Scott's Perspective

Scott woke up in a cold sweat.

Why is it so cold? Scott asked himself.

He looked down and had a sigh of relief, the crystal was still there, but it didn't explain the cold.

Scott got up and looked out his window.

Ice spikes were spread all around the kingdom, along with lots of snow.

"Lumi!"

Lumi walked into Scott's room.

"Yes?"

"Can you hide this in the meeting room? Make sure no one sees you." Scott said, handing Lumi Xornoth's crystal.

Lumi nodded and walked outside.

After Lumi left, Scott quickly grabbed his coat and ran outside.

This is more snow than we usually get. And how did this form? Scott pocked one of the ice spikes.

"Scott!"

Scott turned around to see Gem running towards him.

"What are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to check if you had the... what happened to your eyes?"

"What do you mean?" Scott asked, concerned.

"You-you're eyes, they're like an icy blue. It's a nice color, but it's different."

"What do you mean they're a different color?!" Scott started panicking.

"Here." Gem grabbed her wand, and made a small mirror appear.

"See?"

Scott walked up to the mirror.

"I can't believe it."

"Yeah I know-"

"I've been causing all of these spikes and snow. I... I caused all of this."

Gem despawned the mirror.

"Really? Show me!" Gem grabbed a bucket of water, dug a small hole, and filled it with water.

Scott sighed but froze the water.

"Woah!" Gem looked closely at the water.

"Now can you unfreeze it?" She asked.

"Gem, I can freeze things easily, I've got that down... but unfreezing... I don't think I can."

"Try."

Scott took a deep breath and focused on the water.

But nothing happened.

"I can't Gem-"

"Just try."

Again, nothing happened.

"Gem, I- I can't." Scott's voice started shaking.

"Try Scott."

"No, I can't."

"Try."

"GEM ENOUGH!" Scott shouted.

A white light flashed in Scott's eyes.

When he opened them, he saw that Gem got trapped in an ice closer.

"Scott, Scott it's okay." She said, though her face showed that she was about as worried as Scott.

Scott started backing away, shaking his head, "No, no. I- I..."

Scott ran into his house, slamming the door behind him and locking it.

Of course. Scott thought, his breath rushing. All I do is hurt people. I need to leave.

Scott ran up to his room, locked that door too, and then started taking his Rivendell armor off.

He threw on a normal coat and heard Gem break his ice.

Hurry! He shouted at himself.

He grabbed his emergency shulker box and looked at it.

Bed, food, wood, clothes, rockets... I think that's everything.

Scott got up and looked at himself in the mirror.

Gem burst through his front door and ran up to his room.

"Scott! Please, open up. I don't want to hurt you."

Scott scoffed, "Says the woman who burst through my front door."

"I won't break this one too unless you open it."

Scott was silent. He was looking at his crown.

"One..." Gem started to count.

I'm not fit to wear this. This was designed for a ruler who could lead his people, a ruler who could protect his empire. But... that's not me...

"Two..."

Scott put his crown on the armor stand and grabbed the shulker box.

"THREE!"

Gem burst through the door, wand at the ready.

Scott was already outside on his balcony.

He was about to fly off when Gem grabbed his wrist.

"Scott. It's okay! I'm okay!"

"No, you're not! Look at your hair! There's a white streak in it! I did that!" Scott shouted, tears falling.

"But... you can't leave." Gem looked at his crown.

Scott yanked his hand back and flew off.

"SCOTT!" Gem shouted, but Scott didn't turn around.

He took off flying towards a random direction.

This should be good. Scott thought.

He just finished building a little wood hut. He didn't know where he was, but he belonged there.

There were natural snow sculptures and snow everywhere.

Scott walked inside his home and sighed.

There. This will be good. Scott smiled.

Then he sighed, Who am I kidding? Then he started crying.
