Axel, smiling smugly at me is the last this I see before the doors cut off my view.

The night went by slowly. I couldn't fall asleep. Terrible scenarios played in my head, bad memories streamed from equally bad places, and Trevor's snoring wasn't helping in the least.

I was greeted with a dreamless darkness around one in the morning.

~

The sound of muttering and the door snapping open woke me up.

I tell you, the sight of one of your enemies carrying in food for you is sweeter than you think.

Xander set the trays aside and straightens up. Our eyes meet for a millisecond before he turned to leave.

"Wait!" I blurt out before I could think.

With his hand on the door and foot on the threshold he turns his head slightly,"What?"

Ummmm.....?

"When are we seeing Axel?"

"When its time." The sharp echo of the door is left in his wake.

~Ten A.M.~

I've been up for about two and a half hours now, while Trevor decided to rejoin the world about ten minutes ago. The only thing I can do now is look out the bullet proof windows, talk to Trevor, or sleep till Axel decides to see us. My choices are all mind numbing.

Sleep it is...

or so I thought.

Thud. Feet waltz into the room. Cue the English accent, "Get up you two! The boss can see you know." Stands up, useless manhandling, and finally the oak doors appear before us.

Funny how yesterday was painstakingly slow, while today it's too fast for my taste.

The doors open up to show the beautiful study with the sophisticated thorn-in-my-side leader laying back in a leather seat.

"Lovely to see you two again. Really, it just brightens my day."

We don't say anything in return. Boris and Xander still have a vice grip on us both and the doors still gape widely behind us. It gave a freer feeling then the last time we were here. We weren't completely trapped in with this...murderer.

"Lets see. What should I do with you two?"

"You could first explain why Riri and I are here in the first place."

Hmmm........I mean, Trevor and I discussed this already but we might as well here it from him. Also, it takes up time that could be used to get rid of us or something.

Axel gave Trevor a scathing look before turning his seat to face the arced window behind him, efficiently blocking us from further view.

"First for you, Trevor. You blatantly disobeyed your commanding officer, gave confidential information to a known enemy, and defected from this organization. You also......you left me. After knowing me for sixty some years........Trev, you just up and left."

At the end of his tirade his voice lost it's heat, it's passion for berating his once was friend.

It didn't last long.

"And now Riri. To start off you, come from family members who have messed with the notion of revolution and died because of it. That automatically makes you suspicious. Next, you gave away out secret so carelessly nearly a decade and a half ago. Lastly, you have out ran and outsmarted my subordinates countless times, which has irritated me and my predecessor to no end."

Well...ok then.

A sign sounds then the distinct sound of a weight lifting from leather.

"Polly. Good to see you got my message earlier. Please, come in."

.............

.......OH MY GOSH! Where did Polly come from?!!!

Polly maneuvered past Boris and Xander with ease, gave a withering look that matched my astonished one, and proceeded to stand before Axel.

"What is it you need, sir?"

"I'm sending Trevor to the holding cell for the time being. As for Riri...I leave her in your capable hands. Get as much information as you can get with out any damage. This is temporary. Do not cause her or Trevor any extensive harm. Am I understood?"

"But sir! They are trai-"

Axel held up his hand and squashed the rebuttal she was about to make.

"I understand that but since they are both in our custody they are not a major threat as of now. In...two weeks time I will summon them and you back to figure out a more permanent solution."

Silence filtered in.

"If you have no more questions you are free to go."

And with that he dismissed the lot of us. Trevor and Xander diverged from their usual path to our...my room. Polly disappeared straight after Axel said 'go'. From the looks of it I won't have to deal with Polly till later.

Little did I know that the next two weeks would be....more than I could handle.
