DEPARTURE
Three weeks later, the sleepy morning in Pallet town was suddenly shook awake by the horrendous blows of yells and counter yells, so much that they would even put the three headed Dodrio to shame.
"Yes Mom, I have packed all the clothes!?
"Do you have all the stuff you need, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb,......" Delia went on and on.
*Sigh* "Yes mom, I have got all of them here in my bag!
"Have you packed your underwe..?"
"YES, MOM I HAVE ALL. PLEASE STOP TEASING ME!" Ash was redder than a tomato by this time.
Delia laughed, "It's fine dear, you can never be careful after all."
Ash sweatdropped, this was what happened at home before every journey.
Descending, Ash kept his suitcase at the doorstep. Although he would never accept it, he was a little nervous. After all, he, a commoner, a no one, attending an academy, where none but the richest, and the best, and the most famous attend. Although, in his five years of journey, Ash had achieved serious stuff. But he doubted the title of Alola Champion, an ex-secret service agent, and a Pokemon trainer matched the position of the sons and daughters of the mammoth corporate giants, the famous superstars, the Presidents and the members of the Royal families.
"C'mon Ash, now you are overthinking" Ash chided himself. "You are as good as any of those rolling in riches. Just have confidence, and you will survive." Ash took a deep breath and calmed himself down.
A few minutes later, in the living room, Ash could hear a rumbling and a whirring. Ash knew what it was. Ash's guess was right when he saw a shiny white vintage convertible was seen on the mud road, creating a hurricane of smoke and mud behind it, as it raced on the road. The convertible stopped near the gate, and out came professor Oak and Gary.
"ASHY BOY, COME OUT! YOUR PLANE IS GONNA LEAVE IN THREE HOURS TIME!" Gary yelled.
"There is no need to yell Gary. I know that." Ash sweatdropped., as he took his luggage towards the car.
Half an hour later, Delia, Ash, Gary and Professor Oak were on the country road leading to Viridian city. The way passed through lush green country lawns, dense forests and a lake, and was ABSOLUTELY brimming with Pokemon of different species. Ash and Pikachu got an unexpected treat as they gazed, absolutely fascinated, at the dense trees, where a mother pidgeotto sat on her eggs, ready to hatch. Their eyes widened as they discovered a scizor blurring past them. Their stomachs twisted and turned, as they saw a small red Magicarp suddenly evolve, into a huge, roaring Gyarados.
They had just begun to relive each and every second of their journey, went the car zoomed into Viridian city. God knows what possessed Professor Oak there. He suddenly slammed the gas pedal and the car suddenly raced towards the airport. It was as if Professor Oak was in a race against time. The car suddenly lurched forward and threw Ash and Pikachu face-slamming on the windshield, staring at the huge international terminal of Viridian City. However, Ash was not dazed, apart from the windshield incident. Every six months, Ash had to go on travels, and he would always use the Viridian City Airport to begin with.
After a few minutes of untangling himself, Ash hopped off the car, to see that Gary had loaded all his luggage on the trolley.
"Well Ashy Boy, you are all loaded up and ready to go. Also, one more thing" Gary said and dug his hands into his pockets.
"Where did it go....AAH!" Gary exclaimed as he took out something like a transparent glass for a watch.
Ash was puzzled. "Err Gary, do you want to change the cover for my watch?"
Gary did not say anything, but took Ash's watch hand containing his Casio digital watch and, taking out the original plastic glass, attached his own glass to the watch face. Then suddeny, he tugged at his hand hard, bringing Ash forward, and taking some sort of cube shaped machine, kept it on Ash's watch. The device beeped thrice.
"Aah, now it is all set to go." Gary was beaming.
"Well, fill me up. What is all set to go?" Ash was weirded out by now
Gary smugly smiled, "Just another one of my inventions. But don't worry, this is not going to cause utter destruction or chaos or anything else" Gary said, oblivious to Ash's glare towards him.
"Well, it was pretty kind of you Monsieur, to honor me by your present, which consists of an empty glass covering, without considering it important to aware me of its usage." Ash sarcastically stated.
Oblivious to Ash's sarcasm, Gary waved his hand dismissively, "Oh no need to thank me Ashy Boy, as your long-time buddy, I consider it my duty to make sure to keep a tab on you and prevent you from being distracted by those brat rich kids." He grinned.
Ash sighed, and turned his attention to the two elders, who seemed to burst any moment from laughter.
"My my, what a touching farewell, even Darkrai would be on the floor weeping now." Ash exclaimed drily.
The two adults, who had managed to recover a little, again collapsed into fits of laughter.
After a while, Delia managed to stand up weakly. Wiping a tear from her eyes, she said, "Oh, you two are a humorous pair."
Now it was Professor Oak's turn, "Well, you two are very compatible. It should have been expeted, as you two have spent three fourths of your life together." Then, composing himself, "Listen Ash, now you are leaving. I hope you are not planning to smuggle any Pokemon except Pikachu into the Academy." He was serious.
Ash gulped, "No professor, of course not."
On hearing the refusal, the professor relaxed, "Good, now you can go. Your flight is about to leave in half an hour."
"OH SHOOT, I HAVE TO GO!" Ash rushed in.
"Bye Ash!" "Bye son!" "BYE ASHY BOY!" the trio cried, seeing the raven head running through the checkout counter, and out of their sight into the depths of the airport.
THE CERULEAN CAVE, NEAR THE CERULEAN CITY, KANTO
"Where will you run, you rascal!" One grunt spat at the pokemon, white except a purple tail, covering his entire pelvis.
"Graaa." The pokemon tried scratching at the rocky walls, against which it was cornered. It might have used psychic powers, but the grunts threw a gas ball, which had absolutely paralysed half his body, from neck to the stomach. The pokemon had fear in his eyes, and hurt, bruises and bloody slashes littered over his entire face and body
The pokemon was slowly losing focus. "Graaa" it weakly managed, before collapsing into a very long slumber, a very very long slumber.
The grunts packed away Mewtwo in a cage, and placed it near Mew's cage, whose condition was not any better. The grunts had destroyed the Tree of Life to weaken Mew, before beating it into surrendering.
"Boss, we have both the legends in our possession." One grunt spoke into a walkie-talkie.
"Very good. I understand that you have brought Ho-oh, Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos under control as well."
"Yes boss. We have dispatched them to base."
"Good, we have made good progress. I hope our regional partners are also doing their job, and very soon, everyone will bow down to us and fear us, and then we wil be the absolute masters of not only the world, but the whole universe." He sneered, and cut off.
"And this time" he said, patting the Persian by his side " no one will be there to stop us."
