Zero was relaxing as long as possible since he knew, if Void woke up then he was in for a lot more pain. He went to grab hi backpack only to realize he never brought it. "Shit." Zero whispered. He really wanted a snack. Looks like Zero wasn't having breakfast unless Void does a smash and pass from a random store.

Zero stood up and the boat shook violently, causing him to fall in the ice cold, river. Void jumped up, pulling out his sword in under a second. Void looked down only to see Zero climbing back on the boat.

"Taking a morning swim?" Void joked.

Zero just stared at him. "Real funny."

Void shrugged. Zero isn't one for jokes I guess. Void though to himself. He opened a portal and pulled out a box of Oreo cookies. Zero stared at the box of cookies. He had a small smile on his face. Void opened the box and tossed it to him.

"Uh- thanks!" Zero said as he grabbed a cookie out of the box.

"You're welcome." Void responded as he grabbed the same thing through the portal.

They sat there as they munched down on the cookies. Void has never done this before. Eating with others felt weird. He used to just float in the sky and eat whatever he had, alone other than the chance of being smacked with a airplane wing.

"So what are we going to do today?" Zero questioned.

"More sword training. It'll save your life one day, and someday maybe even your friends and loved ones." Void answered.

Zero flinched at the word "Friends." Void noticed that but never mentioned anything. That's one question that will remain unanswered. Void put his box of cookies aside and looked at the sky. Awful dark out but then again, it was only Four in the morning.

"Maybe we should train on a more natural terrain." Zero suggested.

"That would be better. More space to move around too." Void agreed.

Void drove the boat to the docks and seen that the Monster that chased them wasn't their anymore. Void shrugged and tossed the keys to the man waiting for his boat. The man was pretty pissed but he was happy his boat was still in good condition.

Void then grabbed Zero and teleported to the other side of the river. He'd rather stay away from that side. Zero pulled out his sword and stabbed in into the ground.

"So, what type of sword training are we doing?" Zero asked, still eating his cookies.

"Evasive tactics. I wanna see how fast you are at dodging." Void answered.

He pulled out a dull sword, so he didn't fatally harm Zero. Zero on the other hand didn't know it was dull. Void swung the sword and Zero ducked down. Not really skillful but effective enough. The Void started doing some samurai moves and eventually hit Zero in the chest.

Zero was on the ground laughing for some reason and Void tilted his head? He was expecting a different reaction to that. Man this kid is confusing.

"Why are you laughing?" Void asked, curiously.

"I have no idea!" Zero managed to say, while laughing.

Void looked up and sighed. Zero calmed down after a minute and Void repeated everything he did last time. Zero, didn't do to bad. Although he did get his shirt cut somehow. Zero the disarmed Void, almost hitting himself in the process but he managed to do it.

Void gave him a confused but surprised look. "Not bad kid."

Zero held to the side of his arm. Maybe he did hit himself. Well it wasn't Void's problem. Well it was a little bit of his problem but he didn't really care. Zero shrugged off the pain and was ready to train again

Hours later...

Zero was lying on his back, gasping for breath. He used all of his energy and breath in his lungs to dodge Void's attacks successfully. It worked but with a price. He was stabbed unexpectedly as he stood up. Void gave him a shocked expression and Zero slowly turned his head. It was the Monster that tried to kill him yesterday.

It slowly pulled the sword out of Zero, making everything ten times worst. Zero collapsed to the ground, half dead and bleeding out. Void looked at the monster and struck it in the face. It looked confused at first then charged at Void.

Void dodged with ease and eventually the monster was tired. Void took his chance to attempt to kill it but instead in turned into smoke. Back to where it came from. Where Void came from. He helped Zero on his feet and tried to path him up as best as he could. He never had to do this to another person.

Zero winced in pain as Void started stitching him up. Void worked fast and professionally. Trying to reduce the amount of pain for Zero but it didn't seem to help much. Once Void was done Zero collapsed again and this time he wasn't going to be waking up anytime soon.

In Zero's head

Zero blinked several times. The pain was gone. No weird shit happening other than him being on clouds. That part was strange. Was he dead? No he couldn't be. Right? Zero got the feeling that this was going to happen a lot in his future.

He heard a ringing voice in his head. He wasn't sure who it was but he couldn't understand it either. But he felt like he was where he belonged. Finally he felt normal. For a little bit at least. He watched as everything beneath him collapsed and then he woke up in reality

Back to reality

"Holy shit! Fucking Jesus I seen the most wacky shit right now." Zero woke up yelling.

Void, looking tired glanced at him. "About time you woke up."

Zero tilted his head. "How long was I asleep?"

"About a few days. You almost died." Void answered.

"I'm aware I almost died. I was the gates of heaven for fucks sake!" Zero exclaimed.

"Language." Void said plainly.

Zero cracked a smile. "Who are you now? BadBoyHalo?"

"Who's that?" Void asked.

Zero sighed. "You have so much to learn about this world.

Void shrugged as he ate his cookies. He knew to little about this place. And his powers restrict him from leaving. Not like it matters. Maybe he could possibly make friends here. Guess this is his new life...
