Leo sighed as he returned to the lair, walking straight to his room. He was exhausted. He heard the sounds of Donnie working in his lab, no doubt he probably hadn't slept for a long time knowing his brother. He saw Splinter as he sat in the dojo meditating, and Raph's room was empty. As usual.

Two years ago, They went into Mikey's mind and discovered many things they hadn't known about their happy little brother. "Happy". Things were seen that couldn't be unseen, and Leo still had nightmares about what happened in there occasionally. They messed up. They knew about how sensitive their brother was, and decided to behave like he was a monster, which encouraged Mikey to run away, leaving behind his comics and action figures.

What scared Leo was a torn and tattered photograph they found at the old amusement park. It was a picture they took when they just started going topside. And it was missing from Mikey's room when he left. What that meant, Leo didn't know, but they could not find their brother after that, no matter what they tried or who they asked.

There were still many criminals running around New York, like the Purple Dragons and a few more gangs that surfaced, kraang activity had died down a long time ago, and the shredder was laying low, which was odd, so they were all on their guard lest he try something.

Things started to go downhill when Mikey disappeared. Leo yelled at Raph. Raph yelled at Donnie. Donnie broke down and Splinter had to yell to calm them down. Then they found the old photograph and Raph took off. They started to drift apart even more after that, and even when Leo and Donnie joined the mighty Mutanimals, Donnie eventually stopped going, deciding to be cooped up in his lab all day with little sleep, doing who knew what, down in the dumps about April hardly coming over anymore and with Mikey's disappearance. Raph rarely appeared anymore, often disappearing at odd hours and sleeping all day. Whenever Leo saw him, they merely brushed past each other and rarely spoke to each other.

Recently though, the Mighty Mutanimals found themselves with hardly any crime to fight. When they reached a crime scene, the troublemakers were always tied up and dealt with. Leo often went out on patrol with them (they didn't really do much, just talk and make sure nothing weird was going on) but when the city was peaceful and quiet, Leo spent the time searching for Mikey.

He hadn't given up, and neither had Splinter. Splinter often spent his time meditating and trying to find Mikey. With No luck so far, but Leo knew he would do it. In the meantime he would do what he could. He hardly saw Karai anymore, and sort of... Missed her. Yet the only sign that the Shredder was still around was the appearance of the foot every once in a while, and even they were dealt with by the mysterious vigilante who did their job for them.

The city had started to take notice of the vigilante, and had called him the "NightWatcher" as he always left a signature 'NW' next to the tied up criminals. Leo had just returned from looking around the amusement park... Again, in vain, and he just hoped something would turn up soon.

He opened the door, welcoming the sight of his room and his bed. Especially his bed. He put his Katanas down on the table, and flopped down onto the already made bed, drifting off to sleep.

"Leo..."
He spun around, looking for the source of the voice.
"Leo..."
That voice. "Mikey? Mikey, where are you?"
"You didn't come after me..."
"I did! I swear I did! We were all looking, I'm still looking! We found your old photo at the amusement park!"
"You didn't try hard enough..."
Tears stung Leo's eyes as he tried to find his little brother.
"We did! We really did...." He tried to catch his breath. It was dark. Why was it so dark?
"Why did you run away? We love you so much Mikey... Your disappearance torn us apart..."
Mikey appears. His mouth is twisted into a sick cold smile as he stares at Leo.
"Why? Why? If you really loved me so much... Well..." He chuckled. It echoed throughout the space and Leo tried not to break down.
"Maybe you would have Shown it better." Mikey said bluntly and walked away.
"Wait! Mikey, wait! Don't-"

He woke up with a start, and sat up. Donnie stood in the corner. Eyes red and huge bags under them, cup of coffee in his hands. He looked even more bony than usual. Raph stood in the doorway, folding his arms, looking almost as tired as Donnie.

"You screamed really loudly." Was all Raph said.
"You still haven't given up on Finding Mikey?" Donnie asked softly, the doubt and exhaustion visible in his eyes.
"How could I?" Leo asked. Donnie opened his mouth as if to say something, but thought better of it.
"Don't tell me it's hopeless Donnie. It's not. There's a chance he's alive, and we need to get all the leads we can to find him."

Raph sighed. "You know that probably won't happen Leo. It's been two years."
"You too Raph?"
"You have to face reality eventually,"
Leo looked away. How could they have given up? How? It was Mikey they were talking about. Their brother. And they easily dismissed him as gone for good.

A sudden ring interrupted the silence, and Raph picked up his T-phone, answering the call. "Yeah Casey, what's up?"
He put the phone on speaker mode. "Casey said you would want to hear this," Raph explained.
They heard the sound of police sirens and Casey's sniffing. And the faint sound of a man muttering in the background. Leo recognised the voice of Mr O'neil.
Apparently Donnie did too, because he stared intently at the phone, curiosity and hope lighting up his tired eyes.

"April... April..." Casey stammered.
"What's wrong?" Donnie asked immediately, concern in his face.
"Well? Spit it out Casey," Raph said.
"I... Well..."
Suspense hung in the air and they waited tensely as Casey's sobbing continued. What happened? And how was April involved? Leo was already mentally preparing himself for the worst.

"Somebody broke into her house and... Now She's dead."
