'Wow Rain,' Coral stared in amazement. 'This looks fantastic.'

'Thanks.' Rain replied happily. 'I wrote it when I was your age.

Now, it's time to introduce you to the four Mersprites!'

'Now? Wait, I thought they were still in their eggs.'

'Nope, they're right through here.' Rain revealed a door in the wall that had gone unnoticed.

Ocean, who had slipped back inside, put a hand on Coral's shoulder. 'You ready?'

Coral looked up in his turquoise eyes and nodded.

The three swam through the doorway.

The sprites were definitely not what Coral expected. She had expected fairy-like creatures, but they looked like dragons. Really, really cute dragons.

'Oh my gosh!' Coral squealed. The yellow sprite leapt into her arms.

'I thought you might like them.' Rain smiled. 'Now, it's best we leave them and get back to Queen Anahita.'

'Aw, okay.' Coral placed the sprite on a rock cluster.

The three closed the door to the Mersprite sanctuary and made their way back to the main hall. Coral's brothers were waiting around for her.

'Hey! How'd you go?' River grinned.

'Oh River, the sprites are so cute!' Coral began but was interrupted by the Queen.

'Ahem.' Coral sharply turned her head.

'One last thing.' The Queen added. 'This is for you, Coral.' She handed Coral a box.

'If you need to become a mermaid again, press down on the pendant. It works the same way for becoming human.'

'Okay, thank you.' Coral replied.

Coral was ready.
