I've been pretty cheerful lately. But..why?
We...can't even go outside?
I can't even visit friends?
We can't go to school?
Are...we trapped in this prison?
Why...has this happened to us?

I hold my ears and try to think happy thoughts. For a moment, it feels as though my ears and tails are gone. Like I am free from this prison. I shake myself awake and find that to my surprise...

My ears and tail really are gone.

Mega's POV

I find Zelk staring down at the floor. Except, he has no ears or tail. It's just normal Zelk.

" Zelk? "

" O-oh! M-Mega.. " he stutters, his face becoming a light shade of pink.

" Why don't you have ears, or a tail? "

" I'm not sure Mega..they just disappeared! "

" What were you doing when they disappeared? "

" Well, I spaced out, and thought, what if we were stuck in this prison forever? And..they just..were gone! "

I try to space out and think, negative thoughts. We..can't be stuck here forever! I..do want to stay with Zelk but..I..mean Jacob. But..not forever...

" Mega! Oh my goodness, Mega! "

" Huh? "

" Your ears are gone! And your tail! It worked! "

Oh crap. They..are gone.
Wait.
So..how do we get them back?

" That's great Zelk- Jacob..but.. how do we get them back? "

" Oh. "

His sweet smile faded, and turned into a confused frown.

" I didn't think of that. "

" What if... "

Wait. If you can lose your ears and tail by thinking negatively, then wouldn't you get them back by thinking positively?

" Hey Jacob! If you can remove your tail and ears by thinking bad thoughts, wouldn't you be able to get them back by thinking good thoughts? "

" Oh, I didn't think of that either! Let's try it! "

Zelk.

I immediately feel my ears, and tail begin to fluff up again. It worked! All I thought of is Zelk. 0///0

" It worked! Oh, I love you Mega! Fluffy ears!! "
