Chapter Ten

As the taxi driver pulled up to the club, I was having seconds thoughts. For one, I'm not dressed for this and two, I don't like to drink. I sigh shakily and give the driver his money and climbed out of the cab. There wasn't really a line because it was the middle of the afternoon. I walk up to the security man and show him my ID. He nods and lets me in.

I look around. It light inside and music was playing softly, there wasn't really anyone here. This doesn't seem like a club at all. Oh my, what have I gotten myself into? It had a bar on one side and booths all around the walls with a huge wooden dance floor and a little stage for the DJ. There was a no one there so the music must be playing over the overhead sound system. I look around and and make my way to the bar and swirled around in the chair. Where was everyone?

"Hello?" I called. All the sudden a guy jumped up from the bar, hitting his head on the counter.

"Crap." He muttered, rubbing his head. I laughed and he looked up at me"Oh sorry. Hi, didn't see you there. What would you like?"

I think about it, "Surprise me." Since I didn't really know what drinks taste good, because I don't like to drink. He smiled and walked off. His smile made me freeze, he reminded me of someone. I blink a couple times....that's weird. I'm pretty sure I have never seen him before.

"Where you from? You don't sound like you're from here." He asks with his back to me, making a drink. I laugh, "America."

He looks over his shoulder, grinning, "America! I used to live there, but I don't remember it! What's it like?"

"It's cool...I guess. But you would love it. There's a guy called Ian Somerhalder on a TV show called, 'Vampire Diaries.' You look like you could be his brother."

He laughs,"That's because he is my brother. He's my older brother. My family moved here a long time ago when Ian turned 18. I'm Ethan Somerhalder. I'm 19 and since he's 33. Well...uh...I've been here since I was 4 years old." My jaw drops, no wonder he looks so cute and they look alike. He has the same green/blue scorching eyes and except with brown hair he has light brown-blondish hair.

"Y-You're a Somerhalder?!"

He chuckled, "Yes." I grinned, this was amazing! I need to tell Lexi and Tiarne! I take out my phone and look at it. I'm mad at them. Well, I should excuse Tiarne because she doesn't really know me, but the boys...

I put my phone back in my back pocket. "What's wrong?" He asks walking over and handing me my drink.

"What makes you think something is wrong?" I ask and take a sip, feeling the burning liquid run down my throat. I make a face, too strong.

He laughs, "Well, it's the middle of the afternoon and you're at a club...drinking. And you took out your phone all excited then sad, putting it back."

"Hmmm. You're smart...." He raises an eyebrow and I sigh, "Yes. Yes, something is wrong."

"Why don't you tell me? I heard somewhere that it's easier to tell your problems to a stranger."

"But you're not a stranger. I know you're Ethan Somerhalder and that you're brother is a hot celebrity."

Oh gosh, did I really say that out loud? I blush.

He laughed, "I get that a lot. But I don't know your name."

"Danielle, but my friends call me Dani." I don't know why I'm telling him these things. I guess I feel safe around him.

"I like your name, sooooo, tell me what's wrong." I sigh and tell him everything. I tell him everything since the kidnapping to now. During the story, he somehow ended up siting on a seat beside me and I finished my beer and now drinking a tea while he had a water. He would nod time to time, and ask me questions, listening intently. When I finished telling the story, I sighed and he pulled me in a big hug. I hug him back, smiling a little. He was really nice. He seemed like the perfect guy friend.

"Well, Dani, you sound like a cool girl, I'd really like to become friends. I'll be, like....the guy you can vent to and stuff." He says thoughtfully, pulling away.

"Sure. I was just thinking what a great friend you would be if you would do this to a stranger."

"Well your not a stranger now. I know you a lot more than you know me. Would it be okay if we hang out later and just chill, get to know each other better? Because frankly, I have problems I have been wanting to vent out lately."

I nodded, "Sure. That would be great! Let's just exchange numbers." I handed him my phone and he handed me his. I typed in my information and handed back his phone and a couple seconds later he handed back my phone.

"Cool. So, see you later." I smile, nodding and hug him, then walk away, waving. Almost to the door, I turn around, "Ethan?"

He looked up from washing the counter tops. "Yeah?"

"Do you want to come to my hotel room and chill. You cant vent out your problems to me, then. I don't really have anything else to do."

He shrugged and smiled, "That would be great! Can't wait! My shift ends in an hour, will it be okay if I come then?"

I look at my clock. It was 3 o'clock p.m. WE'VE BEEN TALKING FOR THREE HOURS! How could he  have put up with me for that long!

I smile, "That's fine. See you then. I'll text you the address and stuff. See you later." I wave and walk out as he screams' bye' back. He was really nice. It felt great venting out to someone. I guess, that was just what I needed. I needed to be nice to him when he vents so he feels much better, I thought as I climbed into a random cab and told him the address to the hotel. While driving, I text Ethan the hotel address and stuff. We arrive there soon and I absentmindedly pay him , walking into the hotel. I smile and literally skip through the lobby. I felt great! Venting was defiantly what I needed.

"Dani!"

I whip around and then...I see...him. I frown. Louis.

"Don't call me that."

"Why?" He asks, walking up to me, now a couple inches away. I could feel his breath on my face making me tingle and a shiver run down my spine.

"Because only my friends can call me that." I say and look around, everywhere except his face.

"What? We're not friends?" There's a pause and he sighs, frustrated, "Why won't you look at me?" He asks, putting a finger under my chin and making me look into his eyes. He sighs, "I'm very truly sorry. I'm mad at myself now. I shouldn't have done that."

I look into his eyes. He was staring right into mine, so I knew he wasn't lying unless he was just a really good liar. But his eyes showed that he was truly sorry.

I sigh, "You're forgiven and everyone else."

"Yay!" He pulls out his arms to hug me and I duck to my feet. He ended up hugging himself.

"What?" He mumbles and looks around, then looks down seeing me. I get back up and take a couple steps away from him. "You're forgiven, but I don't want to be around you and the boys any more. There's too much drama that I can't take that comes with you guys." His confused look turns to one of hurt. He frowns and his eyes show one simple emotion.

Sadness.

"I-I'm sorry. But I got to go." I stutter then run into the elevator as a family goes in. I take one last look at Louis as the doors close. He's frozen into his spot, silent tears rolling down his face as he staring at me. The door close and I push my floor number. My eyes start to water. Why was this so hard? I have only known them for what? Three days maybe? Why was Louis crying? I thought guys don't really cry. I'm the softy here!

But I did feel like I have known them forever and that they were my second best mates in the whole world. I would hang with Lexi and Tiarne because they don't carry all the drama.

"Are you okay lady?" I look down and see a young girl with brown pigtails with a little rag doll clutched to her chest. She was so adorable.

"Yes. Thank you for asking." I smile weakly. The doors open and I walk out, to my room.

What a lie.....
