This chapter is Jimmy's perspective after the chapter The Dinner Meeting (there will be repeated lines from the last chapter)

Jimmy got up; his face wet from tears.

Something's up with Scott and he doesn't trust any of us. Jimmy thought. Well, I've heard that he's close with Katherine. I'll talk with her.

Jimmy got dressed and strapped on his elytra.

He started running through the village, saying a quick 'hello' to the cods before taking off for House Blossom.

I think it's near Shelby's.

Jimmy kept an eye out for an open flower field.

After passing the Overgrown, he landed outside of House Blossom's castle.

To his surprise, right as he landed, the door opened.

"Hello!" Jimmy said, "Is Katherine here?"

The houseworker nodded and said, "Princess Katherine is in her room, please come in."

Jimmy walked in, closing the door behind him, and watched the houseworker walk away.

Jimmy looked around. There are so many heads around here.

Then the houseworker came back, "Sir Jimmy, please follow me."

"Okay, er... what's your name?" Jimmy asked, sheepishly.

"It's Erica, sir."

"Thanks Erica!"

Jimmy followed Erica to the dining room and sat down at the table.

"Would you like anything to drink? Water, tea...?"

"Tea, please."

Erica nodded and started working in the kitchen.

Soon, Katherine walked out.

"Hi, Jimmy! What's up?"

"I was wondering... have you heard from Scott? I mean, did he tell you anything about Eleanor or Xornoth?"

Katherine turned red then said, "No, we... we kind of, maybe, got in an argument."

"What?!" Jimmy shouted, "So, you don't know anything about Eleanor?"

Katherine hesitated then shook her head.

"Are you telling the truth?"

Katherine again hesitated, but then she nodded.

"It's fine if you do know. I'm going to try to talk to him later." Jimmy said, getting up.

"No!" Katherine said.

Jimmy turned around.

"I mean... just... he might not be in the right mind set, so try not to push him."

"Thanks, Katherine." Then Jimmy left.

He landed back in his kingdom and sighed.

He took off his elytra and put it in his pocket.

"Are you okay, Jimmy?" His mom asked.

"Yeah! I'm just going to walk around the village and check in on things."

"Okay."

Jimmy walked back outside and walked around in the village.

Even though he said he was going to check with the villagers, he really just tried to calm his mind.

How am I supposed to ask Scott out? Jimmy thought, I heard he's going to marry Katherine, so he's obviously straight.

Jimmy turned around and saw Scott.

Scott? What's he doing here?

Jimmy saw Scott crouching down near one of the ponds.

Is he looking at the cod? He seems very interested in them.

Jimmy saw Scott about to reach his hand in the pond.

He might scare the cod.

"Scott? What are you doing here?" Jimmy asked, running up to Scott.

He heard Scott mutter something under his breath.

"What did you say?" Jimmy asked, crouching down next to Scott.

"Nothing."

"Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"I... I was just flying around and decided to stop here. I needed to get my mind off things."

Jimmy nodded, "Do you want to talk about what happened at the meeting?"

Scott stayed silent.

I bet that was too sudden. I'm such an idiot.

"You don't have to if you don't want to." Jimmy added quickly.

Scott looked at Jimmy, "No, I... I should tell you what's going on. I have no one else to really talk to."

Maybe he would like a hug.

Jimmy wrapped his arm around Scott.

Scott flinched, but then leaned his head on Jimmy's shoulder.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. Keep calm, Jimmy.

"Thanks." Scott said, "But whatever I tell you, please, promise me you won't tell anyone."

"I won't." Jimmy said, "But do you want to fly somewhere else that's more... private?"

"Sure."

Scott and Jimmy got up and Jimmy strapped on elytra.

"Follow me." Jimmy said, grabbing Scott's hand and started flying.

Scott folded out his wings and flew off after Jimmy.

I can't believe this is happening.

After a while, Jimmy and Scott landed.

Scott looked around and saw that Jimmy had led them to a pretty flower forest, not far from House Blossom.

Jimmy sat down next to a pond near the flower field, and patted the ground next to him, signaling Scott to sit down.

Scott sat down and rested his head on Jimmy's shoulder again.

Jimmy rubbed Scott's back and said, "Would you want to start by telling me who Eleanor is?"

Scott took a deep breath and nodded, "It's going to be a lot. Tell me when you want me to stop or don't understand, and I'll do my best to explain."

Then Scott started explaining everything about Xornoth being his brother, how he's a god and is supposed to stop the corruption, and about his dream.

His brother is Xornoth?! And he's a god... Scott's a god... Scott's a god.

At the end, Scott took a deep breath and sighed.

"I'm sorry, you probably don't understand anything I was saying."

"I'm really shocked at the fact that you're a god and Xornoth is your brother, but... if it makes you feel better..." Jimmy trailed off.

"Yeah?"

"I had a similar dream to yours. The dark room thing and remembering things."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but mine wasn't about me being in past memories. I was seeing and hearing things. Stuff like, 'We're flower husbands!' and 'I love you, petal.'"

I hope Scott doesn't think this is cringy and stupid.

"I also saw things like rings, one gold, one silver, then a poppy, two guys kissing in a flower field, and another version of me. It was me, just wearing different clothes. He also had the silver ring on from earlier. When I asked him who he proposed to, he just said 'petal'. I don't even know who 'petal' is."

Jimmy finished and stared at Scott, waiting for him to talk.

It's been about a minute, and he still hasn't spoken, Jimmy looked at Scott, who looked dazed, Is he okay?

"Scott? Are you okay? You've been silent for a long time."

"Sorry! I... had similar dream to yours."

"But you didn't mention it?"

Is it something with flower husbands?

"I was worried that you wouldn't understand." Scott said, looking at his feet.

"So, was yours about flower husbands?"

"Yeah, but it was like the one with Xornoth. I was actually there, it felt real."

"What was your like?"

"This is going to sound crazy, but I showed up in a flower forest and you ran up to me, you know the other you."

Jimmy nodded, dying with curiosity.

"You ran over and hugged me, calling me 'petal' and kissing me on my forehead. When I told him I didn't know where I was or who he was, he told me he was Jimmy and that he proposed to me. That we've been through everything together. And then he started crying..."

Scott trailed off.

Jimmy was silent.

Scott's 'petal'?! Scott's my soulmate?! I can't believe it. This is the best day of my life.

"I'm sorry, I'm just dragging you into my problems." Scott said, getting up.

"No, it's okay!" Jimmy said, also getting up.

"No, it's not! I'm just putting you in danger and making you worry about me." Scott spread out his wings, ready to take off.

"Wait! Scott please, wait." Jimmy said, grabbing Scott's hand and making Scott look at him.

"LET ME GO! NOTHING YOU CAN DO IS GOING TO MAKE ME FORGIVE MYSELF!" Scott shouted.

"Why?! Why is it like that?!" Jimmy shouted back.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU JIMMY!" Scott shouted, then he yanked his hand back, and flew off.

"SCOTT!"

Jimmy stood there, watching Scott fly away.

"Please... no..." Jimmy whispered, and he started to cry.

It's all my fault. Now he hates me.

Jimmy fell to the ground, crying.

He had felt a pain that he had never felt before. Heartbreak. Right when he found out that Scott liked him, Scott left. Just like that.

"Jimmy?"

Jimmy looked up and saw Katherine staring at him, looking worried.

"Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Katherine walked up to him, helping him up.

"How much did you hear?" Jimmy asked, wiping his eyes.

"I was walking around the forest, looking for a flower that the shop ran out of, and I heard Scott shout that he loved you and you shouting his name."

Jimmy sighed, and Katherine hugged him.

"I messed up. He hates me now." Jimmy sobbed.

"No, he doesn't. It'll be okay." Katherine said in a soft tone.

"No! It won't! He thinks he put me in danger and is taking it out on himself. I want to help him, but I know that he hates me."

"He doesn't hate you. Based on the way he acted around you; he's doing this because he loves you."

Jimmy looked up at her, "You really think so?"

"Did you hear him shout that he loves you?"

"But..." Jimmy sighed again, "We'll never get together the way things are going now."

Katherine didn't say anything and then she stood up, "Come on, we're going to fly to Lizzie's."

"Why?"

"Well, one, she's your sister. And two, she knows way more about you than I do. And if it makes you feel better, I'll go and talk to Scott."

"But you guys are fighting."

"Well, it was my fault we got in a fight, so I'll make up to him, and help him out. He won't be able to hide from me for long." Katherine winked.

"I guess," Jimmy said, and he followed Katherine to Lizzie's.

"What are you guys doing here?" Lizzie asked, running up to them on the lily-pad that they landed on.

"Jimmy needs your help. I caught him right outside of House Blossom crying." Katherine said.

"Why were you crying?" Lizzie looked at Jimmy.

Jimmy looked at the ground. Oh god, now she's going to get mad at Scott. She's so overprotective.

"Jimmy. What happened?" Lizzie asked again, looking sternly at Jimmy.

"Welp! I gotta go, bye!" Katherine said, flying off.

No! Don't leave me! ...ugh. Jimmy sighed, watching Katherine fly towards Rivendell.

Jimmy and Lizzie stood in silence.

Jimmy felt the tears run down his face again.

"Oh Jimmy. Come here." Lizzie hugged Jimmy tightly.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Scott. He hates me." Jimmy whispered.

"Don't make me laugh. He loves you."

Jimmy shook his head.

"I tried to talk to him about what happened at the meeting. I was able to get information out of him, but at the end, he told me that he put me in danger, and he tried to fly off, but I grabbed his hand. He said that nothing I did would make him forgive himself. When I asked him why, he said that he loved me. Then he flew off."

"I told you he loves you."

"But he hates me now."

"He only hates you because he loves you."

"That's what Katherine said. But I know that even if he does love me, I don't have a chance. He's probably going to avoid me or forget anything that happened."

Lizzie was silent for a moment.

"What information did you get?" she asked, breaking apart from the hug.

"He made me promise not to tell anyone."

"Come on." Lizzie said, grabbing Jimmy's hand and leading him up towards her palace.

"Where are we going?"

"You're staying here for tonight."

"Nooo, I want to go home."

"This is your home!" Lizzie laughed.

Jimmy swore under his breath but then followed Lizzie up to her palace.
