaks again.
"You know, if Daniel finds out..." he began to say while typing on his laptop.
I sighed and rubbed my hand on my head. How the heck did he even find out anyway?
"How do you know?" I asked and made a full turn to sit opposite him now.
"I saw a call from her on your phone the other day and she would be the only person that would make you be all secretive," He admitted.
"Well so much for privacy," I said rudely. I was already in a bad mood and Reece just got me at the wrong time.
"Sorry, I thought you were acting weirdly and I just wanted to know if everything was alright," He said sincerely.
"So you just f*cking go through my phone? You could have asked me," I hissed and looked at him coldy.
"Well it's not like you would have said anything," He reasoned with a shrug. I don't know why I was so angry but I just took it all out on Reece. Looking back, this was probably the biggest regrets of my life because I really didn't know I would stoop this low and betray a friend.
"Maybe not to an inquisitive prick like you," I replied harshly.
"What the f*ck is the matter with you? She's your friend's girlfriend and you're just screwing her behind his back?" He said slamming his laptop closed and leaning back.
"I'm not f*cking doing it intentionally, it just happened!" I shouted trying to defend myself. I don't know how I got into this situation it was just then whenever she called I wanted to be there because it was her.
"So you're just going to f*ck over your friends like that? Is that who you are now?" He questioned and I shook my head.
"You don't know who I am," I said angrily.
"Really? The people in this house are probably the only ones who f*cking know who you are," He hissed and looked at me sternly.
"What the f*ck do you expect me to do? I'm in too deep already," I replied and I was now considering leaving his flat.
"So what happens when he finds out? She's going to end your little affair and then you'd be in another f*cked up situation with another girl, typical," he retorted.
"I might actually have feelings for her," I hissed.
"Are you joking?" Reece asked.
"Does it look like I'm f*cking joking, Reece?" I questioned strongly.
"So you're willing to just f*ck over him because of this one girl?" He asked again. I could already feel the atmosphere getting so tense.
"She's not just one girl," I said through clenched teeth.
"Are you f*cking kidding? She has cheated on her boyfriend more than once. What makes you think she won't do the same to you?" He argued coldly.
"She'll change," I stated and he laughed sarcastically.
"She's a f*cking wh0re, everybody knows that," He replied.
And that's when I lost it. I had no idea what happened or what came over me but just lashed out at him and pushed him. He stumbled into the table but unfortunately, this is Reece. He is relatively jacked and in no time he got up with a look of absolute murder in his face.
The next thing I know was that I was being rammed into another wooden coffee table. There was glass shattering and punches thrown. I didn't know what got over me, but I was fighting back.
Honestly, I could feel all the punches and kicks but it was as if I had left me own body and I was looking at the fight from a third person view. I knew I shouldn't be hitting back but I had so much frustration built up in me, I couldn't even stop it. At the same time, I couldn't believe I was having a pure brawl with Reece of all people.
Come to think of it, I always thought that the person who I'd probably get into a fight with was Clyde because we always had stupid arguments anyway but never in a million years would I have guessed that Reece and I would wind up trying to kill each other.
I've never seen Reece so angry, it was like a new side of him because normally Clyde and I were always the ones starting fights and the rest would just stop them.
Suddenly, he was on the floor and I was f*cking pounding at his abs and the next thing I knew, I'm on the floor too taking direct punches to my face. There was blood everywhere and at this point I didn't know it was either his or mine. All this happened within three minutes or so before Clyde, Roger and Dean came rushing to the lounge.
I don't know how the neighbors hadn't heard anything but luckily they hadn't called the cops because that was something that none of us were willing to handle again.
I remember looking around and that place was a f*cking mess. There was table legs lying around, broken glass, furniture everywhere. We had gone crazy.
Clyde and Dean grabbed Reece and got him off me while Roger helped me up.
"I was just trying to give you advice!" he shouted as he was being held back by them. If Clyde and Dean weren't holding him back, he would have probably lashed out at me again, that's how angry he was.
"I'm sorry!" I said realizing how freaking pissed I had gotten him.
"I was trying to help you and you f*cking hit me," He shouted still struggling to get out of Dean and Clyde's hold.
"Reece, I'm sorry, I lost control," I said holding my arm which could have been broken now.
"I can't believe you," He said finally getting loose from Dean and Clyde.
He walked up to me and looked me in the eye. At this point, I thought I'd get f*cked up again and I was willing to take it since it was all my fault. However, he said one thing that literally made me heart sink.
"You're no longer my friend," He said and walked away while wiping the blood from his lip.
"And get the f*ck out of my house."
