A Poppy by The Name of Jimmy
Scott woke up.
He looked around, he was back in House Blossom.
The only way of what?!
Scott panicked. He was about to find the answer, but he woke up. Scott punched the pillows and got up. He was going to head back to Rivendell, he needed to tell his parents about Xornoth.
He got dressed, still thinking about what had happened the night before.
I met Xornoth as I remember him before he left. Not the demon he is now, dripping in venom. I saw him as the kind one who helped me and stuck with me through anything.
Scott flew off to Rivendell and walked into his palace to be greeted by a set of worried parents and a sad Lumi.
Scott was immediately tackled by his mom, who was crying and asking him if he was okay.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Yes, they killed the dragon, no I didn't help them, and yes Xornoth is back. He's at full power."
His mom and dad looked down to the floor.
"He's going to be doing worse things now, and I don't think there's a way to stop him." Scott said.
Everyone was silent except for his mom who was trying to catch her breath.
"I'm going to head up to my room." Scott said.
"Oh, yes. Scott there has been an owl with a message who's been waiting patiently for your return." Lumi said.
"Thanks Lumi." Scott said, heading up towards his room.
Once he walked in, he closed the door and walked over to the owl, who hooted in delight.
Scott picked up the message and read it,
Hello dear brother,
It's been a while. I'm sure you've heard the fantastic news of my arrival! I will help create fond memories with you while I'm here. Say hi to mum and dad for me!
Much love,
Xornoth.
Scott re-read the letter over and over. The ink used on the letter looked as if Xornoth had wrote it with blood.
Xornoth?! How... why... what's going to happen now?
Scott was panicking, he didn't know what to do. I just got home, why can't I calm down for a second about my brother?!
Then Scott remembered his dream. Maybe it has the answer. Maybe... remembering my past life. Something with Jimmy, and flower husbands, and... what did Jimmy say... 3rd life? I've never heard of that.
Scott decided to fly over to Gem's and ask her if she knew anything about a place called 3rd life. He would go to Katherine's first, but she was off visiting Sausage today.
Scott had to fly all around Crystal Cliffs to find Gem. She was sitting on top of her palace by what looked like... a nest? Scott landed next to her, and she screamed.
"Give me some kind of warning next time!" She shouted at him.
"Sorry, I just... what's with the nest?"
"Oh! Yeah. Well, remember when I grabbed the egg? I put it in a kind of nest, but it's surrounded by fire for the dragon. Since it's used to warm weather and needs that to hatch."
Scott looked around, there were books about dragons scattered around where Gem was sitting. There were also pillows and blankets.
"Have you been sleeping here?" Scott asked.
Gem nodded, "I want to be by the egg as much as I can, but I've gotten really tired, and have fallen behind in things I want/need to do. I also haven't had a chance to try and search for the book I told you about.
Gem looked at the egg then said, "Did you come here for something?"
"I wanted to ask you if you've heard of a place called 3rd life?"
Gem thought for a moment and then shook her head, "I'm sorry, Scott. But I have no idea what that is. Why?"
"No reason." Scott said, "And you said that you haven't been looking for the book, but if you remember where it is, I can search for it."
"I can show you! Just give me a couple of minutes, I need to shower and change clothes. Do you mind watching the egg?"
Scott nodded and Gem walked back inside her house.
Scott sat down on her pillows and picked up one of the books.
'Dragon eggs are very delicate. Many lives have been taken when trying to raise dragons. To raise your dragon, you have to introduce yourself to it. If you're raising your dragon for battle, you have to read books aloud that are about fighting. If you need your dragon for protecting, you need to tell your dragon what you need it to protect and do. All dragons respond differently, but if raised correctly, they will respond to you and your needs.'
Scott looked up at the egg, "Gem... what are you going to do with this egg. It probably won't even hatch." Scott muttered to himself.
He stood up, deciding that he should help clean Gem's space up. There were so many books scattered around, he was sure that she had gathered every book about dragons.
Scott started sorting the books into piles, but Gem walked outside in the middle of him doing that.
"What are you doing?" Gem asked, putting on her elytra.
"I was just sorting your books."
"Aww! Thanks!" Gem said, "Now come on, follow me. I'm going to go fast so I can get back to my egg soon."
"Why don't you ask someone to watch it?"
Gem paused, "The egg... I don't trust many people with it."
"What about your family?"
"I don't want them to watch the egg. They already have so much going on with trying to protect the kingdoms with magic that the egg might be too much. You have to be by it as much as you can before it hatches."
Scott nodded.
"Come on, let's go."
Gem jumped off the tower, and rocketed off north, Scott flying close behind her. Luckily, since Gem was infront, she didn't notice Scott's antlers.

Gem and Scott landed in front of a cave.
"Follow me," Gem said, pulling out some torches.
Scott folded in his wings, his horns disappearing, and followed Gem into the cave.
After a while, she stopped at a door and opened it. There was a whole tower full of books. One table sat in the middle of four different paths of bookshelves. At the end of each path, a lectern stood with two trapdoors on either side of it.
"Here's a clock, don't get lost on your way back home. And remember where this place is for next time you want to come here."
Scott nodded as Gem handed him a clock.
"If there are any books about dragons, please give them to me." Gem said, "And if you need any help, tell me, and I'll come help." Then she turned and left.
Scott stood in silence, looking around, taking it all in. There was glass, letting sunlight settle on the table, in the top center of the tower.
He walked over to one of the lecterns and opened the book.
It's in Elvish?! Scott thought. Why is this in Elvish language?
Scott picked up another book from the nearby bookshelf.
This is in Elvish too!
Scott picked up several books and looked at them.
They're all in Elvish! Scott smiled; I've never seen so many books in Elvish language! This is amazing!
Scott sat down with his stack of books and started reading.
Just one thing about twins or demons, or 3rd life.

Four Hours Later
Scott looked at his clock,
"6 pm?! I'm gonna be late for my dinner meeting!" Scott shouted, getting up.
I have to take at least one book home with me. Please Aeor, let me find the right book.
Scott looked around for a minute then sighed.
He got up and started putting some of the books back. He dropped one of the books and it hit one of the trapdoors next to one of the lecterns, opening it.
Scott bent down, picked up the book, and was about to close the trapdoor when he paused,
It looked like the trapdoor was hiding a path that led to somewhere.
Scott crawled over to the other trapdoor and opened it, that one led to nowhere.
Scott smiled, he walked back over to the trapdoor and looked at it. Scott crawled into the hole and ended up finding a small room.
Scott stood up. There was a lonely book on a lectern.
What's with all of the ominous books? Scott thought.
Scott walked up to the book, picked up and put it in his pocket. He didn't have any time to read it then, he had to go back home for a dinner meeting he had with the other emperors.
Scott crawled out of the hole, closed the trapdoor, and flew off towards Mezalea.
