Disclaimer on chapter 1

Kensi's pov

"Hey Eric, you know you need some sort of code to break the encryption on the signal from the video."

"Yeah, you got it?"

"I think my mum gave it to me and it didn't registrar till now try 'MGHSD-DEEKS'."

"Ok...Hey kens Deeks is back on line"

"Kensi" Deeks whispers. "Kensi, I know I've never been good at communication but what happened before Sidorov took me and Sam was real for me and I meant it." He paused. "My half..." He was cut off by a pistol whip to the face.

"How dare you!" A man with a raspy British accent says after he hit Deeks, he then pulls out a knife and stabs Deeks in the leg. I can see on Deeks' face that he's in pain but he's trying not to show it.

"Eric?"

"Got it. There in a warehouse on the outskirts of town, the address is being sent to you phones. I'll notify Sam and Callen."

I rush downstairs and into the car and head to the address. I meet Sam and Callen there gearing up.

"It's a massive warehouse with 2 upper floors and a basement, we will clear it one floor at a time. We'll stick together as it's so big... Let's go!" Callen instructs.

We head in from the front as quietly as possible we clear the ground floor then the first floor with no sign of Deeks. As we head down to the basement I hear a deep moan and I instantly know its Deeks. I start to run towards him but Sam grabs my arm.

"Kens stop we'll get to him we need to make sure he's alone."

I know he's right but hearing Deeks in pain makes my heart feel like it's stopped. We clear room after room till we get the one at the end of the corridor; Deeks is sitting tied to a chair in the middle of a raised plate.

Deeks pov

I can hear footsteps outside I know it's my team as once my half-brother found out they decrypted the video transmission, him and his team left me with a surprise under my chair. Kensi, is that her she looks so tired but relief on her face makes me feel safe, even though I'm on a pressure plate and if more weight is added or weight is taken away. Kaboom!

Kensi starts to run over to me.

"NO STOP!" I shout as loud as I can and she stops dead.

"I'm on a pressure plate, look just get out if hear I'm not worth it" I say with the last of my strength right before I pass out.

Kensi pov

"NO STOP!" Deeks shouted. He has never shouted at me like that but he had to. Otherwise we would all be being pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle.

"I'm on a pressure plate, look just get out if hear I'm not worth it" he says with the last of his strength, them passes out from blood loss. He is worth it, he is my everything, my world. Stop! Kensi he's just you partner. You don't love your partner.

We need to get to him soon, Sam is working on disarming the bomb while Callen is getting any prints of the kidnappers and any information off their computer they left behind.

"Clear" Sam say with a sigh after what feels like years. I run over to Deeks give him a hug being carful of his injuries and then untie him. We let the EMT's in and they get Deeks on to a stretcher and they carry him up to the ambulance. I run up the stairs, get in my car and head to the hospital probably braking about 20 different traffic laws.

Once there I head to reception.

"Hi, I'm looking for Detective Martin Deeks' room" I say to the receptionist who is taking her time. "Hurry up... It's the guy who was just rushed in beaten and stabbed."

"He's just gone it to surgery as he has lost a lot of blood. You can go wait in the waiting room on floor 3." She says in the end. I rush to floor 3. I've been waiting for what feel like days.

"Family of Mr Deeks?"

"Yes that's me" I say as I rush up to the doctor. "Is he going to be ok?"

"I'm sorry to say he's in an induced coma due to the blood loss and may suffer major amnesia, but we can't tell till he wakes up, if he wakes up. It's up to him and depends on whether he's got something to live for. Again my sympathies, you can go see him now if you wish."

I reach the outside of Deeks' room and I worry that he won't wake up.
