After I ate my food, I got ready for bed. Soon after, it was 7:42 PM, which meant I had a lot of time left before my actual bedtime. I surfed the web for 10 minutes and stopped when I remembered what happened today. ‘Maybe I should see if I have some sort of disease. It’s no coincidence that the shock happened twice in the same day,’ I thought to myself.

I picked up my phone and went to Google. My fingers typed as fast as they could without messing up my spelling. I was very eager to find out what’s been going on. I clicked the magnifying glass in the corner of the search bar and waited for the results. As I expected, nothing piqued my interest. I scrolled through several pages of useless ads and random websites until I stopped at one. 

'Hm. This looks like it could help me.'

I clicked on the link and read through an article aloud. "'Children develop inhuman abilities, parents suspect environment could be the cause'? I guess this is accurate," I spoke to myself. This sounded like an over exaggerated statement about Karen being upset that her child is double jointed, but this is my only choice. It took me about 15 minutes to read the whole thing, and it left me satisfied.

It turns out some blackout happened in 1983 and triggered a change in human genetics somehow. It didn't explain in depth, but I have more information to rely on. I typed '1983 blackout' in the search bar and found millions of pieces of information. 'I'll save this for tomorrow,' I thought as I closed out of Google. I cuddled up in my thick and furry blankets and slept like a baby for the rest of the night.
