Teenage Dream

You make me feel like I'm livin' a
Teenage dream,
The way you turn me on.
I can't sleep,
Let's run away and don't ever look back,
Don't ever look back

~Katy Perry

Edd

"If you don't get your asses on the bus, I'm leaving you here!" Nathan yelled, his cheeks red and his brows furrowed as he stood on the rooftop deck glaring at all of our friends. Marie made no move to get out of the hot tub. "Leave me here, I don't mind," she sighed contently, sinking up to her neck in the bubbles. Nazz fought an amused smile as she lightly scolded, "It's been fun sweetheart, but it's time to go home!" Marie pouted and let her head fall back while my boyfriend stretched out lazily in a deck chair. His skin had gained a golden glow to it in our weeks here on the beach, and with the cinnamon sprinklings of freckles all over his face, shoulders, and arms... I could just eat him up. "Double Delish!" Nathan cried desperately. "Tell them somethin'! Maybe they'll listen to you!" I walked over to Kevin, grabbing his hands and pulling. I easily pulled him into a sitting position before he smirked and yanked me into his lap. "Citrouille! This is highly inappropriate and Nathan is right! It's a 15-hour drive and I would like to go home! You and Marie are holding the rest of us up!" I huffed, squirming in his arms before getting up. "Púuuuuucaaaaa, just five more minutes," he whined, nuzzling into my neck. I turned my head away as he began to kiss and nip his way along my throat. "Nathan, can you guys give me a moment? We'll be down soon," I sighed in exasperation. I heard a sloshing as Nazz pulled Marie out of the hot tub. Nathan frowned at Kevin before rolling his eyes. "Fiiiiine! Be quick about it or I'm leaving you here," he groaned as his footsteps retreated. Kevin grinned cheekily and dug into my hips with a tight squeeze. "We got a few minutes..." he murmured as his hot lips pressed fervently along my neck. I rocked my hips slowly, running my fingers over his shoulders lightly as I ground against him. "Yes we do, and everything is packed," I whispered tauntingly, massaging through his shaggy hair gently as I felt his hardness twitch and throb beneath me. His hands dropped from my hips, running down my thighs as he let out a small moan. As his fingers inched up the inside of the legs of my shorts, I stood abruptly. "If you hurry up, there might be some road head in it for you, circumstances permitting," I taunted as I strolled leisurely to the stairs. He let out a husky whine and I heard the creaking of the lounge chair as he jumped up. "You are sooo not fair," he chuckled as he hurried behind me, his hands secure on my waist. I grabbed the railing to steady myself, glancing over my shoulder at him with a smirk. "I know." He let me go when we reached the ground floor, stepping around me and grabbing our bags that were by the door.

"Fuckin' finally!" Nathan cheered with relief, hanging out of the driver's side window as we came through the front door. Johnny and Ed were hanging out of the back of the Hippie Bus, holding the doors open. "Let's go lover booooys!" Eddy taunted. Kevin hopped in the back and just flopped down on Eddy. I stifled a giggle as I took the bags from him and stuffed them in the luggage compartment. "Get off of me, Block Head!" Eddy huffed. "Move me then, No Neck!" Kevin chuckled, going limp and laying on him with dead weight. "Small Ed-boy, knee 'im in the kidney!" Rolf encouraged. I grabbed Kevin's hands and pulled with a grunt. "Nobody hit anyone please," I sighed. Kevin slid reluctantly into the seat next to Eddy, pulling me down in his lap. I snuggled into him contently, curling my lanky frame up in his lap. Johnny was wedged into the end of the bench between Ed and the back of the front passenger seat where Nazz was sitting, eagerly fiddling with the radio. Nathan turned around in his seat, counting off and mumbling under his breath. He eventually flashed a relieved grin. "Okay, everyone is accounted for, let's hit the road!" The engine roared to life, and just like that, we were on our way home. I stared mournfully out the back windows at the growing space between us and the beach house. Goodbye Florida. Back to Peach Creek...bigoted, small-minded, suffocating Peach Creek, I internally sighed. It was mostly silent, save for the poppy love song playing on the radio...for all of twenty minutes. "Guys, let's go around and everyone say what their favorite part of vacation was!" May exclaimed, followed by several groans. "Mine was the Fall Out Boy concert." There were a few nods and murmurs of agreement. "Going to Disney was my favorite," I murmured with a small smile. "Of course it was," Marie snorted. "I'm surprised he didn't tell us to just leave him there," Eddy chuckled.

"It did cross my mind," I mused with a small smile. I was met with a pout from Kevin. "Púca, you'd leave me? For Disney World?" he asked with mock-hurt. "In a heartbeat, Citrouille" I giggled. His jaw dropped as we were surrounded with laughter and taunting from our friends. His expression of dumbfounded shock quickly twisted into a scowl as I felt his hands attack my waist. I was suddenly squirming and squealing as he tickled me mercilessly. "K-Kevin! St-STAHP!" I shrieked between bouts of laughter as I twisted and jerked in his unyielding hold. His lips brushed my ear, and I could've melted on the spot at his thick-as-honey voice as he whispered, "Take it back and I'll stop." I was halfway on the floor and halfway in his lap, one arm wedged between him and Eddy and my left leg across Sarah and Marie's lap as I folded up like a lawn chair, contorted at the oddest of angles. "O-okay! I ta-take it back!" I panted. He stopped, sitting back in his seat and giving me a smug smile that I wasn't sure if I wanted to kiss or slap right off of his face. Marie shoved my leg playfully. "Personal space, puh-LEASE!" she snorted. I slowly pulled myself back into his lap, and it was my turn to pout. "You are just the worst," I huffed. And you are a child. He wrapped his arms around me in a warm embrace, burying his face in my neck. I began to squirm again. "Stop, that tickles!" I whined weakly, and I was met with another deep laugh. "You love me and you know it," he teased. "Do I? Do I really?" I felt his lips spread into a lazy smile against my skin as he peppered light kisses up and down my neck. "Yeah ya do."

Kevin

I'm not sure when I dozed off, but when I woke up, I knew that it was dark out, and the van was making a loud prrrtTHUNKprrrtTHUNKprrrt CRECHHHHH as we wobbled and bounced along an empty stretch of highway. Bodies jostled and bags fell as we all were tossed around on top of one another. Tired groans and exclamations of surprise and anger filled the back seats. "What the fuck Nat?!" May cried. "Goddammit!" Johnny shouted as he was jerked awake. Nat screeched like a banshee, "Will you all SHUT THE HELL UP!?!?" The van moved unevenly and gradually slowed to a brrtDUNbrrtDUNbrrtDUN...DUN...DUN until we were parked on the side of the highway.   "It's a blowout, everyone chill the fuck out," I grumbled, shifting around and tightening my grip on Double D. "Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear," he whined softly. "It'll be alright," I murmured as I carefully moved him out of my lap and got up. I hopped out of the back of the bus with Marie to assess the damage. "Yo Nat! You got a spare?" Eddy yelled, hanging off of the door. "Yeah," he sighed as he got out, trying not to get hit by traffic as he made his way to the back end of the bus.

"Choice! Then it's just an easy fix," I assured everyone else, poking my head into the back with a grin. "Easy fix my ass," Marie huffed as she rummaged around in one of the compartments in the back of the Hippie Bus. "Where in the hell are all your tools, Nat? A four-way, a jack...you don't have none of that shit!" Nat shrunk back as all eyes were on him. "...tools? You're supposed to pack tools?" He was met with a chorus of groans and curses. "Nathan, of course you need tools! An emergency kit, the basics. Every person should keep a jack, a tire iron, a spare tire, a flashlight, and jumper cables AT THE LEAST!" Double D sighed in exasperation. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry, I didn't know!" he squealed helplessly. "Welp, here we go," Marie sighed, leaning in the back and grabbing her wallet out of one of the bags. "Wh-what are you doing?" I asked. She looked at me like I was a total idiot. "You and me are gonna take a little walk, Block Head. There's a gas station a couple miles back, I think there was a shop attached to it. And since we're stuck in the middle of BUM FUCK NOWHERE, HICKSVILLE, USA, I think it's our best bet," she explained as she started walking.

"I see, I see," I murmured. "You guys be safe," Double D pleaded. "Of course," I promised. I leaned over and kissed him quickly. "See ya soon Dork." He smiled, but his eyes were full of concern. Typical Double D, always worried about everything. "Let's goooo, Slow Poke!" Marie shouted. I jogged to catch up to her. The more distance put between us and the bus made me anxious. I didn't like being stuck somewhere unfamiliar; I didn't like feeling unprepared and ill- equipped. I especially didn't like that bad luck decided to hit us at night. I think I kinda understand why D's so... neurotic. I hate the way this feels. Is this how he feels all the time? Like everything is a crisis or a problem that needs to have a plan A, B, & C? Jesus, it's a terrible feeling. You can't ever be caught off guard though if you're prepared for everything, so maybe he's onto something. Ugh, why did I have to be the one to walk with her? And why isn't anyone stopping? "Two kids walking down the highway, yeah let's keep drivin'!" Tch, people suck. Whatever happened to some damn kindness or decency? And my fucking feet HURT. Corn field, sugar cane field, another field. Oh! A house! Barn, field, field, field, Dollar General! Shit, it's closed... I miss Double D already, like SO much. I must be REALLY whipped.

"Earth to Block Head! Kevin, you listenin'?" Marie hissed. "Huh? Sorry, I spaced out," I sighed. She looked at me with an unamused scowl and pointed up ahead. "We're almost there." SALVATION! Not even two blocks ahead was a mechanic shop attached to a gas station. A burly, tank of a man in a jumpsuit was outside, leaned against a tow truck as he spoke to a man in a Texaco uniform. "Hey!" Marie called cheerfully, waving as we approached. The man looked her over like a lion sizing up its meal. Fuckin' guys... But you're a guy? But I'm not a goddamn creep! I shook my head, clearing the arguing voices out of my head for now. "What can I do for ya?" the large man drawled as he gave a slow, nicotine-and-coffee-stained smile. Marie visibly shuddered, but she kept her pleasant expression. "We caught a flat a couple miles up the road, and we need a hand." He stood up straight and ran a grease-covered hand through his hair. "It's after hours for me, I was just fixin' to head on home. I miiight be able to help outta the kindness of my own heart," he stalled. He's not cute, he's not funny, and he's already on my nerves. "I got $150 that's all yours if you'll take us back to our vehicle and help us change the tire. I think that's more than generous." His beady eyes darted to me and he gave another crooked smile. Fuckin' skeeze. "Can you help us or not?!" Marie suddenly snapped. "O'course little lady. It ain't a problem at all." He nodded toward the truck. "Climb on in." She gave me a desperate, pleading look, and I hopped in without hesitation, sliding into the middle of the sticky bench seat. Yeah, you're welcome, Marie. Just my luck that I'm stuck wedged against Big, Sweaty, and Country, I thought as he shifted around in the driver's seat, jabbing me with that hamhock he calls an elbow. "Thanks," Marie mouthed, flashing a sheepish smile. Who can stay mad at that face? I shook my head a little. She shouldn't have to thank me for being a decent dude.

It took five minutes to get back to the car and 15 for Judd, the mechanic- Of course his hillbilly ass is named Judd- to change our tire. I begrudgingly handed over my hard-earned savings and allowance. It hurt, but it was so worth it to see that creep nod his head, take the money, and FUCKING LEAVE! The whole group let out a collective sigh of relief as his truck busted a U-ie and his taillights quickly disappeared into the night. "That guy gives me the creeps!" Sarah squealed, her whole body shrinking inward as she cringed. "Ditto," Jimmy chimed. Nazz nodded in agreement, tucking her hair behind her ear "I don't like his vibe at all." Nat hopped in the driver's seat, fidgeting with the mirror and getting comfortable. "Now that we've got that horrible encounter over with...next stop, home!" he cheered, slamming on the gas and sending us speeding back onto the highway. "Yo, Neon Brains!" Eddy jeered, "We'll have to stop for gas like 3 more times before we make it home!" Nat made a gesture like "Yeah yeah yeah" as laughter uproared in the crowded space. Double D curled up in my lap again, and I held him snugly. Home has never sounded so nice. I can't wait to crawl into a bed.
