Chapter 24
Third Person POV
Plan was busy cutting up the carrots when he heard a text notification on his phone. He fished his phone from his pocket and looked at the screen. It was from Mean, asking where he was.
He placed the phone back into his pocket.
After a few minutes, his phone started to ring. The ringtone told him it was Mean calling.
Plan ignored the call. 'Let him stew for a while,' thought Plan.
After the delicious lunch, Saint cleared the table.
Perth refused to let Saint help to wash the dishes because of his bandaged finger. Plan and Perth made quick work of them after which Perth announced that he needed to go out to buy some toiletries. Plan remembered that he needed to buy some as well.
"Do you wanna come along?" Perth asked Saint.
"No, I'm good," said Saint, starting to open his laptop.
As Plan and Perth walked down the hallway, Perth placed his arm around Plan's shoulder and asked, "Tell me the truth, why did you spend lunch hour with Saint and me today?"
"None of your business," said Plan, although he was smiling.
"As your lunch host, I demand to know," said Perth, who was also smiling.
"Still, none of your business," said Plan firmly.
Perth playfully pinned Plan against the corridor wall raising his arms against it. They did not realize that they were just outside the door of Mean's and Plan's unit.
Suddenly the unit door opened and Mean stepped out.
Perth let go of Plan. Plan started to run away. Mean went after him.
"P'Mean! P'Mean!" Perth called out, running after Mean and Plan, "it's my fault! He's not to blame!"
Mean stopped running so suddenly that Perth collided into him.
"Of course, it's all your fault," said Mean, "but I will deal with you later. Now leave me and Plan alone."
Mean's POV
When Plan continued to ignore my text and call, I decided to just go out and buy myself some lunch at the nearest fast food restaurant.
Just as I was turning the door knob, I heard a thud against the wall just outside the door.
When I stepped out to check out the sound, I was shocked to see Perth pinning Plan against the wall. They broke apart looking guilty as hell.
Before I could stop him, Plan started running away.
I went to run after him, with Perth running right behind me, yelling, "P'Mean! It's my fault! He's not to blame!"
I stopped running suddenly, making him collide into me.
"Of course, you are to blame!" I yelled at him, "but I will deal with you later. Now leave me and Plan alone."
I easily caught up with Plan who was trying to use the stairs because the elevator doors had not yet opened.
"Why are you chasing after me?" Plan asked defensively.
"Why are you running away?" I countered.
"Because you think I'm guilty of something, which I am not," he replied.
"Guilty of what?" I countered again.
"Guilty of loving you," he replied.
I looked around. Shit, Perth was standing a few feet away, watching us.
I could not react to Plan's counterattack the way I wanted to because Perth was witnessing my every move.
Then the elevator door opened and Perth stepped inside.
I made a move to grab Plan.
Perth peeked out of the elevator. "Are you guys not coming in?" he asked, holding the elevator door open.
Plan quickly walked towards the elevator.
Fuck! Double fuck! No, make that triple fuck!
