The Next Day

"Scott, you have a meeting with Lizzie today." Lumi said.

"Is she coming here?"

"No, you have to go to her."

"Ughhhhhhhhh."

Scott slowly got up and got dressed.

He flew towards the Ocean Empire. He had a meeting with Lizzie and her family.

When he landed, he saw Lizzie standing on a lily pad that had a shack on it. It was a shack that was made out of dark oak wood and slime.

"What's this?" Scott asked Lizzie.

"It's an embassy my brother made, he's the Cod Father, well going to be, and he built this in my empire to show people our alliance." Lizzie said, laughing at Scott's confused face, "My brother's coming for the meeting too, he's just late... as always." This time it was Scott's turn to laugh.

"Hey! That's rude!" Jimmy said, emerging from the water.

"Sorry bro, but I had to introduce you somehow." Lizzie shrugged.

Scott noticed that Jimmy wasn't wearing his cod head but didn't think much of it.

"We've already met." Scott said, blushing.

"Oh! Well, anyway, come up here Jimmy. We wanted to meet you Scott to see if we could be an alliance."

Scott looked surprised and said, "What about the Friendship Agreement?"

"What's the Friendship Agreement?" Jimmy asked.

"Well, since I'm in an alliance with fWhip, and the cod and salmon war is going on, I don't think I can be in an alliance with you guys, hang out with you, or even end up marrying any of you because of the agreement. I think I could make it so we could hang out, but I would have to talk with fWhip and see where the war is at. He's very picky about who his friends hang out with, and this war has been the only thing he talks about."

Scott looked up and saw that Jimmy looked heartbroken, but he didn't know why.

"Oh... I'm sorry for bringing you out here then." Lizzie said.

"It's okay, I'm glad we cleared that up. Bye!" Scott said, while getting up for flying.

But just as he stretched his wings out, he heard Jimmy yelp.

"What! What's wrong!"

"You-you- you have horns?!"

Scott looked into the water and said, "Haven't they been there?"

Jimmy and Lizzie shook their heads.

"They just popped up when you spread out your wings." Lizzie said.

Scott started freaking out, "Oh no, no, no, no, no."

"Is that a bad thing?" Jimmy asked.

"Lizzie, can I borrow your owl?"

Lizzie nodded and ran up to her palace to grab her owl, quill, and parchment. That left Jimmy and Scott, once again, alone.

"I'm sorry we can't be in an alliance." Scott said.

"No, it's alright. I didn't think about the war." Jimmy chuckled lightly.

Scott looked up at Jimmy who looked like they were about to cry.

"Are you alright, you don't look okay." Scott said.

"I'm- I'm alright. I just... I can't live my dream, if that makes sense."

"Oh... I'm sorry."

Jimmy shook his head, "Don't worry about-"

Jimmy was cut off because Scott walked up and pulled Jimmy into a tight hug.

Jimmy blushed but hugged back.

"Aww! You guys are so cute!!" Lizzie squealed.

Scott and Jimmy immediately broke apart.

"Here Scott." Lizzie handed him some paper and a quill, her owl perched on her shoulder.

"Thanks Lizzie." Scott scribbled down a note that said,

'Katherine, come to my empire, if I'm not home yet, don't worry I'll be back a bit after you arrive.

-Scott'

Then he rolled the letter up, handed it to the owl, and it took off towards House Blossom.

"I should really be heading home now."

"Okay, let's head up to my palace so then you can take off there."

Scott nodded and followed Lizzie. Leaving Jimmy standing there.

"So, are you making a move on my brother?" Lizzie asked.

"What!? No!" Scott said, blushing.

"Mhm. He's been talking about you non-stop. It's actually been getting kind of annoying."

"What does he say about me?"

"If you don't like him, why would you want to know?"

Scott shut up and then took off on the balcony.

He was so caught up in Jimmy that he completely forgot about Xornoth until he arrived home.

He folded his wings in and like magic, his horns disappeared. I guess they only appear when I fly. Scott thought.

"Scott! What did you need me for? Is everything okay?" Katherine asked, running up to him.

"What? Oh! Right! Come on, let's head up to my room."

Katherine was concerned but followed her bestie upstairs. Once he closed the door and sat down, he sighed.

"Is it something about Jimmy?"

"No, I mean... I spoke with him, and I think he likes me back, but that's not why I called you here."

Katherine hugged Scott and he hugged back.

"What's wrong?"

"Do you remember when we found that book and we read it?"

"Yeah, that was a pretty big day."

"Well, based on what the book said, it means that I was Eleanor in a past life and I would remember my past when I am needed to get rid of the corruption, or stop Xornoth."

Katherine nodded.

"But I haven't seen much corruption, and if I have, it was easy to get rid of, so is the dragon holding him back? The dragon is stronger than him, but if we kill the dragon, then Xornoth will be at full power, and he could end up destroying the world."

Katherine was silent, then, "We have to stop everyone from killing the dragon."

"But do you think that's going to be soon? I mean, we might not ever kill the dragon, then we'll be fine!" Scott started laughing, but then tears started streaming down his face.

"Scott, Scott. Hey, it's going to be okay."

"No, it's not! I'm going to let down my whole kingdom, I've already let down my family."

"How's that?"

"I'M GAY KATHERINE! MY PARENTS TOLD ME NOT TO FAIL THEM AND TO MARRY YOU, AND YET I DON'T EVEN LOVE YOU LIKE THAT! I LOVE JIMMY!" Just then the door opened. Scott and Katherine looked over, Scott expecting to see Lumi, but instead they saw... "Dad?!" Scott shouted. His dad was standing in his doorway, shock filled his face. "Katherine, will you please head back home? I'll have one of our guards escort you there."

Katherine looked from Scott, then his dad, then Scott again, then his dad.

Finally she said, "No I-"

Scott cut her off, "Please... I don't want to get in trouble. Leave." He whispered. Katherine took a deep breath, then nodded.

"Lumi! Please lead Katherine to Wil, he will escort her home." Scott's dad said. Lumi nodded and walked out, Katherine following.

Scott's dad closed the door then sat down next to Scott. "Please... just get it over with. I know you hate me; I know I failed you." Scott was sobbing at this point.

"Scott, why didn't you ever tell us you loved Jimmy?" His dad asked in a soft voice.

Scott paused. What? He looked to his dad and saw a kind, smiling face staring back at him. He hugged his dad and resumed crying.

"I'm sorry we put so much pressure on you. Me and your mom realized a year after we told you to marry Katherine that it was a lot of pressure to put on you and when we did that to your brother, he did everything he could to make sure that he didn't have to do that and well... left."

Scott nodded but didn't say anything.

"We can cancel the marriage with Katherine, and you can stop hanging out with her if you please."

"No! She's my best friend! I don't want to lose her."

"Okay, it's okay. Do you want to marry Jimmy?"

"But the agreement, I can't."

"I'm sure I can talk to Bryce about the agreement. Now, is that all you wanted to talk about?"

"I was talking to Katherine about... Xornoth."

His dad seemed taken aback.

"I guess it is time that we told you about your brother."

"I already know. He's a god, I'm a god. I was Eleanor in a past life and I've been told about my past to stop the corruption."

His dad sighed. "You were bound to find out at some point."

"You knew?!"

"Of course, I knew, Aeor asked if he could pass on to you, and me and your mother agreed. We were so delighted that you were blessed by Aeor. He asked us, though, to not tell you, and to wait until you find out. He said you would know your past when the time is right. But when your brother left that night, Aeor said that you will find your past soon. We thought he meant in a couple months, not eleven years."

Scott nodded then got up. "I have something to show you."

His dad watched him as he summoned his wings and gold deer horns. His dad's mouth dropped to the floor.

"I'm going to stay at Katherine's for the night. I need to clear my head."

"You're just the man I want you to be." His dad said, grabbing his shoulders. "I want you to be happy, and if that means you like Jimmy, so be it."

Scott smiled and took off towards Katherine's.
