Let's say you are in a bookstore browsing the shelves and you see a girl standing there looking very conflicted about which book to buy. You're standing near her deciding if you should jump in or not, but then of course you do, because you are a book nerd and that side of you takes over. You have to help this poor soul out. How could you possibly pass up the chance to give out book recommendations? That's what you live for! 

So without invitation you see a book she's looking at on the shelf and start your sales pitch. "Hi. I see you're looking at Thief of Lies there by Brenda Drake. Thinking of getting it? You totally should. I mean, it has hot guys who teleport to all these amazing libraries all over the world and there are these epic battles to protect them and ah, it's just perfect. Oh and it has this swoon worthy forbidden romance. Yes, please!"

You will most likely get one of two reactions. The first, that person will look at you like a total crazy person and walk out quietly, or they will be very happy for your input and ask for more recommendations. The latter is definitely the more preferable option, but us book nerds have to be prepared for anything.
