I grab the ice cream from the fridge, blankets from the couch, a bunch of movies and a big spoon.

I walk up the stairs, trying to balance everything.

Fionna's lying on the bed with a grey oversized shirt and her blue and green plaid night pants.

"You really liked her that much?" I ask, setting the blankets down on the bed.

"Yes! I did!" she spat.

I sighed.

"Im sorry" she said shakily.

"Its fine" I say and walk over to her. I tapped her shoulder.

She turned around and I held out the spoon. She took it gently.

I gave her the rainbow sherbet ice cream.

She took it and popped off the top.

"Thank you. You didn't have to come over you know" she said.

"I know. I wanted to" I smile.

She smiled sadly and took a bite.

"We have school tomorrow" I say quietly and sit down.

"I know" she says with a mouthful of ice cream.

"You think you'll be okay? I mean you have a class with...her..."

"I really don't know if i'll be okay" she says.

I look away.

"Well if you need me i'll be there..."

"Thanks" she smiles.

I open the door and step into my house. The first thing I hear is yelling.

I sigh. Why don't they just break up already?

"WELL YOU'RE FUCKED UP AND SO IS YOUR DAUGHTER!" Jake yells.

I hear a sob and I stomp into the other room.

"IF YOU'RE SO UNHAPPY PACK YOUR SHIT AND LEAVE!" I yell at Jake.

He turns to me with the angriest look I've ever seen.

Pepper pushes me behind her.

"You're not staying here tonight" she says and crosses her arms.

"Don't tell me what I'm going to do and not do."

"Leave."

He walks over and slaps her. I push him back hard.

He falls back against the door.

"You don't touch her" I say angrily.

I start kicking him repeatedly and he keeps grabbing at my leg.

Pepper opens the door and throws most of his stuff out.

He gets up and dusts himself off. "Fine. I'll leave."

He looks at me with a glare.

"And if you ever kick me again you little bastard-"

I punch him and he grabs his cheek. I push him out and slam the door.

Pepper locks it quickly.

She sighs and leans against the wall next to the door.

"You let me take care of that next time okay?" she says quietly.

I shake my head.

"I'll take care of it."
