If you don't know what Mary Sues are, they're basically characters that have no flaws and do everything perfectly and have a perfect life. I HATE these sorts of people. Why are most Narnian OCs perfect and classy but still sexy and nice but funny and sarcastic and everyone likes them and they're badasses in combat but they don't have any scars and if they do it's literally a tiny scratch on their ankle or something. Wtf.

I understand how this happens. I do it too sometimes. I make my characters have everything I want to have, which isn't realistic. Take a look at yourself, and list your strengths and your weaknesses. Heck, do it in the comment section here if you want. Now think: "Which of my weaknesses or strengths would I give this character?" You can do it with anyone's strengths or weaknesses. Just make sure the character is flecking realistic!
