How It Should Have Happened Part 27
After a couple of weeks of the Louds sealing Lynn's fate...Lucy was walking down the sidewalk hoping for some inspiration. She needed to prove that she deserved to be trusted by her brother again. Especially since Lynn managed to send him to the hospital all because she couldn't handle reality.
"Sigh..I wish I knew what to write." Lucy said before she bumped into Haiku. Haiku is her best friend, but has stayed away from her due to her own actions. Actions that she deeply regretted since she should've known better.
"Sorry about that Haiku." Lucy said.
"It's alright. What are you doing here?" Haiku said.
"Just seeking some inspiration to show Lincoln that I can be forgiven." Lucy said.
"You're really regret what you did...don't you?" Haiku said.
"Yes. I knew what Lynn was like yet...I foolishly followed her words without question." Lucy said.
"That was quite a mistake on your part. You can fix yours, but your sister...." Haiku started to say before Lucy interrupted her.
"I know. Her soul is darker than anything that we've ever seen. She will never be forgiven until she can see the error of her ways." Lucy said.
"Well, at least we can argue on something. Now come on, we have a poem to write..." Haiku said.
"Wait? You're helping me?" Lucy asked.
"Why not? You see your mistake and are trying to correct it. You need all of the help that you can get in order to help regain your brother's forgiveness." Haiku said. Lucy gave a little smirk before following Haiku while Rita walked into the house with her husband. It has been some time since they went in to talk about Lynn's punishment and now she had to deliver the news to the rest of her family.
"Mom? You're back already?" Rita heard Luna say.
"Yes. We had a talk about Lynn's punishment and reached an agreement. Your sister will be in juvie for 1 year where she can get some therapy and once she gets out...she will be taken to a strict boarding school." Rita said.
"Wow. That's kinda...." Luna started to say before Rita continued.
"I know, but she almost killed your brother for some kind of revenge. If we go easy on her then this behavior will continue until she eventually faces serious jail time." Rita said. She can imagine her daughter beating up someone for a petty reason and ending up in jail. It was too easy to picture due to her latest action against her brother. Ugh. She should've done something sooner, but the fame and recognization blinded her.
At the same time, Luna was silent. The punishment was harsh, but there is a chance that she could correct...no. Luna knew that her sister wouldn't change after a year. She hardly changed after the CPS came and turned all of their lives upside down. So what would make this any different? As she watched her mother struggle with her emotions, she wondered if her sister will ever be redeemed by any traditional means.
Only time will tell if it was still possible.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
