Chapter 2
After for what seem like an eternity, I was finally free to go.
I ran outside the school, hoping I still have time to buy myself a record when I saw teenagers flocking away from the store muttering happily to themselves. I squeezed in through the crowd and entered. To my disappointment, I saw the shelves are half empty now. Not wanting to accept defeat immediately, I quickly grabbed a record only to be outnumbered by several girls with hands like kleptomaniacs who each got one of their own, leaving me empty-handed.
Devastated, I approached the counter and asked, "Where are the other Beatles' records?" The staff turned to me and said, "Sorry, lady. That's the last stock we have there. Better luck next time, I guess." I sighed and decided to look for other records worth buying since I wasn't looking forward to go home too soon.
While rummaging, I heard the other employees whispering excitedly to themselves. One of them said, "I can't believe we were still able to get a copy of The Beatles' latest record. For a moment, I thought we would be a goner like the unfortunate ones." Another laughed, "Good thing we didn't put all of them for display, otherwise we'll have nothing. Where'd you put those records of yours, anyway?" The so-called leader from the group turned to him and grinned, "To the storage room, of course. Nobody would go dare look for those cause I kept it real hidden." I was fuming with anger the moment I heard them say this. Real hidden, eh? I thought to myself, you just wait and see, mister.
