Surprise surprise, Kaede's pov

I have to do what I can to save him and help purple grape man...I CAN'T BAHAHA THIS NAME'S SO FUNNY WHAT
That's what I thought heading to the meeting spot of Kokichi's friends.
I couldn't really focus on anything. My mind was drifting away, I tripped almost everywhere. I didn't even have a sense of time. I thought it was just five minutes, but in fact a half of an hour passed.

After a lot of complications, I saw a person with a checked scarf. I don't know how did I even recognize the shapes, but I approached him. He understood my every word. I feel like he had a lot of experience with drunk people. Than he took my hand, and led my to the actual meeting spot.

As it turned out, if the shop wasn't closed and he didn't go to another one to buy snacks, I wouldn't have seen him and the whole story could have ended differently. But they came here with me. They didn't leave me behind. That was a surprise, they didn't even know me...

I told my story to Shuichi who just woke up and was confused on what's happening.

"So the guy I met at the store...he tried to save me even if he didn't know me well..." Saihara said with a light smile on his face.
"Basically! He must have carried us here, because I collapsed somewhere totally else." I said.

"OK Kaede, but...why can I smell alcohol from you?"

"I thought that all the people who like meet in alleys and all, are bad people. That's why I drank before I met him in the café. I got scared, not only of Shuichi being kidnapped, but also of Kokichi himself. I thought he was going to be mad, hit me or something...turned out he was actually really nice." I explained.

I was weak. I was scared that Kokichi would say that he can't understand what I'm saying, and if I am weak there's no point in searching for Saihara if I don't believe in the success myself. Instead he have found a solution, and understood me. Same with his friends. I know Shuichi will understand. He is my friend and I trust him. That's why I told him the whole truth.

"Oh! I thought they spiked your drink or something...it's ok Kaede. I'm glad that nothing bad happened." he said and smiled.
I smiled back.

Than a human body started flying towards us, and collapsed.

"Don't worry guys, he ain't dead. He's just sleepin'!" a familiar voice exclaimed.

"Kokichi... I have to thank him. Both him and you. If not you both, I don't know what would happen." Saihara said seriously.
"I too have to thank him and his friends. But don't even say you have to thank me. That's what friends do: help eachother! If not Ouma I wouldn't have known what to do." I finished our conversation.
After that we just looked at the fight that was going on between Kokichi and the bad guys.
